1 Chronicles 28
1 Therfor Dauid clepide togidere alle the princes of Israel, the duykis of lynagis, and the souereyns of cumpenyes, that `mynystriden to the kyng, also the tribunes, and centuriouns, and hem that weren souereyns ouer the catel and possessiouns of the kyng, and hise sones, with `nurchis, and techeris, and alle the myyti and strongeste men in the oost of Jerusalem.
Pea naʻe fakataha ʻe Tevita, ki Selūsalema, ʻae houʻeiki kotoa pē ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻae houʻeiki ʻoe ngaahi faʻahinga, mo e ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe ngaahi kaungangāue ʻaia naʻe tauhi ki he tuʻi ʻi honau lakanga, mo e ngaahi ʻeiki naʻe pule ki he ngaahi toko afe, mo e ngaahi ʻeiki naʻe pule ki he ngaahi toko teau, mo e kau tauhi koloa kotoa pē naʻe pule ki he koloa mo e fanga manu ʻae tuʻi, mo ia naʻe ʻi hono ngaahi foha, mo e kau matāpule, mo e kau tangata mālohi lahi, pea mo e kau tangata toʻa kotoa pē.
2 And whanne the kyng hadde rise, and `hadde stonde, he seide, My britheren and my puple, here ye me. Y thouyte for to bilde an hows, wherynne the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, and the stool of the feet of oure God schulde reste; and Y made redi alle thingis to bilde.
Pea naʻe toki tuʻu hake ʻa Tevita ko e tuʻi ki hono vaʻe, ʻo ne pehē, “ʻE hoku kāinga, mo hoku kakai, fanongo mai kiate au: naʻaku tokanga ʻi hoku loto ke langa ha fale ko e mālōlōʻanga ki he puha ʻoe fuakava ʻa Sihova, pea ko e potu ke tuʻu ai ʻae vaʻe ʻo hotau ʻOtua, pea naʻaku fai ʻae tokonaki maʻae langa fale:
3 But God seide to me, Thou schalt not bilde an hows to my name, for thou art a man werriour, and hast sched blood.
Ka naʻe pehē mai ʻe he ʻOtua kiate au, ʻE ʻikai te ke langa ʻe koe ha fale ki hoku huafa, koeʻuhi ko e tangata faʻa tau koe, pea kuo ke lilingi ʻae toto.
4 But the Lord God of Israel chees me of al the hows of my fadir, that Y schulde be kyng on Israel with outen ende; for of Juda he chees princes, sotheli of the hows of Juda he chees the hows of my fadir, and of the sones of my fadir it pleside hym to chese me kyng on al Israel.
Ka naʻe fili muʻa au ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli mei he fale kotoa pē ʻo ʻeku tamai ke u hoko ko e tuʻi ki ʻIsileli ʻo taʻengata: he kuo ne fili ʻa Siuta ke pule; pea mei he fale ʻo Siuta, ko e fale ʻo ʻeku tamai ʻaʻaku; pea mei he ngaahi foha ʻo ʻeku tamai naʻa ne finangalo lelei kiate au ke u hoko ko e tuʻi ki ʻIsileli kātoa:
5 But also of my sones, for the Lord yaf to me many sones, he chees Salomon, my sone, that he schulde sitte in the troone of the rewme of the Lord on Israel.
Pea ʻi hoku ngaahi foha kotoa pē, (he kuo foaki ʻe Sihova ʻae ngaahi foha tokolahi kiate au, ) kuo ne fili ʻa Solomone ko hoku foha, ke nofo ki he nofoʻa fakatuʻi ʻoe puleʻanga ʻo Sihova ke puleʻi ʻa ʻIsileli.
6 And he seide to me, Salomon, thi sone, schal bilde myn hows, and myn auters; for Y haue chose hym to me in to a sone, and Y schal be to hym in to a fadir;
Pea naʻa ne pehē kiate au, ‘Ko Solomone ko ho foha, ko ia ia ʻe langa ʻa hoku fale, mo hoku ngaahi lotoʻā: he kuo u fili ia ke hoko ko hoku foha, pea te u hoko au ko ʻene tamai.
7 and Y schal make stidefast his rewme til in to with outen ende, if he schal contynue to do myn heestis and domes, as and to dai.
