1 Kings 2
1 Forsothe the daies of Dauid neiyiden, that he schulde die; and he comaundide to Salomon, his sone, and seide, Lo!
Samtang hapit na ang adlaw sa kamatayon ni David, gimandoan niya ang iyang anak nga lalaki nga si Solomon, nga nag-ingon,
2 Y entre in to the weie of al erthe; be thou coumfortid, and be thou a strong man.

3 And kepe thou the kepyngis and heestis of thi Lord God, that thou go in hise weies, and kepe hise cerymonyes, and hise heestis, and hise domes, and witnessyngis, as it is writun in the lawe of Moises; that thou vndurstonde alle thingis whiche thou doist, and whidur euer thou schalt turne thee.
Tipigi ang mga mando ni Yahweh nga imong Dios aron paglakaw sa iyang mga dalan, aron pagtuman sa iyang mga balaod, iyang mga mando, iyang mga paghukom, ug iyang mga kasugoan, pagmatngon ka sa pagbuhat kung unsa ang nahisulat sa balaod ni Moises, aron magmalamposon ka sa tanan nimong pagabuhaton, bisan asa ka moadto,
4 That the Lord conferme hise wordis, whiche the Lord spak of me, and seide, If thi sones kepen my weies, and goen bifor me in treuthe, in al her herte, and in al her soule, a man schal not be takun awei of thee fro the trone of Israel.
aron matuman ni Yahweh ang iyang mga pulong nga iyang gisulti mahitungod kanako, nga nag-ingon, 'Kung ang imong mga anak magmabinantayon sa ilang mga lihok, nga matinud-anong maglakaw sa akong atubangan uban sa ilang tibuok nga kasingkasing ug tibuok nilang kalag, dili gayod mahutdan ug tawo sa trono sa Israel.'
5 Also thou knowist what thingis Joab, the sone of Saruye, dide to me; what thingis he dide to twey princis of the oost of Israel, to Abner, sone of Ner, and to Amasa, sone of Jether, whiche he killide, and schedde the blood of batel in pees; and puttide the blood of batel in his girdil, that was aboute hise leendis, and in his scho, that was in hise feet.
Nasayod ka usab kung unsa ang gibuhat ni Joab nga anak nga lalaki ni Zeruya nganhi kanako, ug sa iyang gibuhat sa duha ka mga pangulo sa kasundalohan sa Israel, kang Abner nga anak nga lalaki ni Ner, ug kang Amasa nga anak nga lalaki ni Jeter, nga iyang gipatay. Giula niya ang dugo sa pagpakiggubat diha sa kalinaw ug nabutang ang dugo sa pagpakiggubat sa bakos palibot sa iyang hawak ug sa iyang sandalyas.
6 Therfor thou schalt do by thi wisdom, and thou schalt not lede forth his hoornesse pesibli to hellis. (Sheol h7585)

7 But also thou schalt yelde grace to the sones of Bersellai of Galaad, and thei schulen be eetynge in thi boord; for thei metten me, whanne Y fledde fro the face of Absolon, thi brother.
Apan, ipakita ang imong kaayo ngadto sa mga anak nga lalaki ni Barzilai nga taga-Gilead, ug tugoti nga uban sila nga mokaon sa imong lamesa tungod kay miadto sila kanako sa dihang mikalagiw ako gikan kang Absalom nga imong igsoon nga lalaki.
8 Also thou hast anentis thee Semey, sone of Gera, sone of Gemyny, of Bahurym, which Semei curside me bi the worste cursyng, whanne Y yede to `the castels; but for he cam doun to me in to metyng, whanne Y passide Jordan, and Y swoor to him bi the Lord, and seide, Y schal not slee thee bi swerd,
Tan-awa, anaa uban kanimo si Shimei nga anak nga lalaki ni Gera, nga ang Benjaminhon nga taga-Bahurim, nga nagtunglo kanako sa bug-at nga pagtunglo sa adlaw nga miadto ako sa Mahanaim. Milugsong si Shimei aron pagtagbo kanako sa Jordan, ug nagsaad ako ngadto kaniya pinaagi kang Yahweh, nga nag-ingon, 'Dili ko ikaw pagapatyon pinaagi sa espada.'
