1 Corinthians 10
1 Britheren, Y nyle, that ye vnknowe, that alle oure fadris weren vndur cloude, and alle passiden the see;
Kangithandi-ke ukuthi lingazi, bazalwane, ukuthi bonke obaba bethu babengaphansi kweyezi, njalo bonke badabula ulwandle,
2 and alle weren baptisid in Moises, in the cloude and in the see;
futhi bonke babhabhathizwa kuMozisi eyezini lasolwandle,
3 and alle eeten the same spiritual mete,
labo bonke badla ukudla kunye komoya,
4 and alle drunken the same spiritual drynke; thei drunken of the spiritual stoon folewynge hem; and the stoon was Crist.
futhi bonke banatha okunathwayo kunye komoya; ngoba banatha edwaleni lomoya elabalandelayo; lalelodwala lalinguKristu.
5 But not in ful manye of hem it was wel pleasaunt to God; for whi thei weren cast doun in desert.
Kodwa ubunengi babo uNkulunkulu wayengathokozi ngabo; ngoba bachithwa enkangala.
6 But these thingis ben don in figure of vs, that we be not coueyteris of yuele thingis, as thei coueitiden.
Lalezizinto zaba yizibonelo kithi, ukuze singaloyisi okubi, njengalokhu labo baloyisa.
7 Nether be ye maad idolatreris, as summe of hem; as it is writun, The puple sat to ete and drynke, and thei risen vp to pleie.
Njalo lingabi ngabakhonza izithombe, njengabanye babo; njengokulotshiweyo ukuthi: Abantu bahlala phansi ukudla lokunatha, basebesukuma ukudlala.
8 Nether do we fornycacioun, as summe of hem diden fornicacioun, and thre and twenti thousyndis weren deed in o dai.
Njalo kasingaphingi, njengabanye babo abaphingayo, basebesiwa ngasuku lunye inkulungwane ezingamatshumi amabili lantathu.
9 Nethir tempte we Crist, as summe of hem temptiden, and perischiden of serpentis.
Njalo asingamlingi uKristu, njengabanye babo futhi bamlinga, basebebhujiswa zinyoka.
10 Nether grutche ye, as summe of hem grutchiden, and thei perischiden of a distrier.
Lingasoli-ke, njengabanye babo labo basola, babhujiswa ngumbhubhisi.
11 And alle these thingis felliden to hem in figure; but thei ben writun to oure amendyng, in to whiche the endis of the worldis ben comun. (aiōn g165)
Lalezizinto zonke zabehlela labo kube yizibonelo, njalo zabhalelwa ukuba yisixwayiso sethu, osekufike ukucina kwezikhathi. (aiōn g165)
12 Therfor he that gessith hym, `that he stondith, se he, that he falle not.
Ngakho lowo ocabanga ukuthi umi, kabone ukuthi kawi.
13 Temptacioun take `not you, but mannus temptacioun; for God is trewe, which schal not suffre you to be temptid aboue that that ye moun; but he schal make with temptacioun also purueyaunce, that ye moun suffre.
Kakulakulingwa okulibambileyo ngaphandle kokusebantwini; kodwa uNkulunkulu uthembekile, ongayikuvuma ukuthi lilingwe ngokungaphezu kwamandla enu, kanti kanye lesilingo uzakwenza lendlela yokuphepha, ukuze libe lamandla okusithwala.
14 Wherfor, ye most dereworthe to me, fle ye fro worschiping of maumetis.
Ngakho-ke, bathandiweyo bami, balekelani ukukhonza izithombe.
15 As to prudent men Y speke, deme ye you silf that thing that Y seie.
Ngikhuluma njengakwabahlakaniphileyo; lina yehlukanisani engikutshoyo.
16 Whether the cuppe of blessyng which we blessen, is not the comynyng of Cristis blood? and whether the breed which we breken, is not the takyng of the bodi of the Lord?
Inkezo yesibusiso esiyibusisayo, kayisiyo yini eyokuhlanganyela kwegazi likaKristu? Isinkwa esisihlephunayo, kayisiso yini esokuhlanganyela komzimba kaKristu?