Pea te u fokotuʻumaʻu foki ʻa hono puleʻanga ke taʻengata, ʻo kapau te ne mālohi ke fai ʻa ʻeku ngaahi fekau mo ʻeku ngaahi fakamaau, ʻo hangē ko ia ʻoku fai he ʻaho ni.’
8 Now therfor bifor al the cumpeny of Israel, `Y seie these thingis that suen in the heryng of God, kepe ye and seke ye alle the comaundementis of `youre Lord God, that ye haue in possessioun a good lond, and that ye leeue it to youre sones aftir you til in to with outen ende.
Ko ia foki, mou tauhi mo kumi ki he ngaahi fekau kotoa pē ʻa Sihova ko homou ʻOtua, ʻi he ʻao ʻo ʻIsileli kātoa ko e fakataha kia Sihova, pea ʻi he ʻafio ki ai ʻahotau ʻOtua: koeʻuhi ke mou maʻu ʻae fonua lelei ni, pea tuku fakaholo ia ko e tofiʻa ki hoʻomou fānau ki mui ʻiate kimoutolu ʻo taʻengata.”
9 But thou, Salomon, my sone, knowe the God of thi fadir, and serue thou hym with perfit herte, and wilful soule; for the Lord serchith alle hertis, and vndirstondith alle thouytis of soulis; if thou sekist hym, thou schalt fynde hym; forsothe if thou forsakist hym, he schal caste thee awei with outen ende.
Pea ko koe, “ʻE Solomone ko hoku foha, ke ke ʻilo ʻe koe ki he ʻOtua ʻo hoʻo tamai, pea ke tauhi kiate ia ʻaki ho loto kātoa, pea ʻi he loto fie fai: he ʻoku hakule ʻe Sihova ʻae loto kotoa pē, pea ʻoku ne ʻiloʻi ʻae filioʻi mo e fakakaukau kotoa pē: kapau te ke kumi kiate ia, te ke ʻilo ia ʻe koe; pea kapau te ke liʻaki ia, te ne liʻaki koe ʻo lauikuonga.
10 Now therfor, for the Lord chees thee, for to bilde the hows of seyntuarie, be thou coumfortid, and parforme.
Pea ke tokanga eni; he kuo fili koe ʻe Sihova ke ke langa ha fale maʻae faletapu ke ke mālohi koe, pea ke ngāue.”
11 Forsothe Dauid yaf to Salomon, his sone, the discryuyng, `ether ensaumple, of the porche, and of the temple, and of celeris, and of the soler, and of closetis in pryuy places, and of the hows of propiciacioun, `that is, of mersi;
Pea naʻe toki ʻange ʻe Tevita kia Solomone ko hono foha ʻae fakatātā ki he fale hūʻanga fakamalumalu, pea mo hono ngaahi potu fale ʻo ia, pea ko e ngaahi potu tukungakoloa ʻi ai, pea mo hono ngaahi potu fale ki ʻolunga, mo hono ngaahi potu fale ki loto, pea mo e potu maʻae ʻafioʻanga ʻoe ʻaloʻofa,
12 also and of alle thingis whiche he thouyte of the large places, and of chaumbris bi cumpas, in to the tresours of the hows of the Lord, and `in to the tresours of holi thingis,
Pea mo e fakatātā ʻoe meʻa kotoa pē naʻe ʻilo ʻe ia mei he laumālie, ʻi he ngaahi lotoʻā ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova, pea mo e ngaahi potuʻi fale kotoa pē naʻe tuʻu takatakai, mo e ngaahi potu tukunga koloa ʻoe fale ʻoe ʻOtua, pea mo e ngaahi tukunga koloa ʻoe ngaahi meʻa naʻe fakatapui:
13 and of the departyngis of preestis and of dekenes, in to alle the werkis of the hows of the Lord, and alle vessels of the seruyce of the temple of the Lord.
Pea ko e ngaahi lakanga foki ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai, pea mo e ngāue kotoa pē ʻoe tauhi ʻi he fale ʻo Sihova, pea koeʻuhi ko e ngaahi nāunau ʻoe ngāue ʻi he fale ʻo Sihova:
14 Of gold in weiyte bi ech vessel of the seruyce, and of siluer, for dyuersitee of vessels, and of werkis;
Ko e koula naʻe fakamamafa ki he meʻa koula, maʻae ngaahi nāunau ki he ngāue kehekehe kotoa pē: mo e siliva naʻe fakamamafa ki he ngaahi meʻa siliva ki he ngāue kehekehe kotoa pē:
15 but also to goldun candilstikis, and to her lanternes, he yaf gold, for the mesure of ech candilstike and lanternes; also and in silueren candilstikis, and in her lanternes, he bitook the weiyte of siluer, for the dyuersite of mesure.
