Mark 10
1 And He arose from thence and came into the coasts of Judea, through the country beyond Jordan: and the people resorted to Him again; and, as He was wont, He taught them again.
১যীশু সেই জায়গা ছেড়ে যিহূদিয়াতে ও যর্দ্দন নদীর অন্য পারে এলেন; এবং তাঁর কাছে আবার লোক আসতে লাগলো এবং তিনি নিজের নিয়ম অনুসারে আবার তাদেরকে শিক্ষা দিতে লাগলেন।
2 And the pharisees came to Him and asked Him, "if it were lawful for a man to put away his wife," tempting Him.
২তখন ফরীশীরা পরীক্ষা করার জন্য তাঁর কাছে এসে যীশুকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলো একজন স্বামীর তার স্ত্রীকে ছেড়ে দেওয়া কি উচিত?
3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
৩তিনি তাদের উত্তর দিলেন, মোশি তোমাদেরকে কি আদেশ দিয়েছেন?
4 And they said, Moses permitted a man to write a bill of divorce, and to put her away.
৪তারা বলল, ত্যাগপত্র লিখে নিজের স্ত্রীকে ছেড়ে দেবার অনুমতি মোশি দিয়েছেন।
5 And Jesus replied, He wrote this precept on account of your cruel tempers:
৫যীশু তাদেরকে বললেন, তোমাদের মন কঠিন বলেই মোশি এই আদেশ লিখেছেন;
6 but from the beginning of the world, God created them male and female.
৬কিন্তু সৃষ্টির প্রথম থেকে ঈশ্বর পুরুষ ও স্ত্রী করে তাদের বানিয়েছেন;
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother,
৭এই জন্য মানুষ তার বাবা ও মাকে ত্যাগ করে নিজের স্ত্রীতে আসক্ত হবে।
8 and be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh: so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
৮“আর তারা দুইজন এক দেহ হবে, সুতরাং তারা আর দুই নয়, কিন্তু এক দেহ।”
9 Therefore let not man separate what God hath joined together.
৯অতএব ঈশ্বর যাদেরকে এক করেছেন মানুষ যেন তাদের আলাদা না করে।
10 And when they were in the house his disciples asked Him again about it:
১০শিষ্যেরা ঘরে এসে আবার সেই বিষয়ে যীশুকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন।
11 and He told them, Whoever putteth away his wife and marrieth another, committeth adultery against her.
১১তিনি তাদেরকে বললেন, যে কেউ নিজের স্ত্রীকে ছেড়ে দিয়ে অন্য স্ত্রীকে বিয়ে করে, সে তার সঙ্গে ব্যভিচার করে;
12 And if a woman be divorced from her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
১২আর স্ত্রী যদি নিজের স্বামীকে ছেড়ে অন্য আর একজন পুরুষকে বিয়ে করে, তবে সেও ব্যভিচার করে।
13 And they brought to Him little children that He might touch them: and the disciples rebuked those that brought them.
১৩পরে লোকেরা কতগুলো শিশুকে যীশুর কাছে আনলো, যেন তিনি তাদেরকে ছুতে পারেন কিন্তু শিষ্যরা তাদের ধমক দিলেন।
14 Which Jesus observing, was much displeased, and said to them, Let the children come to me; and hinder them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.
১৪যখন যীশু তা দেখে রেগে গেলেন, আর শিষ্যদের কে বললেন, শিশুদের আমার কাছে আসতে দাও, বারণ করো না; কারণ ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য এই রকম লোকদেরই।
15 Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall by no means enter into it.
১৫আমি তোমাদের সত্য বলছি, যে কেউ শিশুর মতো হয়ে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য গ্রহণ না করে, তবে সে কখনই ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না।
16 And He took them in his arms, and put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
১৬পরে যীশু শিশুদের কোলে তুলে নিলেন ও তাদের মাথার উপরে হাত রেখে আশীর্বাদ করলেন।
17 And as he went out into the way, there came one running and kneeling to Him, and asked Him, Good master, what shall I do, that I may inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
১৭পরে যখন তিনি আবার বের হয়ে পথ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন, একজন লোক দৌড়ে এসে তাঁর সামনে হাঁটু গেড়ে বিনীত ভাবে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন হে সৎগুরু, অনন্ত জীবন পেতে হোলে আমাকে কি কি করতে হবে? (aiōnios g166)
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why dost thou call me good? there is none good, but one, that is God.
১৮যীশু তাকে বললেন, আমাকে সৎ কেন বলছো? ঈশ্বর ছাড়া আর কেউ সৎ নয়।
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and thy mother.
১৯তুমি আদেশগুলি জান, “মানুষ খুন করো না, ব্যভিচার করো না, চুরি করো না, মিথ্যা সাক্ষ্য দিও না, ঠকিও না, তোমার বাবা মাকে সম্মান করো”।
20 And he answered and said unto Him, Master, all these have I kept from my youth.
২০সেই লোকটি তাঁকে বলল, হে গুরু, ছোট্ট বয়স থেকে এই সব নিয়ম আমি মেনে আসছি।
21 Then Jesus looked upon him with affection, and said to him, One thing thou wantest; go, sell all that thou hast, and give it to the poor; and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross and follow me.
