1 Chronicles 24
1 Forsothe to the sones of Aaron these porciouns schulen be; the sones of Aaron weren Nadab, and Abyud, Eleazar, and Ythamar;
Or voici quelle fut la classification des fils d’Aaron. Les fils d’Aaron étaient Nadab, Abiu, Eléazar et Ithamar.
2 but Nadab and Abyud weren deed with out fre children bifor her fadir, and Eleazar and Ythamar weren set in presthod.
Mais Nadab et Abiu moururent avant leur père, sans enfants; et Eléazar et Ithamar exercèrent les fonctions du sacerdoce.
3 And Dauith departide hem, that is, Sadoch, of the sones of Eleazar, and Achymelech, of the sones of Ithamar, by her whiles and seruyce;
David les divisa donc, c’est-à-dire Sadoc, d’entre les fils d’Eléazar, et Ahimélech, d’entre les fils d’Ithamar, selon leurs classes et leur ministère.
4 and the sones of Eleazar weren founden many mo in the men princes, than the sones of Ythamar. Forsothe he departide to hem, that is, to the sones of Eleazar, sixtene prynces bi meynees; and to the sones of Ythamar eiyte prynces bi her meynees and howsis.
Mais il se trouva beaucoup plus de fils d’Eléazar parmi les princes, que de fils d’Ithamar. Il leur répartit donc, savoir: aux fils d’Eléazar, seize princes, selon leurs familles, et aux fils d’Ithamar, selon leurs familles et leurs maisons, huit.
5 Sotheli he departide euer eithir meynees among hem silf bi lottis; for there weren princes of the seyntuarye, and princes of the hows of God, as wel of the sones of Eleazar as of the sones of Ithamar.
Il partagea encore l’une et l’autre famille au sort; car il y avait des princes du sanctuaire, et des princes de Dieu, tant d’entre les fils d’Eléazar, que d’entre les fils d’Ithamar.
6 And Semeye, the sone of Nathanael, a scribe of the lynage of Leuy, discriuede hem bifore the king and pryncis, and bifor Sadoch, the preest, and Achymelech, the sone of Abiathar, and to the prynces of meynees of the preestis and of the dekenes; he discriuyde oon hows of Eleazar, that was souereyn to othere, and `the tother hows of Ithamar, that hadde othere vndir hym.
Séméias, fils de Nathanaël, le scribe de la tribu de Lévi, les enregistra devant le roi, les princes, Sadoc, le prêtre, Ahimélech, fils d’Abiathar, et devant les princes des familles sacerdotales et lévitiques, prenant une maison qui était à la tête des autres, celle d’Eléazar, et une autre maison qui avait sous elle les autres, celle d’Ithamar.
7 Forsothe the firste lot yede out to Joiarib, the secounde to Jedeie,
Ainsi le premier sort sortit pour Joïarib; le second, pour Jédéi;
8 the thridde to Aharym, the fourthe to Seorym,
Le troisième, pour Harim; le quatrième, pour Séorim;
9 the fyuethe to Melchie,
Le cinquième, pour Melchia; le sixième, pour Maïman;
10 the sixte to Maynan, the seuenthe to Accos,
Le septième, pour Accos; le huitième, pour Abia;
11 the eiythe to Abia, the nynthe to Hieusu, the tenthe to Sechema, the elleuenthe to Eliasib,
Le neuvième, pour Jésua; le dixième, pour Séchénia;
12 the tweluethe to Jacyn,
Le onzième, pour Eliasib; le douzième, pour Jacim;
13 the thrittenthe to Opha, the fourtenthe to Isbaal,
Le treizième, pour Hoppha; le quatorzième, pour Isbaab;
14 the fiftenthe to Abelga, the sixtenthe to Emmer,
Le quinzième, pour Belga; le seizième, pour Emmer;
15 the seuententhe to Ezir, the eiytenthe to Ahapses, the nyntenthe to Pheseye,
Le dix-septième, pour Hézir; le dix-huitième, pour Aphsès;
16 the twentithe to Jezechel,
Le dix-neuvième, pour Phétéia; le vingtième, pour Hézéchiel;
17 the oon and twentithe to Jachym, the two and twentithe to Gamul, the thre and twentithe to Dalayam,
Le vingt-unième, pour Jachin; le vingt-deuxième, pour Gamul;
18 the foure and twentithe to Mazzian.
Le vingt-troisième, pour Dalaïau; le vingt-quatrième, pour Maaziaü.
19 These weren the whilis of hem bi her mynysteries, that thei entre in to the hows of God, and bi her custom vndur the hond of Aaron, her fadir, as the Lord God of Israel comaundide.
Telles sont leurs classes, selon leurs fonctions, afin qu’ils entrent dans la maison du Seigneur suivant le rite qui leur est prescrit, sous la main d’Aaron leur père, comme avait ordonné le Seigneur Dieu d’Israël.
20 Forsothe Sebahel was prince of the sones of Leuy that weren resydue, of the sones of Amram; and the sone of Sebahel was Jedeie;
Quant aux autres fils de Lévi, d’entre les fils d’Amram, était Subaël, et d’entre les fils de Subaël, Jéhédéia.
21 also Jesie was prince of the sones of Roobie.
De plus, d’entre les fils de Rohobia, le prince Jésias.
22 Sotheli Salomoth was prince of Isaaris; and the sone of Salamoth was Janadiath;
Or le fils d’Isaar était Salémoth, et le fils de Salémoth, Jaath,
23 and his firste sone was Jeriuans, `Amarie the secounde, Azihel the thridde, `Jethmoan the fourthe.
Dont le fils Jériaü fut le premier; Amarias, le second; Jahaziel, le troisième; Jecmaan, le quatrième.
24 The sone of Ozihel was Mycha; the sone of Mycha was Samyr;
Le fils d’Oziel, Micha; le fils de Micha, Samir.
25 the brother of Mycha was Jesia; and the sone of Jesia was Zacharie.
Le frère de Micha était Jésia, et le fils de Jésia, Zacharie;
26 The sones of Merary weren Mooli and Musi; the sone of Josyan was Bennon;
Les fils de Mérari, Moholi et Musi; le fils d’Osiaü, Benno.
27 and the sone of Merarie was Ozian, and Soen, and Zaccur, and Hebri.
Le fils de Mérari fut encore Oziaü, ainsi que Soam, Zachur et Hébri;
28 Sotheli the sone of Mooli was Eleazar, that hadde not fre sones; forsothe the sone of Cys was Jeremyhel;
Mais le fils de Moholi fut Eléazar, qui n’eut point d’enfants;
29 the sones of Musy weren Mooli,
Et le fils de Cis, Jéraméel.
30 Eder, Jerymuth. These weren the sones of Leuy, bi the housis of her meynees.
Les fils de Musi furent Moholi, Eder et Jérimoth. Ce sont là les fils de Lévi, selon les maisons de leurs familles.
31 Also and thei senten lottis ayens her britheren, the sones of Aaron, bifor Dauid the kyng, and bifor Sadoch, and Achymelech, and the princes of meynees of preestis and of dekenes; lot departide euenli alle, bothe the gretter and the lesse.
Or ceux-ci aussi, tant les grands que les petits, jetèrent les sorts, comme leurs frères, les fils d’Aaron, devant David, le roi, et devant Sadoc, Ahimélech, et les princes des familles sacerdotales et lévitiques: le sort les partagea tous également.
