1 Corinthians 14
1 Sue ye charite, loue ye spiritual thingis, but more that ye prophecien.
யூயம்’ ப்ரேமாசரணே ப்ரயதத்⁴வம் ஆத்மிகாந் தா³யாநபி விஸே²ஷத ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²கத²நஸாமர்த்²யம்’ ப்ராப்தும்’ சேஷ்டத்⁴வம்’|
2 And he that spekith in tunge, spekith not to men, but to God; for no man herith. But the spirit spekith mysteries.
யோ ஜந: பரபா⁴ஷாம்’ பா⁴ஷதே ஸ மாநுஷாந் ந ஸம்பா⁴ஷதே கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரமேவ யத: கேநாபி கிமபி ந பு³த்⁴யதே ஸ சாத்மநா நிகூ³ட⁴வாக்யாநி கத²யதி;
3 For he that prophecieth, spekith to men to edificacioun, and monestyng, and coumfortyng.
கிந்து யோ ஜந ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²ம்’ கத²யதி ஸ பரேஷாம்’ நிஷ்டா²யை ஹிதோபதே³ஸா²ய ஸாந்த்வநாயை ச பா⁴ஷதே|
4 He that spekith in tunge, edifieth hym silf; but he that prophecieth, edifieth the chirche of God.
பரபா⁴ஷாவாத்³யாத்மந ஏவ நிஷ்டா²ம்’ ஜநயதி கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²வாதீ³ ஸமிதே ர்நிஷ்டா²ம்’ ஜநயதி|
5 And Y wole, that alle ye speke in tungis, but more that ye prophecie. For he that prophecieth, is more than he that spekith in langagis; but perauenture he expoune, that the chirche take edificacioun.
யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ பரபா⁴ஷாபா⁴ஷணம் இச்சா²ம்யஹம்’ கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²கத²நம் அதி⁴கமபீச்சா²மி| யத: ஸமிதே ர்நிஷ்டா²யை யேந ஸ்வவாக்யாநாம் அர்தோ² ந க்ரியதே தஸ்மாத் பரபா⁴ஷாவாதி³த ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²வாதீ³ ஸ்²ரேயாந்|
6 But now, britheren, if Y come to you, and speke in langagis, what schal Y profite to you, but if Y speke to you ethir in reuelacioun, ethir in science, ethir in prophecie, ether in techyng?
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , இதா³நீம்’ மயா யதி³ யுஷ்மத்ஸமீபம்’ க³ம்யதே தர்ஹீஸ்²வரீயத³ர்ஸ²நஸ்ய ஜ்ஞாநஸ்ய வேஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய வா ஸி²க்ஷாயா வா வாக்யாநி ந பா⁴ஷித்வா பரபா⁴ஷாம்’ பா⁴ஷமாணேந மயா யூயம்’ கிமுபகாரிஷ்யத்⁴வே?
7 For tho thingis that ben withouten soule, and yyueth voices, ethir pipe, ether harpe, but tho yyuen distinccioun of sownyngis, hou schal it be knowun that is sungun, ether that that is trumpid?
அபரம்’ வம்’ஸீ²வல்லக்யாதி³ஷு நிஷ்ப்ராணிஷு வாத்³யயந்த்ரேஷு வாதி³தேஷு யதி³ க்கணா ந விஸி²ஷ்யந்தே தர்ஹி கிம்’ வாத்³யம்’ கிம்’ வா கா³நம்’ ப⁴வதி தத் கேந போ³த்³து⁴ம்’ ஸ²க்யதே?
8 For if a trumpe yyue an vncerteyn soune, who schal make hym silf redi to batel?
அபரம்’ ரணதூர்ய்யா நிஸ்வணோ யத்³யவ்யக்தோ ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி யுத்³தா⁴ய க: ஸஜ்ஜிஷ்யதே?
9 So but ye yyuen an opyn word bi tunge, hou schal that that is seid be knowun? For ye schulen be spekynge in veyn.
தத்³வத் ஜிஹ்வாபி⁴ ர்யதி³ ஸுக³ம்யா வாக் யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்ந க³த்³யேத தர்ஹி யத்³ க³த்³யதே தத் கேந போ⁴த்ஸ்யதே? வஸ்துதோ யூயம்’ தி³கா³லாபிந இவ ப⁴விஷ்யத²|
10 There ben many kyndis of langagis in this world, and no thing is with outen vois.
ஜக³தி கதிப்ரகாரா உக்தயோ வித்³யந்தே? தாஸாமேகாபி நிரர்தி²கா நஹி;
11 But if Y knowe not the vertu of a vois, Y schal be to hym, to whom Y schal speke, a barbarik; and he that spekith to me, schal be a barbarik.
