Revelation 3
1 And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, These things saith He that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead:
Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Sardis: Estas cosas dice Él que tiene los siete Espíritus de Dios y las siete estrellas: Tengo conocimiento de tus obras, que pareces estar vivo, pero estás muerto.
2 be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die; for I have not found thy works perfect in the sight of God.
Sé vigilante, y confirma el resto de las cosas que están cerca de la muerte; porque a juzgar por mí, tus obras no he hallado perfectas delante de Dios.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent: for if thou be not watchful, I will come upon thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come upon thee.
Ten en cuenta, entonces, la enseñanza que han recibido y oído; guárdalo y arrepiéntete. Si entonces no vigilas, vendré como un ladrón, y no sabrás la hora en que vendré sobre ti.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis, which have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white; for they are worthy.
Pero tienes algunas personas en Sardis que han mantenido limpias sus ropas; y andarán conmigo en vestiduras blancas, porque son dignas.
5 He that overcometh shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name from the book of life; but I will own his name before my Father, and before his angels.
El que venciere será vestido de blanco, y no quitaré su nombre del libro de la vida, y daré testimonio de su nombre delante de mi Padre y delante de sus ángeles.
6 Let him, that hath an ear, hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
El que tiene oído, que oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, These things saith the holy One, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth and no one shutteth, and shutteth and no one openeth:
Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Filadelfia: Estas cosas dice el que es santo, el que es verdadero, el que tiene la llave de David, que abre la puerta para que nadie la cierra y cierra y ninguno abre;
8 I know thy works, and behold I have given thee an open door, and no one shall be able to shut it; for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Tengo conocimiento de tus obras mira, he puesto delante de ti una puerta abierta, que nadie puede cerrar; porque aunque tienes poca fuerza, has guardado mi palabra, y has sido fiel a mi nombre.
9 Behold, I will give up those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and are not, but speak falsely; behold, I will make them come and bow before thy feet, and they shall know that I have loved thee.
He aquí, yo entrego de la sinagoga de Satanás que dicen que son judíos, y no lo son, sino que mienten; Haré que vengan y den culto ante tus pies, y reconozcan que yo te he amado.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which is to come upon the whole world, to try those that dwell upon the earth.
Porque has guardado mi palabra de la paciencia, te guardaré de la hora de la prueba que está por venir en todo el mundo, para poner a prueba a los que están en la tierra.
11 Behold, I come quickly; hold fast what thou hast, that no one may take thy crown.
He aquí: yo vengo pronto; conserva lo que tienes, para que nadie te quite tu corona.
12 Him, that overcometh, I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, (the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, ) and my own new name.
Al que venciere, lo haré columna en el templo de mi Dios, y nunca más saldrá de allí; y escribiré sobre él el nombre de mi Dios, y el nombre de la ciudad de mi Dios, la nueva Jerusalén, que desciende del cielo, de mi Dios, y mi nuevo nombre.
13 Let him, that hath an ear, hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
El que tiene oído, que oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.
14 And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:
Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Laodicea: Estas cosas dice el Amén, el testigo verdadero y fiel, el principio de la creación de Dios:
15 I wish thou wert cold or hot.
Tengo conocimiento de tus obras, que no eres frío ni cálido: sería mejor si fueses fríos o calientes!
16 So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will cast thee out of my mouth:
Así que porque no eres una cosa o la otra, te vomitaré de mi boca.
17 because thou sayst, I am rich, and wealthy, and have want of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
Porque dices: Tengo riquezas, y he juntado bienes y tierra, y no tengo necesidad de nada; y no eres consciente de tu condición triste e infeliz, de que eres pobre, ciego y desnudo.
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayst be rich; and white raiment that thou mayst be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear: and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayst see.
Por tanto, yo te aconsejo que de mí compres oro refinado en fuego, para que seas rico; y túnicas blancas para ponerse, para que no se vea la vergüenza de tu desnudez; y unge tus ojos con colirio para que puedas ver.
19 Whomsoever I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent.
A todos los que amo; yo reprendo y castigo; se, pues fervoroso y arrepiéntete.
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any one hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
He aquí yo estoy a la puerta y llamo; si mi voz llega a oídos de cualquier hombre y él abre la puerta, entraré a él, y comeré con él y él conmigo.
21 To him that overcometh I will grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also have overcome, and am set down with my Father on his throne.
Al que venciere, le daré que se siente en mi trono, así como he vencido, y me he sentado con mi Padre en su trono.
22 Let him, that hath an ear, hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
El que tiene oído, que oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.
