1 Chronicles 14
1 And Iram, the kyng of Tyre, sente messageris to Dauid, and `he sente trees of cedre, and werk men of wallis and of trees, that thei schulden bilde to hym an hows.
१नंतर सोराचा राजा हिराम याने दावीदाकडे दूत पाठवले आणि याखेरीज त्याने गंधसरूचे लाकडे, गवंडी, सुतार दाविदासाठी त्याने घर बांधले.
2 And Dauid knewe that the Lord hadde confermyd hym in to kyng on Israel; and that his rewme was reisid on his puple Israel.
२तेव्हा, परमेश्वराने आपल्याला इस्राएलावर राजा केले आहे हे दावीदाला समजले आणि इस्राएलाच्या लोकांसाठी देवाने त्याचे राज्य उंचावले.
3 And Dauid took othere wyues in Jerusalem, and gendride sones and douytris.
३यरूशलेम मधल्या आणखी काही स्त्रियांशी दावीदाने लग्ने केली. आणि तो आणखी पुत्र पौत्राचा पिता झाला.
4 And these ben the names of hem that weren borun to hym in Jerusalem; Sammu, and Sobab, Nathan, and Salomon,
४यरूशलेमेमध्ये जन्मलेल्या त्याच्या या मुलांची नावे अशी: शम्मुवा, शोबाब, नाथान, शलमोन,
5 Jeber, and Elisu, and Heli, and Eliphalech,
५इभार, अलीशवा, एल्पलेट,
6 and Noga, and Napheg, and Japhie,
६नोगा, नेफेग. याफीय,
7 and Elisama, and Baliada, and Eliphelech.
७अलीशामा, बेल्यादा, अलीफलेट.
8 Forsothe the Filisteis herden that Dauid was anoyntid `in to kyng on al Israel, and alle stieden to seke Dauid. And whanne Dauid hadde herd this thing, he yede out ayens hem.
८आता सर्व इस्राएलावर राजा होण्यासाठी दावीदाला अभिषेक केला आहे हे पलिष्ट्यांना जेव्हा कळाले तेव्हा ते दावीदाचा शोध करायला निघाले. पण दावीदाला ही बातमी कळाली तेव्हा तो त्यांच्याशी लढायला निघाला.
9 Forsothe Filisteis camen, and weren spred abrood in the valey of Raphaym;
९आणि पलिष्ट्यांनी रेफाईमच्या खोऱ्यात राहणाऱ्या लोकांवर छापे मारून त्यांना लुटले.
10 and Dauid counselide the Lord, and seide, Whether Y schal stie to Filisteis? and whether thou schalt bitake hem in to myn hondis? And the Lord seide to hym, Stie thou, and Y schal bitake hem in thin hond.
१०मग दावीदाने देवाला विचारले. तो म्हणाला, “पलिष्ट्यांवर मी हल्ला करु काय? मला तू त्यांच्यावर जय देशील काय?” परमेश्वराने त्यास सांगितले “हल्ला कर, मी त्यांना तुझ्या हाती नक्कीच देईन.”
11 And whanne thei hadden styed in to Baal Pharasym, Dauid smoot hem there, and seide, God hath departid myn enemyes bi myn hond, as watris ben departid. And therfor the name of that place was clepid Baal Pharasym; and thei leften there her goddis,
११मग दावीद आणि त्याची माणसे बालपरासीम येथपर्यंत जाऊन पोचली आणि तेथे त्यांने त्यांचा पराभव केला. तो म्हणाला, “देव पुराच्या पाण्याच्या लोंढ्याप्रमाणे माझ्या हाताने माझ्या शत्रूवर तुटून पडला आहे.” त्याठिकाणाचे नाव बाल-परासीम असे पडले आहे.
12 which Dauid comaundide to be brent.
१२पलिष्ट्यांनी आपले देव तिथेच टाकले. आणि दावीदाने त्या मूर्ती जाळून टाकण्याची आज्ञा दिली.
13 Forsothe another tyme Filisteis felden in, and weren spred abrood in the valei;
१३रेफाईमच्या खोऱ्यात राहणाऱ्या लोकांवर पलिष्ट्यांनी पुन्हा एकदा हल्ला केला.
14 and eft Dauid counseilide the Lord, and the Lord seide to hym, Thou schalt not stie aftir hem; go awei fro hem, and thou schalt come ayens hem euen ayens the pere trees.
१४दावीदाने पुन्हा देवाला मदतीसाठी विचारले. देव त्यास म्हणाला “तू त्यांच्यावर हल्ला करायला जाशील तेव्हा समोरुन जाऊ नकोस तर वळसा घेऊन तुतीच्या झाडांसमोर त्याच्यावर चालून जा.
15 And whanne thou schalt here the sowun of a goere in the cop of the pere trees, thanne thou schalt go out to batel; for the Lord is go out byfor thee, to smyte the castels of Filisteis.
१५तुतीच्या झाडांच्या शेंड्यांमधून तुला सैन्य चाल करून जाण्याचा आवाज ऐकशील तेव्हा लढाईला पुढे निघून जा. कारण देव पलिष्ट्यांवर हल्ला करायला पुढे निघाला आहे.”
16 Therfor Dauid dide as God comaundide to hym, and he smoot the castels of Filisteis fro Gabaon `til to Gazara.
१६दावीदाने देवाच्या सांगण्याप्रमाणे केले. दावीदाने आपल्या लोकांसह पलिष्ट्यांचा पाडाव केला. गिबोनापासून गेजेरपर्यंत त्यांनी पलिष्ट्यांच्या सैन्याला झोडपून काढले.
17 And the name of Dauid was puplischid in alle cuntreis, and the Lord yaf his drede on alle folkis.
१७त्यामुळे दावीदाची कीर्ती सर्व देशात पसरली. परमेश्वराने सर्व राष्ट्रात त्याची दहशत निर्माण केली.