கிந்தூக்தேரர்தோ² யதி³ மயா ந பு³த்⁴யதே தர்ஹ்யஹம்’ வக்த்ரா ம்லேச்ச² இவ மம்’ஸ்யே வக்தாபி மயா ம்லேச்ச² இவ மம்’ஸ்யதே|
12 So ye, for ye ben loueris of spiritis, seke ye that ye be plenteuouse to edificacioun of the chirche.
தஸ்மாத்³ ஆத்மிகதா³யலிப்ஸவோ யூயம்’ ஸமிதே ர்நிஷ்டா²ர்த²ம்’ ப்ராப்தப³ஹுவரா ப⁴விதும்’ யதத்⁴வம்’,
13 And therfor he that spekith in langage, preie, that he expowne.
அதஏவ பரபா⁴ஷாவாதீ³ யத்³ அர்த²கரோ(அ)பி ப⁴வேத் தத் ப்ரார்த²யதாம்’|
14 For if Y preye in tunge, my spirit preieth; myn vndurstondyng is with outen fruyt.
யத்³யஹம்’ பரபா⁴ஷயா ப்ரர்த²நாம்’ குர்ய்யாம்’ தர்ஹி மதீ³ய ஆத்மா ப்ரார்த²யதே, கிந்து மம பு³த்³தி⁴ ர்நிஷ்ப²லா திஷ்ட²தி|
15 What thanne? Y schal preye in spirit, Y schal preye in mynde; Y schal seie salm, in spirit, Y schal seie salm also in mynde.
இத்யநேந கிம்’ கரணீயம்’? அஹம் ஆத்மநா ப்ரார்த²யிஷ்யே பு³த்³த்⁴யாபி ப்ரார்த²யிஷ்யே; அபரம்’ ஆத்மநா கா³ஸ்யாமி பு³த்³த்⁴யாபி கா³ஸ்யாமி|
16 For if thou blessist in spirit, who fillith the place of an ydiot, hou schal he seie Amen on thi blessyng, for he woot not, what thou seist?
த்வம்’ யதா³த்மநா த⁴ந்யவாத³ம்’ கரோஷி ததா³ யத்³ வத³ஸி தத்³ யதி³ ஸி²ஷ்யேநேவோபஸ்தி²தேந ஜநேந ந பு³த்³த்⁴யதே தர்ஹி தவ த⁴ந்யவாத³ஸ்யாந்தே ததா²ஸ்த்விதி தேந வக்தம்’ கத²ம்’ ஸ²க்யதே?
17 For thou doist wel thankyngis, but an othir man is not edefied.
த்வம்’ ஸம்யக்³ ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வத³ஸீதி ஸத்யம்’ ததா²பி தத்ர பரஸ்ய நிஷ்டா² ந ப⁴வதி|
18 Y thanke my God, for Y speke in the langage of alle you;
யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸர்வ்வேப்⁴யோ(அ)ஹம்’ பரபா⁴ஷாபா⁴ஷணே ஸமர்தோ²(அ)ஸ்மீதி காரணாத்³ ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி;
19 but in the chirche Y wole speke fyue wordis in my wit, that also Y teche othere men, than ten thousynde of wordis in tunge.
ததா²பி ஸமிதௌ பரோபதே³ஸா²ர்த²ம்’ மயா கதி²தாநி பஞ்ச வாக்யாநி வரம்’ ந ச லக்ஷம்’ பரபா⁴ஷீயாநி வாக்யாநி|
20 Britheren, nyle ye be maad children in wittis, but in malice be ye children; but in wittis be ye parfit.
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: ,யூயம்’ பு³த்³த்⁴யா பா³லகாஇவ மா பூ⁴த பரந்து து³ஷ்டதயா ஸி²ஸ²வஇவ பூ⁴த்வா பு³த்³த்⁴யா ஸித்³தா⁴ ப⁴வத|
21 For in the lawe it is writun, That in othere tungis and othere lippis Y schal speke to this puple, and nether so thei schulen here me, seith the Lord.
