Luke 13
1 There were present at the same time, some that told Him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
ಪಿಲಾತನು, ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೇ ಅವರ ಬಲಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಸಿದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಕೆಲವರು ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye think that these were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things?
ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಆ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವರು ಇಂಥಾ ಕೊಲೆಗೆ ಈಡಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವರಿಗಿಂತ ದೋಷಿಗಳೆಂದು ನೀವು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೀರೋ?
3 I tell you, No: but, unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
ಹಾಗಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ! ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರಂತೆಯೇ ನಾಶವಾಗುವಿರಿ.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, do ye think that they were sinners above all the inhabitants in Jerusalem?
ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಸಿಲೋವ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಪುರವು ಬಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದ ಆ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಜನರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ದೋಷಿಗಳೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೀರೋ?
5 I tell you, No: but, unless ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
ಹಾಗಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ! ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರಂತೆಯೇ ನಾಶವಾಗುವಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.
6 And He spake this parable, A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, but found none.
ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು: “ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ, ಒಂದು ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರವಿತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಒಂದೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
7 And he said to the vine-dresser, behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, and find none: cut it down, why should it cumber the ground?
ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ತೋಟ ಮಾಡುವವನಿಗೆ, ‘ನೋಡು, ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ನಾನು ಈ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಏನೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕು! ಇದು ಏಕೆ ನೆಲವನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಬೇಕು?’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
8 And he said to him, Sir, let it alone this year also, till I dig about it, and lay dung to it:
“ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವರ್ಷವೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಬಿಡು, ನಾನು ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅಗಿದು ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಾಕುವೆನು.
9 then perhaps it may bear fruit; if not, afterwards cut it down.
ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷ ಇದು ಫಲ ಫಲಿಸಿದರೆ, ಸರಿ! ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ, ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕು, ಎಂದನು.’”
10 And when He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath-day,
ಯೇಸು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು,
11 there was a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and utterly unable to lift herself upright.
ಆಗ, ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ದುರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ ರೋಗ ಪೀಡಿತಳಾಗಿ ನಡುಬಗ್ಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಳು. ಆಕೆ ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದಳು.
12 And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು ಆಕೆಗೆ, “ಅಮ್ಮಾ, ನೀನು ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ,
13 And He laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟರು, ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆಕೆಯು ನೆಟ್ಟಗಾದಳು ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿದಳು.
14 But the ruler of the synagogue, being provoked that Jesus had wrought a cure on the sabbath-day, said to the people, There are six days in which ye ought to work; on these therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath-day.
ಯೇಸು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಜನರಿಗೆ, “ಆರು ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಬಂದು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾಗಿರಿ, ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡ,” ಎಂದನು.
15 The Lord therefore answered him and said, Thou hypocrite, does not any of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall and lead him away to watering?
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಕಪಟಿಗಳೇ! ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಎತ್ತನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?
16 And might not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?
ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಸೈತಾನನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕಿದ ಈ ಬಂಧನದಿಂದ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡಿಸಬಾರದೇ?” ಎಂದರು.
17 Upon his saying this, all his adversaries were ashamed: but the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.
ಯೇಸು ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಅವರ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟರು, ಆದರೆ ಇತರರು, ಅವರಿಂದ ನಡೆದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹಿಮೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು.
18 Then said He, To what is the kingdom of God like, and to what shall I compare it?
ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು, “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ? ನಾನು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೋಲಿಸಲಿ?
19 It is like a grain of mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew, and became a great tree, and the birds of the air lodged in it's boughs.
ಅದು ಸಾಸಿವೆಕಾಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಲು, ಅದು ಬೆಳೆದು ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮರವಾಯಿತು. ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಅದರ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೂಡು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದವು,” ಎಂದರು.
20 And again He said, To what shall I compare the kingdom of God?
ಪುನಃ ಯೇಸು, “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಲಿ?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and put into three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
ಅದು ಹುಳಿಹಿಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹುಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಸುಮಾರು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೇಳು ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಹಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಸಿದಾಗ ಆ ಹಿಟ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹುಳಿಯಾಯಿತು,” ಎಂದರು.
22 And he went through the cities and villages teaching, as He journeyed towards Jerusalem.
ಯೇಸು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿದರು.
23 And one said to Him, Lord, are there but few that shall be saved?
ಒಬ್ಬನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವವರು ಕೆಲವರೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು, ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
24 But He said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate; for I tell you, many will desire to enter in, and shall not be able.
“ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾದ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡಿರಿ, ಅನೇಕರು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
25 When the master of the house shall have risen up and shut the door, and ye begin to stand without and knock at the door saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and He shall answer and say to you, I know you not, whence ye are:
ಮನೆಯಜಮಾನರು ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡರೆ, ನೀವು ಹೊರಗೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ, ‘ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ನಮಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ, “ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, ‘ನೀವು ಯಾರು? ಎಲ್ಲಿಯವರೋ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅರಿಯೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.
26 then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drank in thy presence,
“ಆಗ ನೀವು, ‘ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಊಟಮಾಡಿದೆವು, ಪಾನಮಾಡಿದೆವು, ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸುವಿರಿ.
27 and thou hast taught in our streets, But He will say, I tell you, I know you not, whence ye are; depart from me all ye workers of iniquity:
“ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು, ‘ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯವರೋ ನಾನರಿಯೆ, ಅನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರಾದ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು.
28 and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves shut out.
“ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ, ಇಸಾಕ, ಯಾಕೋಬ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣುವಾಗ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೋಳಾಟವೂ ಹಲ್ಲು ಕಡಿಯೋಣವೂ ಇರುವವು.
29 Yea they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
ಪೂರ್ವ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಉತ್ತರ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಗಳಿಂದ ಜನರು ಬಂದು, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
30 And behold, there are some last who shall be first, and there are first that shall be last.
ಆಗ ಕಡೆಯವರು ಮೊದಲನೆಯವರಾಗುವರು, ಮೊದಲನೆಯವರು ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗುವರು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
31 At the same time came some of the pharisees, and said to Him, Go out and depart hence, for Herod intends to kill thee.
ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಫರಿಸಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಹೆರೋದನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವನು,” ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
32 And He said to them, Go, tell that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and to-morrow; and in a little while I am to be perfected:
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ‘ನಾನು ಈ ದಿವಸ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಳೆ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಸಿದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ.
33 but I must procede to-day and to-morrow and the following; for it cannot be supposed that a prophet should be cut off but in Jerusalem.
ಆದರೂ ಈ ದಿವಸ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಳೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಡಿದ್ದು ನಾನು ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡಲೇಬೇಕು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಹೊರಗೆ ಕೊಲೆಗೀಡಾಗಬಾರದು!
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and ye would not?
“ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವಳೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದವರನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯುವವಳೇ, ಕೋಳಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಮರಿಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಾರಿ ಮನಸ್ಸಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I assure you ye shall not see me again till the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.
ನೋಡಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರಿದಾಗಿ ಹಾಳುಬೀಳುವುದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ‘ಕರ್ತದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು,’ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವ ಸಮಯವು ಬರುವ ತನಕ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದರು.
