< Philippians 4 >

1 Wherefore, my brethren, beloved and much desired, my joy and crown, so stand ye fast in the Lord, my beloved.
Zato, moji bratje, srčno ljubljeni in zaželeni, moja radost in krona, tako stojte trdno v Gospodu, moji srčno ljubljeni.
2 I exhort Euodia, and Syntyche to be perfectly united in the Lord.
Rotim Evodíjo in rotim Sintího, da bosta istega mišljenja v Gospodu.
3 And I entreat thee likewise, my faithful collegue, to assist them, for they laboured with me in the gospel, and Clement also, and my other fellow-laborers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, Rejoice.
Nenehno se veselite v Gospodu. In ponovno pravim: ›Veselite se.‹
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Naj bo vaša zmernost znana vsem ljudem. Gospod je blizu.
6 Be anxious in nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known before God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
In Božji mir, ki presega vse razumevanje, bo varoval vaša srca in mišljenja po Kristusu Jezusu.
8 Finally my brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are venerable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are friendly, whatever things are reputable, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think of these things:
Končno, bratje, katerekoli stvari so resnične, katerekoli stvari so iskrene, katerekoli stvari so pravične, katerekoli stvari so čiste, katerekoli stvari so očarljive, katerekoli stvari so na dobrem glasu; če obstaja kakršnakoli moč in če obstaja kakršnakoli hvala, mislite na te stvari.
9 and what ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these practise; and the God of peace will be with you.
10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord, that your care for me has now flourished again; for whom ye were indeed careful before, but ye wanted opportunity.
11 Not that I speak on account of want; for I have learnt in whatever circumstances I am, to be contented.
12 I know both how to be abased, and how to abound: in every place, and in all conditions I am instructed, both to be full and to be hungry, to abound and to be in want.
13 I can do all things through Christ strengthening me.
14 Nevertheless ye did well in communicating to the relief of my affliction.
15 And ye Philippians know, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I was departing from Macedonia, no church communicated to me on the score of giving and receiving, but you only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again to supply my wants.
Kajti celó v Tesaloníko ste večkrat poslali za mojo nujno potrebo.
17 Not that I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18 And indeed I have it all, and now abound: I am fully supplied, having received of Epaphroditus the things sent by you, a fragrant odor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
Toda imam vse in obilo; sem poln, ker sem od Epafrodita prejel stvari, ki so bile poslane od vas, dišavo sladkega vonja, sprejemljivo žrtvovanje, všečno Bogu.
19 And my God will supply all your wants, according to his riches, in glory, by Christ Jesus.
20 Now to our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Torej Bogu in našemu Očetu bodi slava na veke vekov. Amen. (aiōn g165)
21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren that are with me salute you:
Pozdravite vsakega svetega v Kristusu Jezusu. Pozdravljajo vas bratje, ki so z menoj.
22 and all the saints here salute you, but especially those of Cesar's household.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Milost našega Gospoda Jezusa Kristusa bodi z vami vsemi. Amen.