17 For we manye ben o breed and o bodi, alle we that taken part of o breed and of o cuppe.
Ngoba thina abanengi siyisinkwa sinye, simzimba munye; ngoba thina sonke sihlanganyela lesosinkwa sinye.
18 Se ye Israel aftir the fleisch, whethir thei that eeten sacrifices, ben not partyneris of the auter?
Khangelani uIsrayeli ngokwenyama; abadlayo imihlatshelo kabasibo yini abahlanganyela lelathi?
19 What therfor seie Y, that a thing that is offrid to idols is ony thing, or that the idol is ony thing?
Ngithini pho? Ukuthi isithombe siyilutho yini? Kumbe ukuthi okuhlatshelwe izithombe kuyilutho?
20 But tho thingis that hethene men offren, thei offren to deuelis, and not to God. But Y nyle, that ye ben maad felowis of feendis; for ye moun not drynke the cuppe of the Lord, and the cuppe of fendis;
Kodwa ukuthi izinto abezizwe abazihlabayo, bazihlabela amadimoni, njalo kungeyisikho kuNkulunkulu; kodwa kangithandi ukuthi libe lenhlanganyelo lamadimoni.
21 ye moun not be parteneris of the boord of the Lord, and of the bord of feendis.
Lingenathe inkezo yeNkosi lenkezo yamadimoni; lingehlanganyele itafula leNkosi letafula lamadimoni.
22 Whether we han enuye to the Lord? whether we ben strengere then he? Alle thingis ben leeueful to me, but not alle thingis ben spedeful.
Kumbe sizayivusela ubukhwele iNkosi? Kambe silamandla kulayo?
23 Alle thingis ben leeueful to me, but not alle thingis edifien.
Zonke izinto zivunyelwe kimi, kodwa kayisizo zonke izinto ezisizayo. Zonke izinto zivunyelwe kimi, kodwa kayisizo zonke izinto ezakhayo.
24 No man seke that thing that is his owne, but that thing that is of an othere.
Kakungabi khona ozidingela okwakhe, kodwa ngulowo lalowo okomunye.
25 Al thing that is seld in the bocherie, ete ye, axynge no thing for conscience.
Konke okuthengiswa esilaheni kudleni, lingabuzi lutho ngenxa yesazela;
26 The erthe and the plente of it is, the Lordis.
ngoba umhlaba ungoweNkosi lokugcwala kwawo.
27 If ony of hethene men clepith you to soper, and ye wole go, al thing that is set to you, ete ye, axynge no thing for conscience.
Njalo uba omunye kwabangakholwayo elinxusa, njalo lithanda ukuya, dlanini konke okubekwa phambi kwenu, lingabuzi lutho ngenxa yesazela.
28 But if ony man seith, This thing is offrid to idols, nyle ye ete, for hym that schewide, and for conscience; and Y seie not,
Kodwa uba umuntu esithi kini: Lokhu kuhlatshelwe isithombe; lingadli ngenxa yalowo olitshelileyo, langenxa yesazela; ngoba umhlaba ungoweNkosi lokugcwala kwawo.
29 thi conscience, but of an othere. But wherto is my fredom demed of an othere mannus conscience?
Kodwa isazela ngithi, esingeyisiso esakho, kodwa esomunye; ngoba kungani inkululeko yami yahlulelwe yisazela somunye?
30 Therfor if Y take part with grace, what am Y blasfemed, for that that Y do thankyngis?
Njalo uba mina ngomusa ngihlanganyela, ngikhulunyelwani kubi ngalokho mina engikubongayo?
31 Therfor whether ye eten, or drynken, or don ony other thing, do ye alle thingis `in to the glorie of God.
Ngakho uba lisidla, loba linatha, loba lisenzani, konke kwenzeleni udumo lukaNkulunkulu.
32 Be ye with outen sclaundre to Jewis, and to hethene men, and to the chirche of God;
Lingabi ngabakhubekisi lakumaJuda lakumaGriki lebandleni likaNkulunkulu;
33 as Y bi alle thingis plese to alle men, not sekynge that that is profitable to me, but that that is profitable to manye men, that thei be maad saaf.
njengami futhi ezintweni zonke ngithokozisa bonke, ngingadingi olwami usizo, kodwa olwabanengi, ukuze basindiswe.