9 nyle thou suffre hym to be vnpunyschid; forsothe thou art a wise man, and thou schalt wite what thou schalt do to hym, and thou schalt lede forth hise hoor heeris with blood to hellis. (Sheol h7585)
Karon ayaw itugot nga dili siya masilotan. Maalamon ikaw, ug nasayod ka unsay angay nimong buhaton ngadto kaniya. Dad-on nimo ang ubanon niya nga ulo ngadto sa lubnganan nga adunay dugo.” (Sheol h7585)
10 Sotheli Dauid slepte with hise fadris, and was biriede in the citee of Dauid.
Unya namatay si David ug gilubong siya uban sa iyang mga katigulangan ngadto sa siyudad ni David.
11 Forsothe the daies, in whiche Dauid regnede on Israel, ben fourti yeer; in Ebron he regned seuene yeer, in Jerusalem thre and thretti yeer.
Sa adlaw nga naghari si David sa Israel sulod sa 40 ka tuig. Naghari siya sa Hebron ug pito ka tuig ug 33 ka tuig sa Jerusalem.
12 Forsothe Salomon sat on the trone of Dauid, his fadir, and his rewme was maad stidfast greetli.
Unya milingkod si Solomon sa trono sa iyang amahan nga si David, ug lig-on kaayo ang iyang gingharian.
13 And Adonye, sone of Agith, entride to Bersabee, modir of Salomon; and sche seide to hym, Whether thin entryng is pesible? And he answeride, It is pesible.
Unya miadto si Adonia nga anak nga lalaki ni Hagit ngadto kang Batsheba nga inahan ni Solomon. Miingon siya, “Mianhi ka ba sa kalinaw?” Mitubag siya, “Sa kalinaw.”
14 And he addide, A word of me is to thee. `To whom sche seide, Speke thou.
Unya miingon siya, “Anaa akoy buot isulti nganha kanimo.” Busa mitubag siya, “Pagsulti.”
15 And he seide, Thou knowist that the rewme was myn, and al Israel purposide to make me in to king to hem; but the rewme is translatid, and is maad my brotheris; for of the Lord it is ordeyned to hym.
Miingon si Adonia, Nasayod ka nga ang gingharian akoa, ug ang tibuok Israel naglaom nga mamahimo akong hari. Apan nausab ang tanan, ug ang gingharian gihatag ngadto sa akong igsoon nga lalaki nga si Solomon tungod kay iya man kini gikan kang Yahweh.
16 Now therfor Y preye of the oon axyng; schende thou not my face. And sche seide to hym, Speke thou. And he seide, Y preie,
Karon aduna akoy usa ka hangyo diha kanimo, ug ayaw ako balibari.” Miingon si Batsheba ngadto kaniya, “Pagsulti.”
17 that thou seie to Salomon the king; for he may not denye ony thing to thee; that he yyue to me Abisag of Sunam wijf.
Miingon siya, “Palihog pakigsulti kang Solomon nga hari, tungod kay dili gayod ka niya balibaran, nga ihatag niya si Abishag nga taga-Shunem nga mamahimo kong asawa.”
18 And Bersabee seide, Wel, Y schal speke for thee to the kyng.
Miingon si Batsheba, “Maayo, makigsulti ako sa hari.”
19 Therfor Bersabee cam to kyng Salomon, to speke to hym for Adonye; and the kyng roos ayens the comyng of hir, and worschipide hir, and `sat on his trone; and a trone was set to the modir of the kyng, and sche sat at his riyt side.
Busa miadto si Batsheba ngadto kang Haring Solomon aron sa pagpakigsulti alang kang Adonia. Mitindog ang hari aron pagtagbo kaniya ug miyukbo kaniya. Unya milingkod siya sa iyang trono ug nagpadala ug usa ka trono alang sa inahan sa hari. Milingkod siya sa tuong kamot nga bahin dapit sa hari.