ஸா²ஸ்த்ர இத³ம்’ லிகி²தமாஸ்தே, யதா², இத்யவோசத் பரேஸோ²(அ)ஹம் ஆபா⁴ஷிஷ்ய இமாந் ஜநாந்| பா⁴ஷாபி⁴: பரகீயாபி⁴ ர்வக்த்ரைஸ்²ச பரதே³ஸி²பி⁴: | ததா² மயா க்ரு’தே(அ)பீமே ந க்³ரஹீஷ்யந்தி மத்³வச: ||
22 Therfor langagis ben in to tokene, not to feithful men, but to men out of the feith; but prophecies ben not to men out of the feith, but to feithful men.
அதஏவ தத் பரபா⁴ஷாபா⁴ஷணம்’ அவிஸ்²சாஸிந: ப்ரதி சிஹ்நரூபம்’ ப⁴வதி ந ச விஸ்²வாஸிந: ப்ரதி; கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²கத²நம்’ நாவிஸ்²வாஸிந: ப்ரதி தத்³ விஸ்²வாஸிந: ப்ரத்யேவ|
23 Therfor if alle the chirche come togidere in to oon, and alle men speken in tungis, if idiotis, ether men out of the feith, entren, whether thei schulen not seie, What ben ye woode?
ஸமிதிபு⁴க்தேஷு ஸர்வ்வேஷு ஏகஸ்மிந் ஸ்தா²நே மிலித்வா பரபா⁴ஷாம்’ பா⁴ஷமாணேஷு யதி³ ஜ்ஞாநாகாங்க்ஷிணோ(அ)விஸ்²வாஸிநோ வா தத்ராக³ச்சே²யுஸ்தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாந் உந்மத்தாந் கிம்’ ந வதி³ஷ்யந்தி?
24 But if alle men prophecien, if ony vnfeithful man or idiot entre, he is conuyct of alle, he is wiseli demyd of alle.
கிந்து ஸர்வ்வேஷ்வீஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²ம்’ ப்ரகாஸ²யத்ஸு யத்³யவிஸ்²வாஸீ ஜ்ஞாநாகாங்க்ஷீ வா கஸ்²சித் தத்ராக³ச்ச²தி தர்ஹி ஸர்வ்வைரேவ தஸ்ய பாபஜ்ஞாநம்’ பரீக்ஷா ச ஜாயதே,
25 For the hid thingis of his herte ben knowun, and so he schal falle doun on the face, and schal worschipe God, and schewe verili that God is in you.
ததஸ்தஸ்யாந்த: கரணஸ்ய கு³ப்தகல்பநாஸு வ்யக்தீபூ⁴தாஸு ஸோ(அ)தோ⁴முக²: பதந் ஈஸ்²வரமாராத்⁴ய யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴ய ஈஸ்²வரோ வித்³யதே இதி ஸத்யம்’ கதா²மேதாம்’ கத²யிஷ்யதி|
26 What thanne, britheren? Whanne ye comen togidere, ech of you hath a salm, he hath techyng, he hath apocalips, he hath tunge, he hath expownyng; alle thingis be thei don to edificacioun.
ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , ஸம்மிலிதாநாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம் ஏகேந கீ³தம் அந்யேநோபதே³ஸோ²(அ)ந்யேந பரபா⁴ஷாந்யேந ஐஸ்²வரிகத³ர்ஸ²நம் அந்யேநார்த²போ³த⁴கம்’ வாக்யம்’ லப்⁴யதே கிமேதத்? ஸர்வ்வமேவ பரநிஷ்டா²ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴: க்ரியதாம்’|
27 Whether a man spekith in tunge, bi twei men, ethir thre at the moste, and bi partis, that oon interprete.
யதி³ கஸ்²சித்³ பா⁴ஷாந்தரம்’ விவக்ஷதி தர்ஹ்யேகஸ்மிந் தி³நே த்³விஜநேந த்ரிஜநேந வா பரபா⁴ஷா கத்²யதாம்’ தத³தி⁴கைர்ந கத்²யதாம்’ தைரபி பர்ய்யாயாநுஸாராத் கத்²யதாம்’, ஏகேந ச தத³ர்தோ² போ³த்⁴யதாம்’|
