< 1 Chronicles 15 >
1 And he made to hym housis in the citee of Dauid, and he bildide `a place to the arke of the Lord, and araiede a tabernacle to it.
and to make to/for him house: home in/on/with city David and to establish: prepare place to/for ark [the] God and to stretch to/for him tent
2 Thanne Dauid seide, It is vnleueful, that the arke of God be borun of `ony thing no but of the dekenes, whiche the Lord chees to bere it, and `for to mynystre to hym `til in to with outen ende.
then to say David not to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark [the] God that if: except if: except [the] Levi for in/on/with them to choose LORD to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark LORD and to/for to minister him till forever: enduring
3 And he gaderide togidere al Israel in to Jerusalem, that the arke of God schulde be brouyt in to `his place, which he hadde maad redy to it;
and to gather David [obj] all Israel to(wards) Jerusalem to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD to(wards) place his which to establish: prepare to/for him
4 also and he gaderide togidere the sones of Aaron, and the dekenes;
and to gather David [obj] son: descendant/people Aaron and [obj] [the] Levi
5 of the sones of Caath Vriel was prince, and hise britheren two hundrid and twenti;
to/for son: descendant/people Kohath Uriel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty
6 of the sones of Merari Asaya was prince, and hise britheren two hundrid and thritti;
to/for son: descendant/people Merari Asaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty
7 of the sones of Gerson the prince was Johel, and hise britheren an hundrid and thretti;
to/for son: descendant/people Gershon Joel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and thirty
8 of the sones of Elisaphan Semei was prynce, and hise britheren two hundrid;
to/for son: descendant/people Elizaphan Shemaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred
9 of the sones of Ebroun Heliel was prince, and hise britheren foure score;
to/for son: descendant/people Hebron Eliel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his eighty
10 of the sones of Oziel Amynadab was prince, and hise britheren an hundrid and twelue.
to/for son: descendant/people Uzziel Amminadab [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and two ten
11 And Dauid clepide Sadoch and Abiathar preestis, and the dekenes Vriel, Asaie, Johel, Semeie, Eliel, and Amynadab; and seide to hem,
and to call: call to David to/for Zadok and to/for Abiathar [the] priest and to/for Levi to/for Uriel Asaiah and Joel Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab
12 Ye that ben princes of the meynees of Leuy, be halewid with youre britheren, and brynge ye the arke of the Lord God of Israel to the place, which is maad redi to it;
and to say to/for them you(m. p.) head: leader [the] father to/for Levi to consecrate: consecate you(m. p.) and brother: male-relative your and to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel to(wards) to establish: prepare to/for him
13 lest, as at the bigynnyng, for ye weren not present, the Lord smoot vs, and now it be don, if we don ony vnleueful thing.
for to/for what? in/on/with first not you(m. p.) to break through LORD God our in/on/with us for not to seek him like/as justice: judgement
14 Therfor the preestis and dekenes weren halewid, that thei schulden bere the arke of the Lord God of Israel.
and to consecrate: consecate [the] priest and [the] Levi to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel
15 And the sones of Leuy token the arke of God with barris on her schuldris, as Moises comaundide bi the word of the Lord.
and to lift: bear son: descendant/people [the] Levi [obj] ark [the] God like/as as which to command Moses like/as word LORD in/on/with shoulder their in/on/with yoke upon them
16 And Dauid seide to the princes of dekenes, that thei schulden ordeyne of her britheren syngeris in orguns of musikis, that is, in giternes, and harpis, and symbalis; that the sown of gladnesse schulde sowne an hiy.
