1 Corinthians 1
1 Poul, clepid apostle of Jhesu Crist, bi the wille of God, and Sostenes, brothir, to the chirche of God that is at Corynthe,
Paweł, powołany apostoł Jezusa Chrystusa z woli Boga, i Sostenes, brat;
2 to hem that ben halewid in Crist Jhesu, and clepid seyntis, with alle that inwardli clepen the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, in ech place of hem and of oure,
Do kościoła Bożego w Koryncie, do uświęconych w Chrystusie Jezusie, powołanych świętych, ze wszystkimi, którzy w każdym miejscu wzywają imienia naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa, ich i naszego [Pana].
3 grace to you and pees of God, oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
Łaska wam i pokój od Boga, naszego Ojca, i Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.
4 Y do thankyngis to my God eueremore for you, in the grace of God that is youun to you in Crist Jhesu.
Zawsze dziękuję mojemu Bogu za was, za łaskę Bożą, która została wam dana w Chrystusie Jezusie.
5 For in alle thingis ye ben maad riche in hym, in ech word, and in ech kunnyng,
We wszystko bowiem jesteście wzbogaceni w nim, we wszelkie słowo i wszelkie poznanie;
6 as the witnessyng of Crist is confermyd in you;
Gdyż świadectwo Chrystusa jest utwierdzone w was;
7 so that no thing faile to you in ony grace, that abiden the schewyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist;
Tak że żadnego daru nie brakuje wam, którzy oczekujecie objawienia naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.
8 which also schal conferme you in to the ende with outen cryme, in the dai of the comyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
On też utwierdzi was aż do końca, abyście byli nienaganni w dniu naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.
9 `A trewe God, bi whom ye ben clepid in to the felouschipe of his sone Jhesu Crist oure Lord.
Wierny [jest] Bóg, przez którego zostaliście powołani do społeczności jego Syna, Jezusa Chrystusa, naszego Pana.
10 But, britheren, Y biseche you, bi the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that ye alle seie the same thing, and that dissenciouns be not among you; but be ye perfit in the same wit, and in the same kunnyng.
Proszę więc was, bracia, przez imię naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa, żebyście wszyscy to samo mówili i żeby nie było wśród was rozłamów, ale abyście byli zespoleni jednakowym umysłem i jednakowym zdaniem.
11 For, my britheren, it is teld to me of hem that ben at Cloes, that stryues ben among you.
Doniesiono mi bowiem o was, moi bracia, przez [domowników] Chloe, że są wśród was spory.
12 And Y seie that, that ech of you seith, For Y am of Poul, and Y am of Apollo, and Y am of Cefas, but Y am of Crist.
Mówię to dlatego, że każdy z was twierdzi: Ja jestem Pawła, ja Apollosa, ja Kefasa, a ja Chrystusa.
13 Whether Crist is departid? whether Poul was crucified for you, ether ye ben baptisid in the name of Poul?
Czy Chrystus jest podzielony? Czy Paweł został za was ukrzyżowany? Czy w imię Pawła zostaliście ochrzczeni?
14 Y do thankyngis to my God, that Y baptiside noon of you, but Crispus and Gayus;
Dziękuję Bogu, że oprócz Kryspusa i Gajusa nikogo z was nie ochrzciłem;
15 lest ony man seie, that ye ben baptisid in my name.
Aby nikt nie powiedział, że chrzciłem w swoje imię.
16 And Y baptiside also the hous of Stephan, but Y woot not, that Y baptiside ony other.
Ochrzciłem też dom Stefanasa. Poza tym nie wiem, czy ochrzciłem jeszcze kogoś.
17 For Crist sente me not to baptise, but to preche the gospel; not in wisdom of word, that the cros of Crist be not voidid awei.
Bo Chrystus nie posłał mnie, abym chrzcił, ale abym głosił ewangelię, [i to] nie w mądrości słowa, aby nie zniweczyć krzyża Chrystusa.
18 For the word of the cros is foli to hem that perischen; but to hem that ben maad saaf, that is to seie, to vs, it is the vertu of God.
Mowa o krzyżu bowiem jest głupstwem dla tych, którzy giną, ale dla nas, którzy jesteśmy zbawieni, jest mocą Boga.
19 For it is writun, Y schal distruye the wisdom of wise men, and Y schal reproue the prudence of prudent men.
Bo jest napisane: Wytracę mądrość mądrych, a rozum rozumnych obrócę wniwecz.
20 Where is the wise man? where is the wise lawiere? where is the purchasour of this world? Whether God hath not maad the wisdom of this world fonned? (aiōn g165)
Gdzie [jest] mądry? Gdzie uczony w Piśmie? Gdzie badacz tego świata? Czyż Bóg nie obrócił w głupstwo mądrości tego świata? (aiōn g165)
21 For the world in wisdom of God knewe not God bi wisdom, it pleside to God, bi foli of prechyng, `to maken hem saaf that bileueden.
Skoro bowiem w mądrości Bożej świat nie poznał Boga przez mądrość, upodobało się Bogu przez głupstwo głoszenia zbawić tych, którzy wierzą.
22 For Jewis seken signes, and Grekis seken wisdom;
Gdyż Żydzi domagają się znaków, a Grecy szukają mądrości.
23 but we prechen Crist crucified, to Jewis sclaundre, and to hethene men foli;
My zaś głosimy Chrystusa ukrzyżowanego, [który] dla Żydów wprawdzie [jest] zgorszeniem, a dla Greków głupstwem;
24 but to tho Jewis and Grekis that ben clepid, we prechen Crist the vertu of God and the wisdom of God.
Lecz dla tych, którzy są powołani, zarówno dla Żydów, jak i Greków, [głosimy] Chrystusa – moc Bożą i mądrość Bożą.
25 For that that is foli thing of God, is wiser than men; and that that is the feble thing of God, is strengere than men.
Głupstwo Boże bowiem jest mądrzejsze niż ludzie, a słabość Boża jest mocniejsza niż ludzie.
26 But, britheren, se ye youre clepyng; for not many wise men aftir the fleisch, not many myyti, not many noble.
Przypatrzcie się bowiem, bracia, waszemu powołaniu, że niewielu [jest] mądrych według ciała, niewielu możnych, niewielu szlachetnie urodzonych.
27 But God chees tho thingis that ben fonned of the world, to confounde wise men;
Ale Bóg wybrał to, co głupie u świata, aby zawstydzić mądrych, wybrał to, co słabe u świata, aby zawstydzić mocnych.
28 and God chees the feble thingis of the world, to confounde the stronge thingis; and God chees the vnnoble thingis `and dispisable thingis of the world, and tho thingis that ben not, to distruye tho thingis that ben;
I [to, co] nieszlachetne u świata i wzgardzone, wybrał Bóg, a nawet to, co nie jest, aby to, co jest, obrócić wniwecz;
29 that ech man haue not glorie in his siyt.
Aby nie chlubiło się przed nim żadne ciało.
30 But of hym ye ben in Crist Jhesu, which is maad of God to vs wisdom, and riytwisnesse, and holynesse, and ayenbiyng; that,
Lecz wy z niego jesteście w Chrystusie Jezusie, który stał się dla nas mądrością od Boga i sprawiedliwością, i uświęceniem, i odkupieniem;
31 as it is wrytun, He that glorieth, haue glorie in the Lord.
Aby, jak to jest napisane: Ten, kto się chlubi, [niech się] chlubi w Panu.