28 But if there be not an interpretour, be he stille in the chirche, and speke he to hym silf and to God.
கிந்த்வர்தா²பி⁴தா⁴யக: கோ(அ)பி யதி³ ந வித்³யதே தர்ஹி ஸ ஸமிதௌ வாசம்’யம: ஸ்தி²த்வேஸ்²வராயாத்மநே ச கதா²ம்’ கத²யது|
29 Prophetis tweine or thre seie, and othere wiseli deme.
அபரம்’ த்³வௌ த்ரயோ வேஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²வக்தார: ஸ்வம்’ ஸ்வமாதே³ஸ²ம்’ கத²யந்து தத³ந்யே ச தம்’ விசாரயந்து|
30 But if ony thing be schewid to a sittere, the formere be stille.
கிந்து தத்ராபரேண கேநசித் ஜநேநேஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸே² லப்³தே⁴ ப்ரத²மேந கத²நாத் நிவர்த்திதவ்யம்’|
31 For ye moun `prophecie alle, ech bi hym silf, that alle men lerne, and alle moneste.
ஸர்வ்வே யத் ஸி²க்ஷாம்’ ஸாந்த்வநாஞ்ச லப⁴ந்தே தத³ர்த²ம்’ யூயம்’ ஸர்வ்வே பர்ய்யாயேணேஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²ம்’ கத²யிதும்’ ஸ²க்நுத²|
32 And the spiritis of prophetis ben suget to prophetis;
ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²வக்த்ரு’ணாம்’ மநாம்’ஸி தேஷாம் அதீ⁴நாநி ப⁴வந்தி|
33 for whi God is not of discencioun, but of pees; as in alle chirchis of hooli men `Y teche.
யத ஈஸ்²வர: குஸா²ஸநஜநகோ நஹி ஸுஸா²ஸநஜநக ஏவேதி பவித்ரலோகாநாம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸமிதிஷு ப்ரகாஸ²தே|
34 Wymmen in chirchis be stille; for it is not suffrid to hem to speke, but to be suget, as the lawe seith.
அபரஞ்ச யுஷ்மாகம்’ வநிதா: ஸமிதிஷு தூஷ்ணீம்பூ⁴தாஸ்திஷ்ட²ந்து யத: ஸா²ஸ்த்ரலிகி²தேந விதி⁴நா தா: கதா²ப்ரசாரணாத் நிவாரிதாஸ்தாபி⁴ ர்நிக்⁴ராபி⁴ ர்ப⁴விதவ்யம்’|
35 But if thei wolen ony thing lerne, `at home axe thei her hosebondis; for it is foule thing to a womman to speke in chirche.
அதஸ்தா யதி³ கிமபி ஜிஜ்ஞாஸந்தே தர்ஹி கே³ஹேஷு பதீந் ப்ரு’ச்ச²ந்து யத: ஸமிதிமத்⁴யே யோஷிதாம்’ கதா²கத²நம்’ நிந்த³நீயம்’|
36 Whether `of you the word of God cam forth, or to you aloone it cam?
ஐஸ்²வரம்’ வச: கிம்’ யுஷ்மத்தோ நிரக³மத? கேவலம்’ யுஷ்மாந் வா தத் கிம் உபாக³தம்’?
37 If ony man is seyn to be a prophete, or spiritual, knowe he tho thingis that Y write to you, for tho ben the comaundementis of the Lord.
ய: கஸ்²சித்³ ஆத்மாநம் ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²வக்தாரம் ஆத்மநாவிஷ்டம்’ வா மந்யதே ஸ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி மயா யத்³ யத் லிக்²யதே தத்ப்ரபு⁴நாஜ்ஞாபிதம் ஈத்யுரரீ கரோது|
38 And if ony man vnknowith, he schal be vnknowun.
கிந்து ய: கஸ்²சித் அஜ்ஞோ ப⁴வதி ஸோ(அ)ஜ்ஞ ஏவ திஷ்ட²து|
39 `Therfor, britheren, loue ye to prophecie, and nyle ye forbede to speke in tungis.
அதஏவ ஹே ப்⁴ராதர: , யூயம் ஈஸ்²வரீயாதே³ஸ²கத²நஸாமர்த்²யம்’ லப்³து⁴ம்’ யதத்⁴வம்’ பரபா⁴ஷாபா⁴ஷணமபி யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்ந நிவார்ய்யதாம்’|
40 But be alle thingis don onestli, and bi due ordre in you.
ஸர்வ்வகர்ம்மாணி ச வித்⁴யநுஸாரத: ஸுபரிபாட்யா க்ரியந்தாம்’|