and to say David to/for ruler [the] Levi to/for to stand: appoint [obj] brother: male-relative their [the] to sing in/on/with article/utensil song harp and lyre and cymbal to hear: proclaim to/for to exalt in/on/with voice: sound to/for joy
17 And thei ordeyneden dekenes, Heman, the sone of Johel, and of hise britheren, Asaph, the sone of Barachie; sotheli of the sones of Merary, britheren of hem, thei ordeyneden Ethan,
and to stand: appoint [the] Levi [obj] Heman son: child Joel and from brother: male-relative his Asaph son: child Berechiah and from son: child Merari brother: male-relative their Ethan son: child Kushaiah
18 the sone of Casaye, and the britheren of hem with hem; in the secunde ordre `thei ordeyneden Zacarie, and Ben, and Jazihel, and Semyramoth, and Jahiel, `and Am, Heliab, and Benaye, and Maasie, and Mathathie, and Eliphalu, and Mathenye, and Obededon, and Jehiel, porteris;
and with them brother: male-relative their [the] second Zechariah Ben and Jaaziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni Eliab and Benaiah and Maaseiah and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel [the] gatekeeper
19 forsothe `thei ordeyneden the syngeris Eman, Asaph, and Ethan, sownynge in brasun cymbalis;
and [the] to sing Heman Asaph and Ethan in/on/with cymbal bronze to/for to hear: proclaim
20 sotheli Zacarie, and Oziel, and Semyramoth, and Jahihel, and Ham, and Eliab, and Maasie, and Banaie, sungun pryuetees in giternes; forsothe Mathathie,
and Zechariah and Aziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni and Eliab and Maaseiah and Benaiah in/on/with harp upon Alamoth
21 and Eliphalu, and Mathenye, and Obededom, and Jehiel, and Ozazym, sungen in harpis for the eiytithe, and epynychion, `that is, victorie `be to God ouercomere;
and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel and Azaziah in/on/with lyre upon [the] Sheminith to/for to conduct
22 forsothe Chinonye, the prince of dekenes, and of profecie, was souereyn to biforsynge melodie, for he was ful wijs;
and Chenaniah ruler [the] Levi in/on/with burden to discipline in/on/with burden for to understand he/she/it
23 and Barachie, and Elchana, weren porters of the arke; forsothe Sebenye,
and Berechiah and Elkanah gatekeeper to/for ark
24 and Josaphath, and Mathanael, and Amasaye, and Zacarie, and Banaye, and Eliezer, preestis, sowneden with trumpis bifor the arke of the Lord; and Obededom, and Achymaas, weren porteris of the arke.
and Shebaniah and Joshaphat and Nethanel and Amasai and Zechariah and Benaiah and Eliezer [the] priest (to blow *Q(k)*) in/on/with trumpet to/for face: before ark [the] God and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jehiah gatekeeper to/for ark
25 Therfor Dauid, and the grettere men in birthe of Israel, and the tribunes, yeden to brynge the arke of boond of pees of the Lord fro the hows of Obededom with gladnesse.
and to be David and old: elder Israel and ruler [the] thousand [the] to go: went to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD from house: home Obed-edom Obed-edom in/on/with joy
26 And whanne God hadde helpid the dekenes that baren the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, seuene bolis and seuene rammes weren offrid.
and to be in/on/with to help [the] God [obj] [the] Levi to lift: bear ark covenant LORD and to sacrifice seven bullock and seven ram
27 Forsothe Dauid was clothid with a white stole, and alle the dekenes that baren the arke, and the syngeris, and Chononye, the prince of profecie among syngeris, weren clothid in white stolis; forsothe also Dauid was clothid with a lynun surplijs.
and David be clothed in/on/with robe fine linen and all [the] Levi [the] to lift: bear [obj] [the] ark and [the] to sing and Chenaniah [the] ruler [the] burden [the] to sing and upon David ephod linen
28 And al Israel ledden forth the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, and sowneden in ioiful song, and in sown of clariouns, and in trumpis, and cymbalis, and giternis, and harpis.
and all Israel to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD in/on/with shout and in/on/with voice: sound trumpet and in/on/with trumpet and in/on/with cymbal to hear: proclaim in/on/with harp and lyre
29 And whanne the arke of boond of pees of the Lord hadde come to the citee of Dauid, Mychol, the douytir of Saul, bihelde forth bi a wyndowe, and sche siy king Dauyd daunsynge and pleiynge; and sche dispiside hym in hir herte.
and to be ark covenant LORD to come (in): come till city David and Michal daughter Saul to look about/through/for [the] window and to see: see [obj] [the] king David to skip about and to laugh and to despise to/for him in/on/with heart her