২১যীশু তার দিকে ভালবেসে তাকালেন এবং বললেন, একটি বিষয়ে তোমার অভাব আছে, যাও, তোমার যা কিছু আছে, বিক্রি করে গরিবদের দান কর, তাতে স্বর্গে তুমি ধন পাবে; আর এস, আমাকে অনুসরণ কর।
22 But he was sad at that saying, and went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions.
২২এই কথায় সেই লোকটি হতাশ হয়ে চলে গেল, কারণ তার অনেক সম্পত্তি ছিল।
23 And Jesus looking round about saith to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
২৩তারপর যীশু চারিদিকে তাকিয়ে নিজের শিষ্যদের বললেন, যারা ধনী তাদের পক্ষে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে ঢোকা অনেক কঠিন!
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus repeating it, saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them, that trust in riches, to enter into the kingdom of God!
২৪তাঁর কথা শুনে শিষ্যরা অবাক হয়ে গেলো; কিন্তু যীশু আবার তাদের বললেন, সন্তানেরা যারা ধন সম্পত্তিতে নির্ভর করে, তাদের পক্ষে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে ঢোকা অনেক কঠিন!
25 It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
২৫ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে ধনী মানুষের ঢোকার থেকে সুচের ছিদ্র দিয়ে উটের যাওয়া সোজা।
26 And they were exceedingly amazed, saying one to another, Who then can be saved?
২৬তখন তারা খুব অবাক হয়ে বললেন, “তবে কে রক্ষা পেতে পারে?”
27 But Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.
২৭যীশু তাদের দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন এটা মানুষের কাছে অসম্ভব, কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের কাছে অসম্ভব নয়, কারণ ঈশ্বরের কাছে সবই সম্ভব।
28 Then Peter said to Him, Behold we have left all, and followed thee.
২৮তখন পিতর তাঁকে বললেন, দেখুন, আমরা সব কিছু ছেড়ে আপনার অনুসরণকারী হয়েছি।
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children,
২৯যীশু বললেন, আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, এমন কেউ নেই, যে আমার জন্য ও আমার সুসমাচার প্রচারের জন্য তার ঘরবাড়ি, ভাই বোনদের, মা বাবাকে, ছেলে-মেয়েকে, জমিজায়গা ছেড়েছে কিন্তু এই পৃথিবীতে থাকাকালীন সে তার শতগুণ কি ফিরে পাবে না;
31 But many that are first shall be last, and the last first.
৩১কিন্তু অনেকে এমন লোক যারা প্রথম, তারা শেষে পড়বে এবং যারা শেষের, তারা প্রথম হবে। যীশু তৃতীয় বার নিজের মৃত্যুর বিষয়ে বললেন।
32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed at it, and afraid to follow Him. And again taking the twelve aside, He began to tell them what things should befal Him,
৩২একদিনের তারা, যিরূশালেমের পথে যাচ্ছিলেন এবং যীশু তাদের আগে আগে যাচ্ছিলেন, তখন শিষ্যরা অবাক হয়ে গেল; আর যারা পিছনে আসছিল, তারা ভয় পেলো। পরে তিনি আবার সেই বারো জনকে নিয়ে নিজের ওপর যা যা ঘটনা ঘটবে, তা তাদের বোলতে লাগলেন।
33 saying, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles;
৩৩তিনি বললেন, দেখ, আমরা যিরূশালেমে যাচ্ছি, আর মনুষ্যপুত্র প্রধান যাজকদের ও ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকদের হাতে সমর্পিত হবেন, তারা তাঁকে মৃত্যুদন্ডের জন্য দোষী করবে এবং অইহূদির হাতে তাঁকে তুলে দেবে।
34 and they will insult Him, and scourge Him, and spit upon Him, and put Him to death: but on the third day He shall rise again.
৩৪আর তারা তাঁকে ঠাট্টা করবে, তাঁর মুখে থুথু দেবে, তাঁকে চাবুক মারবে ও মেরে ফেলবে; আর তিনদিন পরে তিনি আবার বেঁচে উঠবেন।
35 Then come to Him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying, Master, we desire that thou wouldest do for us what we shall request:
৩৫পরে সিবদিয়ের দুই ছেলে যাকোব ও যোহন, তাঁর কাছে এসে বললেন, হে গুরু আমাদের ইচ্ছা এই, আমরা আপনার কাছে যা চাইবো, আপনি তা আমাদের জন্য করবেন।
36 and He said to them, What do ye desire me to do for you?
৩৬তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের ইচ্ছা কি? তোমাদের জন্য আমি কি করব?
37 they said unto Him, Grant that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left, in thy glory.
