1 Corinthians 1
1 Poul, clepid apostle of Jhesu Crist, bi the wille of God, and Sostenes, brothir, to the chirche of God that is at Corynthe,
ᏉᎳ, ᎠᏆᏑᏰᏛ ᎠᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏓᏅᏖᎸᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏐᏍᏗᏂ ᎢᎩᏅᏟ,
2 to hem that ben halewid in Crist Jhesu, and clepid seyntis, with alle that inwardli clepen the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, in ech place of hem and of oure,
ᏫᏨᏲᏪᎳᏏ ᏗᏣᏁᎶᏗ ᎢᏣᏓᏡᎬ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵᎦ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎪᎵᏂᏗᏱ ᏥᏣᏓᏡᎦ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏥᏍᎦᎾ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎢᏰᏨᏁᎸᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᏳᏩᏂᏌᏛ, ᎡᏥᏯᏅᏛ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏘ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏂᎥ ᏂᎦᎥ ᏕᎨᏌᏗᏒ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏚᏙᎥ ᎠᏂᏁᎢᏍᏗᏍᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏧᎳᏉ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎦ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏴ ᎢᎦᏤᎵᎦ;
3 grace to you and pees of God, oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
ᎢᏣᏤᎵ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏯ ᎤᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᏅᏩᏙᎯᏯᏛ ᎢᏣᎵᏍᎪᎸᏔᏁᎸᎯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎢᎩᏙᏓ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ.
4 Y do thankyngis to my God eueremore for you, in the grace of God that is youun to you in Crist Jhesu.
ᏂᎪᎯᎸ ᏥᏯᎵᎡᎵᏤᎰ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᏆᏤᎵᎦ, ᏂᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎪ ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏯ ᎤᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᏳᏩᏂᏌᏛ ᎡᏥᏁᎸᎯ ᏥᎩ.
5 For in alle thingis ye ben maad riche in hym, in ech word, and in ech kunnyng,
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏤᏅᎢᏍᏔᏅᎯ ᏥᎩ ᏂᎦᎥ ᏄᏓᎴᏒᎢ — ᏂᎦᎥ ᏗᏕᏲᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎠᏕᏙᎥᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ;
6 as the witnessyng of Crist is confermyd in you;
ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎠᏥᏃᎮᎸ ᎦᎪᎯᏳᏗ ᏁᏨᏁᎸᎢ;
7 so that no thing faile to you in ony grace, that abiden the schewyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist;
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎡᏍᎦ ᏂᏦᎭᏍᎬᎾ ᎨᏒ ᏑᏓᎴᎩ ᎤᏅ ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏯ ᎤᏓᎵᏍᎪᎸᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ; ᎢᏥᎦᏖᏃᎲ ᎤᎷᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ;
8 which also schal conferme you in to the ende with outen cryme, in the dai of the comyng of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏨᏓᏣᎵᏂᎪᎯᏍᏔᏂ ᎤᎵᏍᏆᏗᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎬᏗᏍᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎦᏰᏧᎢᏍᏙᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎾᎯᏳ ᎢᎦ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎤᏤᎵᎦ.
9 `A trewe God, bi whom ye ben clepid in to the felouschipe of his sone Jhesu Crist oure Lord.
ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏄᏓᎵᏓᏍᏛᎾ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏥᏯᏅᏛ ᏥᎩ ᎢᏣᎵᎪᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏪᏥ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ.
10 But, britheren, Y biseche you, bi the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that ye alle seie the same thing, and that dissenciouns be not among you; but be ye perfit in the same wit, and in the same kunnyng.
ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ ᎢᏨᏔᏲᏎᎭ ᏚᏙᎥ ᎬᏗᎭ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎢᎦᏤᎵᎦ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏠᏱᎭ ᎢᏥᏁᎢᏍᏗᏱ, ᎠᎴ ᏗᏣᎦᎴᏅᏗᏍᎩ ᏂᏤᎲᎾ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ; ᎤᎧᎵᏨᎯᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᏗᏣᏚᏙᏙᏗᏱ ᎤᏠᏱᏉ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏖᎵᏙᎲᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏠᏱᏉ ᏕᏧᎪᏗᏍᎬᎢ.
11 For, my britheren, it is teld to me of hem that ben at Cloes, that stryues ben among you.
ᎥᎩᏃᏁᎸᎯᏰᏃ ᎢᎩ ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ ᏂᎯ ᎡᏥᏃᎮᏍᎬᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏠᎢ ᏚᏓᏘᎾᎥ ᎨᏥᏃᎮᏍᎬᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏗᏥᏲᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏤᎲᎢ.