20 And sche seide to hym, Y preie of thee o litil axyng; schende thou not my face. And the kyng seide to hir, My modir, axe thou; for it is not leueful that Y turne awei thi face.
Unya miingon siya, “Aduna akoy hangyo nganha kanimo, kay dili mo ako pagabalibaran.” Mitubag ang hari kaniya, “Pangayo, akong inahan, kay dili ko gayod ikaw pagabalibaran.”
21 And sche seide, Abisag of Sunam be youun wijf to Adonye, thi brother.
Miingon siya, “Tugoti nga ihatag si Abishag nga taga-Shunem ngadto kang Adonia nga imong igsoon nga lalaki nga mamahimo niyang asawa.”
22 And kyng Salomon answeride, and seide to his modir, Whi axist thou Abisag of Sunam to Adonye? Axe thou to hym also the rewme; for he is `my gretter brothir, and he hath Abiathar, preest, and Joab, sone of Saruye.
Mitubag si Haring Solomon ug miingon sa iyang inahan, “Nganong gipangayo mo man si Abishag, nga taga-Shunem para kang Adonia? Nganong dili mo man usab pangayoon ang gingharian alang kaniya, tungod kay ako man siyang magulang—alang kaniya, alang kang Abiatar nga pari, ug alang kang Joab nga anak nga lalaki ni Zeruya?'
23 Therfor kyng Salomon swoor bi the Lord, and seide, God do to me these thingis, and adde these thinges, for Adonie spak this word ayens his lijf.
Unya nanumpa si Haring Solomon pinaagi kang Yahweh, nga nag-ingon, “Hinaot nga pagabuhaton sa Dios kanako, ug labaw pa usab, kung wala nagsulti si Adonia niini nga pulong batok sa iyang kaugalingong kinabuhi.
24 And now the Lord lyueth, that confermede me, and hath set me on the trone of my fadir, and that hath maad to me an hows, as he spak, for Adonye schal be slayn to dai.
Ug karon sama nga si Yahweh buhi, nga kinsay nagpahiluna kanako sa trono ni David nga akong amahan, ug naghimo kanako ug panimalay nga iyang gisaad, tinuod mamatay gayod si Adonia karong adlawa.”
25 And kyng Salomon sente bi the hond of Banaie, sone of Joiada; which Banaie killide Adonye, and he was deed.
Busa gipadala ni Haring Solomon si Benaya nga anak nga lalaki ni Jehoyada, ug nakaplagan gayod ni Benaya si Adonia ug gipatay siya.
26 Also the kyng seide to Abiathar, preest, Go thou in to Anatot, to thi feeld; and sotheli thou art a man of deeth, `that is, worthi the deeth, for conspiryng ayens me, and the ordynaunce of God, and of my fadir; but to dai Y schal not sle thee, for thou barist the arke of the Lord God bifor Dauid, my fadir, and thou suffridist trauele in alle thingis, in whiche my fadir trauelide.
Unya miingon ang hari ngadto kang Abiatar nga pari, “Lakaw ngadto sa Anatot, sa imong kaumahan. Angayan ka nga mamatay, apan dili ko usa ikaw pagapatyon karon tungod kay nagdala ka sa kasabotan ni Yahweh atubangan ni David nga akong amahan ug nag-antos sama nga nag-antos ang akong amahan.”
27 Therfor Salomon puttide out Abiathar, that he schulde not be preest of the Lord, that the word of the Lord were fillid, which he spak on the hows of Heli, in Silo.
Busa gipapahawa ni Solomon si Abiatar sa iyang pagkapari ngadto kang Yahweh, aron iyang tumanon ang pulong ni Yahweh nga iyang gipamulong sa balay ni Eli didto sa Shilo.
28 Forsothe a messager cam to Salomon, that Joab hadde bowid aftir Adonye, and that he hadde not bowid after Salomon. Therfor Joab fledde in to the tabernacle of the Lord, and took the horn of the auter.
Miabot ang balita ngadto kang Joab, tungod kay gisuportahan man niya si Adonia, bisan wala niya suportahi si Absalom. Busa mikalagiw si Joab ngadto sa tolda ni Yahweh ug migunit sa mga sungay sa halaran.
