< 1 Chronicles 17 >
1 Forsothe whanne Dauid dwellide in his hows, he seide to Nathan, the prophete, Lo! Y dwelle in an hows of cedris; sotheli the arke of boond of pees of the Lord is vndur skynnys.
Pea naʻe hoko ʻo pehē, lolotonga ʻae nofo ʻa Tevita ʻi hono fale, naʻe pehē ʻe Tevita kia Natani ko e palōfita, “Vakai, ʻoku ou nofo au ʻi ha fale sita, ka ʻoku nofo ʻae puha ʻoe fuakava ʻa Sihova ʻi he lalo puipui [pe].”
2 And Nathan seide to Dauid, Do thou alle thingis that ben in thin herte, for God is with thee.
Pea naʻe toki pehē ʻe Natani kia Tevita, “Ke ke fai ʻae meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi ho loto; he ʻoku kau ʻae ʻOtua kiate koe.”
3 Therfor in that nyyt the word of the Lord was maad to Nathan,
Pea naʻe hoko ʻo pehē, ʻi he pō pe ko ia, naʻe hoko mai ʻae folofola ʻae ʻOtua kia Natani, ʻo pehē,
4 and seide, Go thou, and speke to Dauid, my seruaunt, The Lord seith these thingis, Thou schalt not bilde to me an hows to dwelle in;
“ʻAlu, ʻo fakahā kia Tevita ko ʻeku tamaioʻeiki, ‘ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova, ʻE ʻikai te ke langa ha fale kiate au ke u nofo ai:
5 for Y `dwellide not in an hows, fro that tyme in which Y ledde Israel out of the lond of Egipt til to this dai, but euere Y chaungide places of tabernacle, and dwellide in a tente with al Israel.
He kuo ʻikai te u nofo ʻi ha fale talu mei he ʻaho naʻaku ʻomi ai ʻa ʻIsileli ʻo aʻu mai ki he ʻaho ni; ka kuo u feʻaluʻaki ʻi he ngaahi fale fehikitaki, pea mo e fale fakaʻāunofo.
6 Where I spak nameli to oon of the iugis of Israel, to which I comaundide that thei schulde fede my puple, and seide, Whi `bildidist thou not to me an hous of cedre?
ʻI he potu kotoa pē kuo u ʻalu ki ai mo ʻIsileli kātoa, kuo u lea fakasiʻisiʻi ki ha tokotaha ʻi he kau fakamaau ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻakinautolu naʻaku fekauʻi he fafangaʻi ʻa hoku kakai, ʻo pehē, Ko e hā ʻoku ʻikai ai te mou langa moʻoku ha fale sita?’
7 Now therfor thou schalt speke thus to my seruaunt Dauid, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Y took thee, whanne thou suedist the floc in the lesewis, that thou schuldist be duyk on my puple Israel;
Ko ia foki, te ke lea ʻo pehē ki heʻeku tamaioʻeiki ko Tevita, ‘ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi tokolahi, naʻaku toʻo mai koe mei he nofoʻanga ʻoe fanga sipi, mei he muimui ki he fanga sipi, koeʻuhi ke ke pule ki hoku kakai ʻIsileli:
8 and Y was with thee whidur euere thou yedist, and Y killide alle thin enemyes bifor thee, and Y made to thee an name as of oon of the grete men that ben maad worschipful, ether `famouse, in erthe.
Pea kuo u ʻiate koe ʻi he potu fulipē kuo ke ʻalu ki ai, pea kuo u motuhi ʻa ho ngaahi fili kotoa pē mei ho ʻao, pea kuo u ngaohi moʻou ha hingoa ke tatau mo e hingoa ʻoe kakai ongoongo lahi ʻaia ʻoku ʻi māmani.
9 And Y yaf a place to my puple Israel; it schal be plauntid, and schal dwelle there ynne, and it schal no more be moued, and the sones of wickydnesse schulen not defoule hem,
Pea te u vaheʻi foki ha potu mā ʻa hoku kakai ʻIsileli, pea te u tō ʻakinautolu, pea te nau nofo ʻi honau potu, pea ʻe ʻikai toe hiki ʻakinautolu; pea ʻe ʻikai toe maumauʻi ʻakinautolu ʻe he fānau ʻoe angakovi, ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe fai ʻi he kamataʻanga,
10 as fro the bigynnyng, fro the daies in whiche Y yaf iugis to my puple Israel; and Y made lowe alle thin enemyes. Therfor Y telle to thee, that the Lord schal bilde an hows to thee.
Pea talu mei he kuonga ko ia naʻaku fekauʻi ʻae kau fakamaau ke pule ki hoku kakai ʻIsileli. Ka te u fakamoʻulaloa foki ʻa ho ngaahi fili kotoa pē. Pea ʻoku ou tala foki kiate koe ʻe langa hake ho fale ʻoʻou ʻe Sihova.
11 And whanne thou hast fillid thi daies, that thou go to thi fadris, Y schal reise thi seed after thee, that schal be of thi sones, and Y schal stablische his rewme;
12 he schal bilde to me an hows, and Y schal make stidefast his seete til in to with outen ende.
Te ne langa ʻe ia ha fale moʻoku, pea te u fokotuʻumaʻu ʻa hono nofoʻa fakatuʻi ke taʻengata.
13 Y schal be to hym in to a fadir, and he schal be to me in to a sone; and Y schal not do my mersi fro hym, as Y took awei fro hym that was bifore thee;
Te u hoko ko ʻene tamai, pea te ne hoko ia ko hoku foha: pea ʻe ʻikai te u ʻave ʻa ʻeku ʻaloʻofa meiate ia, ʻo hangē ko ʻeku ʻave ia meiate ia naʻe muʻa ʻiate koe:
14 and Y schal ordeyne hym in myn hows and in my rewme til in to with outen ende; and his trone schal be moost stidefast with outen ende.