৩৭তারা উত্তরে বলল, আমাদেরকে এই আশীর্বাদ করুন, আপনি যখন রাজা ও মহিমান্বিত হবেন তখন আমদের একজন আপনার ডান দিকে, আর একজন আপনার বাম দিকে বসতে পারি।
38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask. Can ye drink of the cup, that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
৩৮যীশু তাদের বললেন, তোমরা কি চাইছ তোমরা তা জানো না। আমি যে পেয়ালায় পান করি, তাতে কি তোমরা পান করতে পার এবং আমি যে বাপ্তিষ্মের বাপ্তিষ্ম নেই, তাতে কি তোমরা বাপ্তিষ্ম নিতে পার?
39 And they said, We can. And Jesus said unto them, The cup indeed which I drink, ye shall drink of; and with the baptism, that I am baptized with, shall ye be baptized:
৩৯তারা বলল পারি। যীশু তাদেরকে বললেন, আমি যে পেয়ালায় পান করি, তাতে তোমরা পান করবে এবং আমি যে বাপ্তিষ্মের বাপ্তিষ্ম নেই, তাতে তোমরাও বাপ্তিষ্ম নেবে;
40 but to sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, but for whom it is prepared.
৪০কিন্তু যাদের জন্য জায়গা তৈরী করা হয়েছে, তাদের ছাড়া আর কাউকেও আমার ডান পাশে কি বাম পাশে বসতে দেওয়ার আমার অধিকার নেই।
41 And when the other ten heard it, they were provoked at James and John.
৪১এই কথা শুনে অন্য দশ জন যাকোব ও যোহনের উপর রেগে যেতে লাগলো।
42 But Jesus called them to Him, and said unto them, Ye know that those who rule among the Gentiles, lord it over them, and their grandees exercise authority upon them.
৪২কিন্তু যীশু তাদেরকে কাছে ডেকে বললেন, তোমরা জান, অইহূদিদের ভিতরে যারা শাসনকর্ত্তা বলে পরিচিত, তারা তাদের মনিব হয় এবং তাদের ভেতরে যারা মহান, তারা তাদের উপরে কর্তৃত্ব করে।
43 But it shall not be so among you: but whoever would be great among you shall be your minister;
৪৩তোমাদের মধ্যে সেরকম নয়; কিন্তু তোমাদের মধ্য যে কেউ মহান হতে চায়, সে তোমাদের সেবক হবে।
44 and whoever of you would be first shall be servant of all.
৪৪এবং তোমাদের মধ্য যে কেউ প্রধান হতে চায়, সে সকলের দাস হবে।
45 For the Son of man came not to be ministred unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many.
৪৫কারণ মনুষ্যপুত্র জগতে সেবা পেতে আসেনি, কিন্তু অপরের সেবা করতে এসেছে এবং মানুষের জন্য নিজের জীবন মুক্তির মূল্য হিসাবে দিতে এসেছেন।
46 And they came to Jericho: and as He was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging.
৪৬পরে তাঁরা যিরীহোতে এলেন। আর যীশু যখন নিজের শিষ্যদের ও অনেক লোকের সঙ্গে যিরীহো থেকে বের হয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন, তখন তীময়ের ছেলে বরতীময় নামে একজন অন্ধ ভিখারী পথের পাশে বসেছিল।
47 And hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
৪৭সে যখন নাসরতীয় যীশুর কথা শুনতে পেলো, তখন চেঁচিয়ে বলতে লাগলো হে যীশু, দায়ূদ-সন্তান, আমাদের প্রতি দয়া করুন।
48 And many rebuked him, that he might hold his peace: but he cried out so much the more, Thou son of David, have pity on me.
৪৮তখন অনেক লোক চুপ করো চুপ করো বলে তাকে ধমক দিল; কিন্তু সে আরও জোরে চেঁচাতে লাগলো, হে দায়ূদ-সন্তান, আমার ওপর দয়া করুন।
49 And Jesus stopt, and ordered him to be called: so they called the blind man, and said to him, Be of good courage, rise up, He calleth thee.
৪৯তখন যীশু থেমে বললেন, ওকে ডাক; তাতে লোকেরা সেই অন্ধকে ডেকে বলল, সাহস কর, ওঠ, যীশু তোমাকে ডাকছেন।
50 And he threw off his outer garment, and arose, and came to Jesus.
৫০তখন সে নিজের কাপড় ফেলে লাফ দিয়ে উঠে যীশুর কাছে গেল।
51 And Jesus said to him, What dost thou desire that I should do for thee? And the blind man said to Him, Lord, that I may recover my sight.
৫১যীশু তাকে বললেন, তুমি কি চাও? আমি তোমার জন্য কি করব? অন্ধ তাঁকে বলল, হে গুরুদেব, আমি দেখতে চাই।
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith has cured thee. And he immediately recovered his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
৫২যীশু তাকে বললেন, চলে যাও, তোমার বিশ্বাস তোমাকে সুস্থ করল। তাতে সে তক্ষুনি দেখতে পেল এবং পথ দিয়ে তাঁর পেছনে পেছনে চলতে লাগলো।