12 And Y seie that, that ech of you seith, For Y am of Poul, and Y am of Apollo, and Y am of Cefas, but Y am of Crist.
ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏂᏥᏪᎭ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏥᏏᏴᏫᎭ ᎨᏒ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏥᏪᏍᎬᎢ, ᎠᏴ ᏉᎳ ᏥᏯᎵᎪᏁᎯ; ᎠᏴᏃ ᎠᏉᎳ; ᎠᏴᏃ ᏏᏆᏏ; ᎠᏴᏃ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ.
13 Whether Crist is departid? whether Poul was crucified for you, ether ye ben baptisid in the name of Poul?
ᎢᎸᏍᎩᏍᎪ ᎢᏯᏥᏛᎯ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ? ᏉᎳᏍᎪ ᏓᏓᎿᎭᏩᏍᏛ ᎠᎦᏛᏁ ᎢᏥᏍᏕᎸᏗᏱ? ᎠᎴᏍᎪ ᏉᎳ ᏚᏙᎥ ᏕᏣᏬᏍᏔᏁᎢ?
14 Y do thankyngis to my God, that Y baptiside noon of you, but Crispus and Gayus;
ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏥᏯᎵᎡᎵᏤᎭ ᏂᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏤᎲ ᎩᎶ ᏂᏥᏯᏬᎥᎾ ᎨᏒ ᏟᏍᏆ ᎠᎴ ᎦᏯ ᎤᏅᏒ;
15 lest ony man seie, that ye ben baptisid in my name.
ᎩᎶᏰᏃ ᎤᏩᏒᏉ ᏚᏙᎥ ᏓᏓᏬᏍᏗᎭ, ᏱᎬᏉᏎᎭ.
16 And Y baptiside also the hous of Stephan, but Y woot not, that Y baptiside ony other.
ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏍᏗᏇᎾ ᏚᏓᏘᎾᎥ ᏕᎦᏥᏯᏬᎥᎩ; ᏅᏩᏓᎴᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏆᏅᏔ ᏥᏯᏬᎥᎢ.
17 For Crist sente me not to baptise, but to preche the gospel; not in wisdom of word, that the cros of Crist be not voidid awei.
ᎦᎶᏁᏛᏰᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏱᎩᏅᏎ ᏗᏆᏓᏬᏍᏗᏱ, ᎠᏆᎵᏥᏙᏗᏱᏍᎩᏂ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ; ᎥᏝ ᎠᎵᏏᎾᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎦᏬᏂᎯᏍᏗᏱ ᎠᏋᏙᏗᏱ, ᎦᎶᏁᏛᏰᏃ ᎤᏤᎵ ᏧᏓᎿᎭᏩᏛ ᎠᏎᏉᏉ ᏱᏅᎦᎵᏍᏓ.
18 For the word of the cros is foli to hem that perischen; but to hem that ben maad saaf, that is to seie, to vs, it is the vertu of God.
ᏓᏓᎿᎭᏩᏍᏛᏰᏃ ᎧᏃᎮᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎵᏍᎦᏁᏛ ᎤᏂᏰᎸᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏧᏂᏲᎱᎯᏍᏗ ᏥᎩ; ᎠᏴᏍᎩᏂ ᎡᎩᏍᏕᎸᏗ ᏥᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᎵᏂᎬᎬ ᎢᎩᏰᎸᎯ.
19 For it is writun, Y schal distruye the wisdom of wise men, and Y schal reproue the prudence of prudent men.
ᎯᎠᏰᏃ ᏂᎬᏅ ᎢᎦᏪᎳ, ᏓᏥᏛᏔᏂ ᎠᏂᏏᎾᏒ ᎠᏂᏏᎾᏌᏂ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏎᏉ ᏅᏓᎦᏥᏴᏁᎵ ᎠᏁᏯᏔᎯ ᎠᏁᏯᏔᎲᎢ.
20 Where is the wise man? where is the wise lawiere? where is the purchasour of this world? Whether God hath not maad the wisdom of this world fonned? (aiōn g165)
ᎭᏢ ᎠᏏᎾᏌᏂ? ᎭᏢ ᏗᎪᏪᎵᏍᎩ? ᎭᏢ ᎦᏬᏂᏍᎬ ᎠᏗᏒᎯᎯ ᎠᏂ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎡᎯ? ᏝᏍᎪ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᎵᏍᎦᏁᏛᏉ ᏱᏄᏩᏁᎸ ᎠᏏᎾᏌᏅ ᎡᎶᎯ? (aiōn g165)
21 For the world in wisdom of God knewe not God bi wisdom, it pleside to God, bi foli of prechyng, `to maken hem saaf that bileueden.
ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏰᏃ ᎠᏏᎾᏌᏂᏳ ᎨᏒ ᏥᏄᏩᏂᏌᏁ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎠᏂᏏᎾᏌᏅ ᎠᏅᏗᏍᎬ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏂᎬᏩᎦᏔᎲᎾ ᏥᎨᏎᎢ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎣᏏ ᎤᏰᎸᏁ ᎠᎵᏍᎦᏁᏛ ᎠᎵᏥᏙᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏮᏙᏗᏱ ᏧᏍᏕᎸᏗᏱ ᎠᏃᎯᏳᎲᏍᎩ.