ʻIo, ʻae mamafa ʻoe koula maʻae ngaahi tuʻungamaama, pea maʻae ngaahi ʻaiʻanga lolo koula, ko e fakamamafa maʻae tuʻungamaama taki taha, pea maʻa hono ngaahi ʻaiʻanga lolo: pea naʻe fakamamafa ʻae siliva maʻae ngaahi tuʻungamaama siliva, ki he tuʻungamaama mo hono ngaahi ʻaiʻanga lolo, ʻo fakatatau ki he anga ʻoe tuʻungamaama taki taha.
16 Also and he yaf gold in to the bord of settyng forth, for the dyuersite of mesure, also and he yaf siluer in to othere siluerne boordis;
Pea naʻa ne fakamamafa ʻae koula maʻae ngaahi palepale ʻoe mā ʻoe ʻao, ki he palepale taki taha; pea mo e siliva ki he ngaahi palepale siliva:
17 also to fleisch hookis, and viols, and censeris of pureste gold; and to litle goldun lyouns, for the maner of mesure, he departide a weiyte in to a litil lyoun and a litil lioun; also and in to siluerne liouns he departide dyuerse weiyte of siluer.
Mo e koula haohaoa foki ki he ngaahi meʻa hikofi kakano, mo e ngaahi ipu luoluo, pea mo e ngaahi ipu inu: pea naʻe fakamamafa ʻae koula maʻae ngaahi ipu koula luoluo, ki he ipu luoluo taki taha; pea pehē, mo e fakamamafa ʻae siliva ki he ngaahi ipu siliva luoluo taki taha:
18 Forsothe he yaf pureste gold to the auter, wherynne encense was brent, that a lickenesse of the cart of cherubyns, holdinge forth wyngis, and hilynge the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, schulde be maad therof.
Pea mo e koula naʻe fakamaʻa naʻe fakamamafa maʻae feilaulauʻanga ʻoe meʻa namu kakala; mo e koula ki he fakatātā ʻoe saliote ʻoe ongo selupi ʻaia naʻe malofa ʻa hona kapakau, mo fakamalumalu ʻaki ʻae puha ʻoe fuakava ʻo Sihova.
19 Dauid seide, Alle thingis camen writun bi the hond of the Lord to me, that Y schulde vndirstonde alle the werkis of the saumpler.
Naʻe fakaʻilo mai eni kotoa pē ʻi he tohi ʻe Sihova, “ʻI he ʻiate au ʻa hono nima, ʻae ngaahi ngāue kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi he fakatātā ni.”
20 And Dauid seide to Salomon, his sone, Do thou manli, and be thou coumfortid, and make; drede thou not `with outforth, nether drede thou `with ynne; for `my Lord God schal be with thee, and he schal not leeue thee, nether schal forsake thee, til thou performe al the werk of the seruyce of the hows of the Lord.
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Tevita kia Solomone ko hono foha, “Ke ke mālohi koe mo ke toʻa lahi, mo ngāue: ʻoua naʻa ke manavahē, pe te ke lilika: he ko Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ko hoku ʻOtua, ʻe kau ia kiate koe; ʻe ʻikai te ne fakatukutukuʻi koe, pe te ne liʻaki koe, kaeʻoua ke ke fakaʻosi ʻae ngāue kotoa pē ki he tauhi ʻae fale ʻa Sihova.
21 Lo! the departyngis of prestis and of dekenes, in to al the werk of the seruyce of the hows of the Lord, schulen stonde niy thee; and thei ben redi, and bothe the princes and the puple kunnen do alle thi comaundementis.
Pea vakai, ko e ngaahi lakanga ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai ʻe ʻanautolu ʻae ngaahi ngāue kehekehe ʻi he fale ʻoe ʻOtua: pea ʻe ʻiate koe ki he ngaahi ngāue kehekehe kotoa pē, ʻae kau tangata poto kotoa pē ʻoku fie fai, ki he ngaahi ngāue kehekehe; pea ʻe tali fekau foki meiate koe ʻae houʻeiki pea mo e kakai kotoa pē.”