29 And it was teld to kyng Salomon, that Joab hadde fledde in to the tabernacle of the Lord, and was bisidis the auter; and Salomon sente Banaie, sone of Joiada, and seide, Go thou, and sle hym.
Gisugilon kang Haring Solomon nga si Joab mikalagiw ngadto sa tolda ni Yahweh ug anaa na tupad sa halaran. Unya gipadala ni Solomon si Benaya nga anak ni Jehoyada, nga nag-ingon, “Lakaw, Patya siya.”
30 And Banaie cam to the tabernacle of the Lord, and seide to Joab, The kyng seith these thingis, Go thou out. And he seide, Y schal not go out, but Y schal die here. Banaie telde the word to the kyng, and seide, Joab spak thes thingis, and answeride these thingis to me.
Busa miabot si Benaya sa tolda ni Yahweh, ug miingon ngadto kaniya. “Miingon ang hari, 'Gawas diha.” Mitubag si Joab, “Dili, mamatay ako dinhi.” Busa mibalik si Benaya ngadto sa hari, nga nag-ingon, “Miingon si Joab nga buot siyang mamatay didto sa halaran.”
31 And the kyng seide to Banaie, Do thou as he spak, and sle thou hym, and birie him; and thou schalt remoue the innocent blood, that was sched out of Joab, fro me, and fro the hows of my fadir.
Miingon ang hari ngadto kaniya, “Buhata sumala sa iyang gisulti. Patya siya ug ilubong siya aron makuha gikan kanako ug sa balay sa akong amahan ang dugo nga gipaagas ni Joab nga walay hinungdan.
32 And the Lord yelde on his heed his blood, for he killide twei iust men, and betere than hym silf, and he killide hem bi swerd, while Dauid, my fadir, `wiste not, Abner, the sone of Ner, the prince of the chyualrie of Israel, and Amasa, sone of Jether, the prince of the oost of Juda.
Balosan unta ni Yahweh sa dugo sa iyang ulo, tungod kay iyang gisulong ang duha ka mga labing matarong ug maayo nga mga tawo kaysa iyang kaugalingon ug gipatay sila gamit ang espada, si Abner nga anak nga lalaki ni Ner, ang mga kapitan sa kasundalohan sa Israel, ug si Amasa nga anak nga lalaki ni Jeter, ang kapitan sa kasundalohan sa Juda, nga wala man gani nasayran sa akong amahan nga si David.
33 And the blood of hem schal turne ayen in to the heed of Joab, and in to the heed of his seed with outen ende; forsothe pees be of the Lord til in to with outen ende to Dauid, and to his seed, and to the hous and trone of hym.
Busa balikan unta sa ilang dugo ang ulo ni Joab ug ang ulo sa iyang mga kaliwatan hangtod sa kahangtoran. Apan aduna untay kalinaw hangtod sa kahangtoran ngadto kang David, ug sa iyang mga kaliwatan, ug sa iyang panimalay, ug sa iyang trono nga gikan kang Yahweh.”
34 Therfor Banaie, sone of Joiada, stiede, and asailide, and killide Joab; and Joab was biried in his hows in deseert.
Unya misaka si Benaya nga anak ni Jehoyada, ug misulong ug gipatay si Joab. Gilubong siya sa iyang panimalay sa kamingawan.
35 And the kyng ordeynede Banaie, sone of Joiada, on the oost for hym; and the kyng puttide Sadoch preest for Abiathar.
Gibutang sa hari si Benaya nga anak ni Jehoyada nga puli kang Joab ngadto sa mga kasundalohan, ug gibutang niya si Zadok nga pari sa puli kang Abiatar.
36 Also the kyng sente, and clepide Semey, and seide to hym, Bilde to thee an hows in Jerusalem, and dwelle thou there, and thou schalt not go out fro thennus hidur and thidur;
Unya nagpaadto ang hari ug gipatawag si Shimei, ug miingon kaniya, “Pagtukod ug puy-anan alang kanimo didto sa Jerusalem ug magpuyo ka didto, ug ayaw gayod paggawas didto padulong sa laing dapit.