22 For Jewis seken signes, and Grekis seken wisdom;
ᎠᏂᏧᏏᏰᏃ ᎤᏰᎸᏛ ᎠᏂᏔᏲᎯᎭ, ᎠᏂᎪᎢᏃ ᎠᏏᎾᏌᏂᏳ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏂᏲᎭ;
23 but we prechen Crist crucified, to Jewis sclaundre, and to hethene men foli;
ᎠᏴᏍᎩᏂ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᏓᏓᎿᎭᏩᏍᏛ ᎠᎦᏛᏅᎯ ᎣᏣᎵᏥᏙᎲᏍᎦ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᏧᏃᏕᏍᏗᏍᎩ, ᎠᏂᎪᎢᏃ ᎠᎵᏍᎦᏁᏛ ᎤᏂᏰᎸᎯ;
24 but to tho Jewis and Grekis that ben clepid, we prechen Crist the vertu of God and the wisdom of God.
Ꮎ-ᏍᎩᏂ ᎨᏥᏯᏅᏛ ᏥᎩ, ᎢᏧᎳᏉ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᎪᎢ, ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᎵᏂᎩᏗᏳ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏏᎾᏌᏂᏳ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏂᏰᎸᎯ.
25 For that that is foli thing of God, is wiser than men; and that that is the feble thing of God, is strengere than men.
ᎠᎵᏍᎦᏁᏛᏰᏃ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎤᏟ ᎾᏏᎾᎯ ᎡᏍᎦᏉ ᏴᏫ; ᎠᎴ ᎠᏩᎾᎦᎳ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎤᏟ ᏄᎵᏂᎬᎦ ᎡᏍᎦᏉ ᏴᏫ.
26 But, britheren, se ye youre clepyng; for not many wise men aftir the fleisch, not many myyti, not many noble.
ᎢᏥᎪᏩᏗᎭᏰᏃ, ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ, ᏄᏍᏛ ᎡᏥᏯᏅᎲᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎥᏝ ᏳᏂᏣᏔ ᎠᏂᏏᎾᏌᏂ ᎤᏇᏓᎵ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎥᏝ ᎠᎴ ᏳᏂᏣᏔ ᏧᎾᎵᏂᎩᏛ, ᎥᏝ ᎠᎴ ᏳᏂᏣᏔ ᎨᏥᎸᏉᏗ;
27 But God chees tho thingis that ben fonned of the world, to confounde wise men;
ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᏚᏑᏰᏒ ᎤᎾᎵᏍᎦᏂᏍᏛ ᎨᏥᏰᎸᎯ ᎠᏁ ᎡᎶᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏧᏕᎰᎯᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎾᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏚᏑᏰᏒ ᎠᏂᏩᎾᎦᎳ ᎨᏥᏰᎸᎯ ᎠᏂ ᎡᎶᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏧᏕᎰᎯᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᏧᎾᎵᏂᎩᏛ;
28 and God chees the feble thingis of the world, to confounde the stronge thingis; and God chees the vnnoble thingis `and dispisable thingis of the world, and tho thingis that ben not, to distruye tho thingis that ben;
ᎠᎴ ᎡᏍᎦ ᎤᏃᎭᏛ ᎠᏂ ᎡᎶᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᏅᎵᏌᎵ ᎨᏥᏰᎸᎯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏚᏑᏰᏒ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎾᏁᎲᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏎᏉᏉ ᎢᏳᎾᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏣᏁᎭ;
29 that ech man haue not glorie in his siyt.
ᎾᏍᎩ ᎩᎶ ᎤᏇᏓᎵ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏢᏈᏍᏗᏱ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᎦᏔᎲᎢ.
30 But of hym ye ben in Crist Jhesu, which is maad of God to vs wisdom, and riytwisnesse, and holynesse, and ayenbiyng; that,
ᏂᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏥᎾᏄᎪᏫᏒᎯ ᎢᎩ, ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᏳᏩᏂᏌᏛ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᎦᏙᎥᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎦᏅᎾ ᎢᎬᏁᏗ ᎨᏒ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᎫᏴᏙᏗ ᎨᏒ, ᎠᏴ ᎢᎬᏁᎸᎯ ᏥᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ;
31 as it is wrytun, He that glorieth, haue glorie in the Lord.
ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏥᏂᎬᏅ ᏥᎪᏪᎳ, ᎩᎶ ᎠᏢᏈᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᏱᎰᏩ ᎠᏢᏆᏍᏙᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ.
