1 Chronicles 14
1 And Iram, the kyng of Tyre, sente messageris to Dauid, and `he sente trees of cedre, and werk men of wallis and of trees, that thei schulden bilde to hym an hows.
Und Hiram, der König von Tyrus, sandte Boten zu David, und Zedernholz und Maurer und Zimmerleute, damit sie ihm ein Haus bauten.
2 And Dauid knewe that the Lord hadde confermyd hym in to kyng on Israel; and that his rewme was reisid on his puple Israel.
Da erkannte David, daß der HERR ihn zum König über Israel bestätigt hatte; denn sein Königreich ward hoch erhaben um seines Volkes Israel willen.
3 And Dauid took othere wyues in Jerusalem, and gendride sones and douytris.
Und David nahm noch mehr Frauen zu Jerusalem und zeugte noch mehr Söhne und Töchter.
4 And these ben the names of hem that weren borun to hym in Jerusalem; Sammu, and Sobab, Nathan, and Salomon,
Und dies sind die Namen derer, die ihm zu Jerusalem geboren wurden: Sammua, Sobab, Natan, Salomo,
5 Jeber, and Elisu, and Heli, and Eliphalech,
Jibchar, Elischua, Eliphelet,
6 and Noga, and Napheg, and Japhie,
Noga, Nepheg, Japhia,
7 and Elisama, and Baliada, and Eliphelech.
Elischama, Beeljada und Eliphelet.
8 Forsothe the Filisteis herden that Dauid was anoyntid `in to kyng on al Israel, and alle stieden to seke Dauid. And whanne Dauid hadde herd this thing, he yede out ayens hem.
Als aber die Philister hörten, daß David zum König über ganz Israel gesalbt worden war, zogen alle Philister hinauf, um David zu suchen. Als David solches hörte, zog er ihnen entgegen.
9 Forsothe Filisteis camen, and weren spred abrood in the valey of Raphaym;
Und die Philister kamen und ließen sich nieder im Tal Rephaim.
10 and Dauid counselide the Lord, and seide, Whether Y schal stie to Filisteis? and whether thou schalt bitake hem in to myn hondis? And the Lord seide to hym, Stie thou, and Y schal bitake hem in thin hond.
David aber befragte Gott und sprach: Soll ich wider die Philister hinaufziehen, und willst du sie in meine Hand geben? Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Ziehe hinauf, ich habe sie in deine Hand gegeben!
11 And whanne thei hadden styed in to Baal Pharasym, Dauid smoot hem there, and seide, God hath departid myn enemyes bi myn hond, as watris ben departid. And therfor the name of that place was clepid Baal Pharasym; and thei leften there her goddis,
Und als sie gen Baal-Perazim hinaufzogen, schlug sie David daselbst. Und David sprach: Gott hat durch meine Hand meine Feinde zerrissen, wie die Wasser [Dämme] zerreißen. Daher hießen sie jenen Ort Baal-Perazim.
12 which Dauid comaundide to be brent.
Und sie ließen ihre Götter daselbst zurück; da ließ sie David mit Feuer verbrennen.
13 Forsothe another tyme Filisteis felden in, and weren spred abrood in the valei;
Aber die Philister breiteten sich nochmals im Tale aus.
14 and eft Dauid counseilide the Lord, and the Lord seide to hym, Thou schalt not stie aftir hem; go awei fro hem, and thou schalt come ayens hem euen ayens the pere trees.
Und David befragte Gott abermals. Und Gott sprach zu ihm: Du sollst nicht hinter ihnen her hinaufziehen, sondern wende dich von ihnen ab, daß du von den Balsamstauden her an sie herankommest!
15 And whanne thou schalt here the sowun of a goere in the cop of the pere trees, thanne thou schalt go out to batel; for the Lord is go out byfor thee, to smyte the castels of Filisteis.
Wenn du alsdann in den Wipfeln der Balsamstauden das Geräusch eines Einherschreitens hören wirst, so ziehe aus zum Streit; denn Gott ist daselbst vor dir ausgezogen, das Heer der Philister zu schlagen.
16 Therfor Dauid dide as God comaundide to hym, and he smoot the castels of Filisteis fro Gabaon `til to Gazara.
Und David tat, wie Gott ihm geboten hatte. Und sie schlugen das Heer der Philister von Gibeon an bis gen Geser.
17 And the name of Dauid was puplischid in alle cuntreis, and the Lord yaf his drede on alle folkis.
Und Davids Ruhm ging aus in alle Lande, und der HERR ließ Furcht vor ihm über alle Heiden kommen.