Ka te u fokotuʻumaʻu ia ʻi hoku fale pea ʻi hoku puleʻanga ʻo taʻengata: pea ʻe fokotuʻumaʻu ʻa hono nofoʻa fakatuʻi ʻo taʻengata.’”
15 Bi alle these wordis, and bi al this reuelacioun, so Nathan spak to Dauid.
Pea naʻe fai ʻae lea ʻa Natani kia Tevita ʻo tatau mo e ngaahi lea ni kotoa pē, pea tatau mo e meʻa ha mai ni kotoa pē.
16 And whanne kyng Dauid hadde come, and hadde sete bifore the Lord, he seide, Lord God, who am Y, and what is myn hows, that thou schuldist yyue siche thingis to me?
Pea naʻe haʻu ʻa Tevita ko e tuʻi ʻo ne nofo ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova, ʻo ne pehē, “Ko hai au, ʻE Sihova ko e ʻOtua, pea ko e hā ʻa hoku fale ʻoʻoku, kuo ke ʻomi ai au ʻo aʻu mai ki heni?
17 But also this is seyn litil in thi siyt, and therfor thou spakest on the hows of thi seruaunt, yhe, in to tyme to comynge; and hast maad me worthi to be biholdun ouer alle men.
Ka ko e meʻa siʻi eni ki ho fofonga, ʻe ʻOtua; he kuo ke folofola ki he fale ʻo hoʻo tamaioʻeiki ki ha kuonga fuoloa ʻaupito ʻe haʻu, pea kuo ke fai kiate au, ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ʻo hangē ko ha tangata ʻoku ʻeiki lahi.
18 My Lord God, what may Dauid adde more, sithen thou hast so glorified thi seruaunt, and hast knowe hym?
Ko e hā ha toe lea ʻe faʻa fai ʻe Tevita maʻae ongoongolelei ʻo hoʻo tamaioʻeiki? He ʻoku ke ʻilo ʻe koe ʻa hoʻo tamaioʻeiki.
19 Lord, for thi seruaunt thou hast do bi thin herte al this grete doyng, and woldist that alle grete thingis be knowun.
ʻE Sihova, koeʻuhi ko hoʻo tamaioʻeiki, pea ʻo hangē ko ho finangalo pe ʻoʻou, kuo ke fai ʻae meʻa lahi ni kotoa pē, ʻi hoʻo fakahā mai ʻae ngaahi meʻa lahi ni.
20 Lord, noon is lijk thee, and noon other God is with oute thee, of alle whiche we herden with oure eeris.
21 For who is anothir as thi puple Israel, o folc in erthe, to whom God yede, to delyuere and make a puple to hym silf, and to caste out bi his greetnesse and dredis naciouns fro the face therof, which he delyuerede fro Egipt?
Pea kofaʻā ia ha puleʻanga ʻe taha ʻi māmani kuo tatau mo hoʻo kakai ʻIsileli, ʻaia naʻe ʻalu ai ʻae ʻOtua ke huhuʻi ko hono kakai ʻoʻona, ke ngaohi koe ko e hingoa lahi mo fakamanavahē ʻia, ko e meʻa ʻi heʻene kapusi atu ʻae ngaahi puleʻanga mei he ʻao ʻo hoʻo kakai, ʻakinautolu kuo ke huhuʻi mai mei ʻIsipite?
22 And thou hast set thi puple Israel in to a puple to thee til in to with outen ende, and thou, Lord, art maad the God therof.
He naʻa ke ngaohi ʻa hoʻo kakai ʻIsileli, ko ho kakai ʻoʻou ke taʻengata; pea ko koe, ʻE Sihova, naʻa ke hoko ko honau ʻOtua.
23 Now therfor, Lord, the word which thou hast spoke to thi seruaunt, and on his hows, be confermed with outen ende, and do, as thou spake;
Ko ia foki, ʻE Sihova, tuku ʻae meʻa kuo ke folofolaʻaki ki hoʻo tamaioʻeiki, pea mo hono fale, ke fokotuʻumaʻu ʻo taʻengata, pea ke fai ʻo hangē ko hoʻo folofola.
24 and thi name dwelle, and be magnefied `with outen ende; and be it seid, The Lord of oostis is God of Israel, and the hous of Dauid, his seruaunt, dwellynge bifor hym.
25 For thou, my Lord God, hast maad reuelacioun to the eere of thi seruaunt, that thou woldist bilde to hym an hous; and therfor thi seruaunt foond trist, that he preie bifor thee.
He ko koe, ʻE hoku ʻOtua, kuo ke fakahā ki hoʻo tamaioʻeiki te ke langa ha fale moʻona: ko ia kuo loto ai ʻa hoʻo tamaioʻeiki ke lotu ʻi ho ʻao.
26 Now therfor, Lord, thou art God, and hast spoke to thi seruaunt so grete benefices;
Pea ko eni, ʻE Sihova, ko koe ko e ʻOtua, pea kuo ke talaʻofa ʻaki ʻae lelei ni ki hoʻo tamaioʻeiki:
27 and thou hast bigunne to blesse the hous of thi seruaunt, that it be euer bifore thee; for, Lord, for thou blessist, it schal be blessid with outen ende.
Ko ia foki, ʻofa ke ke tāpuaki ʻae fale ʻo hoʻo tamaioʻeiki, koeʻuhi ke ʻi ho ʻao ia maʻuaipē; he ʻoku ke fai hono tāpuakiʻi ʻe koe, ʻE Sihova, pea ʻe monūʻia ia ʻo taʻengata.”