37 sotheli in what euer dai thou goist out, and passist the stronde of Cedron, wite thou thee worthi to be slayn; thi blood schal be on thin heed.
Tungod kay sa adlaw nga mogawas ka, ug motabok sa walog sa Kidron, mamatay ka gayod. Ang imong dugo maanaa sa imong kamot.
38 And Semei seide to the kyng, The word of the kyng is good; as my lord the kyng spak, so thi seruaunt schal do. Therfor Semey dwellide in Jerusalem in many daies.
Busa miingon si Shimei ngadto sa hari, “Maayo imong gisulti. Ingon nga gisulti sa akong agalon nga hari, buhaton kana sa imong sulugoon.” Busa nagpuyo si Shimei sa Jerusalem sa daghan nga mga adlaw.
39 Forsothe it was doon after thre yeer, that the seruauntis of Semei fledden to Achis, sone of Maacha, the kyng of Geth; and it was teld to Semey, that hise seruauntis hadden go in to Geth.
Apan sa kataposan sa tulo ka tuig, duha sa mga sulugoon ni Shimei mikalagiw ngadto kang Akis nga anak nga lalaki ni Maaca, nga hari sa Gat. Busa giingnan nila si Shimei, nga nag-ingon, “Tan-awa, ang imong sulugoon anaa sa Gat.”
40 And Semey roos, and sadlide his asse, and yede to Achis, in to Geth, to seke hise seruauntis; and brouyte hem ayen fro Geth.
Unya mibangon si Shimei, ug gihampiloan ang iyang asno ug miadto kang Akis sa Gat aron pangitaon ang iyang mga sulugoon. Miadto siya ug gidala pagbalik ang iyang mga sulugoon gikan sa Gat.
41 Forsothe it was teld to kyng Salomon, that Semey hadde go to Geth fro Jerusalem, and hadde come ayen.
Sa dihang giingnan si Solomon nga si Shimei milakaw gikan sa Jerusalem ug miadto sa Gat ug nibalik,
42 And Salomon sente, and clepide hym, and seide to hym, Whether Y witnessede not to thee bi the Lord, and bifor seide to thee, In what euer dai thou schalt go out hidur and thidur, wite thou that thou schalt die; and thou answeridist to me, The word is good, which Y herde?
nagpadala ang hari ug tawo ug gipatawag si Shimei ug miingon kaniya, “Di ba gipapanumpa ko na ikaw pinaagi kang Yahweh ug nagpamatuod ngadto kanimo, nga nag-ingon, 'Sa panahon nga mogawas ka ug moadto sa ubang dapit, mamatay gayod ikaw'? Unya miingon ka nganhi kanako, 'Maayo ang imong gisulti.'
43 Whi therfor keptist thou not the ooth of the Lord, and the comaundement which Y comaundide to thee?
Nganong wala mo man tipigi ang imong pakigsaad ngadto kang Yahweh ug ang sugo nga gihatag ko kanimo?”
44 And the kyng seide to Semei, Thou knowist al the yuel, of which thin herte is gilti to thee, which yuel thou didist to my fadir; the Lord hath yolde thi malice in to thin heed.
Miingon usab ang hari ngadto kang Shimei, “Nasayod ka sa imong kasingkasing sa tanang pagkadaotan nga imong gihimo ngadto sa akong amahan nga si David. Busa ibalik ni Yahweh ang imong pagkadaotan sa imong kamot.
45 And kyng Salomon schal be blessid; and the trone of Dauid schal be stable bifor the Lord til in to with outen ende.
Apan mapanalanginan si Haring Solomon ug matukod ang trono ni David sa atubangan ni Yahweh hangtod sa kahangtoran.”
46 Therfor the kyng comaundide to Banaie, sone of Joiada; and he assailide, and smoot Semey, and he was deed.
Unya naghatag ang Hari ug sugo ngadto kang Benaya nga anak nga lalaki ni Jehoyada. Milakaw siya ug gipatay si Shimei. Busa nagmalig-on ang pagdumala sa kamot ni Solomon.
