Philippians 1
1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus, which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

2 grace be unto you, and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 I give thanks unto my God upon every mention of you,
Nneebaza Katonda wange buli lwe mbajjukira,
4 (always making supplication for you all with joy
era buli lwe mbasabira mwenna nsaba nga nzijudde essanyu.
5 in every prayer of mine) for your attachment to the gospel, from the first day even till now;
Kubanga okuviira ddala ku lunaku olwasooka n’okutuusiza ddala kaakano mwetaba wamu nange mu njiri.
6 being confident of this, that He who hath begun a good work in you will continue to perfect it till the day of Jesus Christ.
Nkakasiza ddala nti oyo eyatandika omulimu omulungi mu mmwe, aligutuukiriza okutuusa ku lunaku lwa Kristo Yesu.
7 As it is just for me to think this of you all, because ye have me in your heart, both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, being all of you partakers of the same grace with me.
Kino kituufu okubalowoozaako bwe ntyo mwenna, kubanga mundowoozaako mu kusibibwa kwange ne mu kulwanirira Enjiri, ne mu kuginyweza, nga mwenna mwetaba wamu nange mu kisa.
8 For God is my witness, how much I long for you all, as with the bowels of Jesus Christ.
Katonda ye mujulirwa wange nga mwenna bwe mbaagala n’okwagala okuva eri Kristo Yesu.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment;
Mbasabira nti okwagala kwammwe kweyongerenga, era mujjule amagezi n’okutegeera,
10 that ye may try things that differ, that ye may be sincere and without offence until the day of Christ;
mulyoke mulonde ekisinga obulungi, olunaku lwa Kristo bwe lulituuka lubasange nga muli balongoofu abataliiko kamogo,
11 being full of the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God.

12 But I would have you know, my brethren, that the things, which have befallen me, have proved rather to the advancement of the gospel:
Abooluganda, njagala mmwe mutegeere kaakano nti ebimu ebyambaako byongera bwongezi kubunyisa Njiri,
13 so that my bonds are manifest in all the palace, and all other places, to be for the sake of Christ;
n’okusibibwa kwange kulyoke kulabise Kristo eri olusiisira lwonna olw’abaserikale ba kabaka n’eri abalala bonna.
14 and many of the brethren in the Lord, encouraged by my bonds, are much more bold to publish the word without fear.
N’abooluganda mu Mukama waffe abasinga obungi beeyongedde okuguma olw’okusibibwa kwange, era nga bamaliridde okwaŋŋanga okubuulira nga tebatya.
15 Some indeed through envy and strife, and some also through good-will:
Weewaawo abamu bategeeza abantu Kristo lwa buggya na kuvuganya, naye abalala bakikola mu mwoyo mulungi.
16 the former preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, thinking to add affliction to my bonds;
Bano bakikola lwa kwagala, kubanga bamanyi nga nalondebwa lwa kulwanirira Njiri.
17 the others out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
Naye bali bategeeza Kristo lwa kuvuganya, so si mu mazima, nga balowooza nti banaayongera okunnakuwaza mu busibe bwe ndimu.
18 What then? yet every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached: and in this I rejoice, yea and I will rejoice;
Naye nze nfaayo ki? Kristo bw’abuulirwa, mu buli ngeri, oba za bukuusa oba za mazima, nze nsanyuka busanyusi. Era nzija kweyongera okusanyuka.
19 for I know that this shall turn to my safety through your prayer, and the aid of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Kubanga mmanyi nti olw’okunsabira n’olw’amaanyi g’Omwoyo wa Yesu Kristo, ndifuna okulokolebwa kwange.
20 According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I shall be put to shame in nothing; but that with all freedom of speech, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
Neesiga era nsubirira ddala nti sijja kuswala mu nsonga n’emu, wabula ne kaakano nzija kuguma nga bulijjo, Kristo agulumizibwe mu mubiri gwange, oba okuyita mu bulamu oba okuyita mu kufa.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain: and if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor:
Nze mba mulamu lwa Kristo era ne bwe nfa mba ngobolodde.
22 so that I know not what to chuse;
Naye obanga bwe mba omulamu mu mubiri ng’ekyo kibala ky’okufuba kwange, simanyi kye nnaalondawo.
23 for I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ, which is much preferable:
Nkwatiddwa buli luuyi; nneegomba okuva mu bulamu buno ŋŋende mbeere ne Kristo, kubanga ekyo kisingako obulungi.
24 but to abide in the flesh is more necessary for you.
Naye okusigala mu mubiri kye kisinga okwetaagibwa ku lwammwe
25 And as I am confident of this, I know that I shall abide and shall continue with you all, for your improvement and the joy of your faith:
Ekyo nkikakasa era nkimanyi nti nzija kuba nga nkyaliwo mbeere nammwe, mulyoke mweyongere okusanyuka n’okukula mu kukkiriza,
26 that your rejoicing in Christ Jesus may abound through me, by my coming to you again.
bwe ndikomawo gye muli mulyoke mweyongere okwenyumiririza mu Kristo ku lwange.
27 Only behave worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or be absent, I may hear of you, that ye stand firm in one Spirit, striving together as with one soul for the saith of the gospel;
Naye kirungi obulamu bwammwe bubeerenga nga bwe kisaanira Enjiri ya Kristo; ne bwe ndijja oba ne bwe sirijja kubalaba, mpulire nti muli banywevu era mwegasse mu mwoyo gumu, nga mulwanirira okukkiriza okw’enjiri n’emmeeme emu.
28 and are in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is a demonstration of ruin to them, but to you of salvation, and this from God.
Temutyanga abo ababawakanya kubanga ke kabonero akakakasa nti balizikirizibwa, naye mmwe mulirokolebwa, era ekyo kiva eri Katonda.
29 For to you it is granted as a favor from Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for his sake:
Kubanga mwaweebwa omukisa, ku lwa Kristo, si mu kumukkiriza kyokka, naye n’okubonaabona ku lulwe.
30 having the same conflict as ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
Olutalo lwe mwalaba nga nnwana, era lwe muwulira lwe ndiko kaakano, nammwe lwe muliko.
