John 10
1 Verily, verily I say unto you, He that entreth not into the sheep-fold by the door, but climbeth up some other way, is a thief and a robber.
De cierto les digo, que el que no entra por la puerta principal del redil a donde están las ovejas, sino que brinca el corral, es ladrón y fugitivo.
2 But he that cometh in by the door, is the shepherd of the sheep.
El que entra por la puerta es el pastor de las ovejas.
3 To him the porter openeth, and the sheep hear his voice; and He calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
El portero lo deja entrar; y las ovejas oyen su voz; él llama cada oveja por su nombre y las saca.
4 And when he bringeth forth his sheep, he goeth before them: and the sheep follow him; because they know his voice.
Cuando las saca a todas, va delante de ellas, y las ovejas lo siguen, porque conocen su voz.
5 But they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him; because they know not the voice of strangers.
No perseguirán a otro que no sea su pastor, sino que huirán de él, porque desconocen su voz.
6 This parable Jesus spake unto them; but they did not understand what He said to them.
En esto Jesús les estaba enseñando en forma de historia: pero lo que él dijo no estaba claro para ellos.
7 Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily I tell you, that I am the door of the sheep.
Entonces Jesús dijo otra vez: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que yo soy la puerta por donde pasan las ovejas.
8 All that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not regard them.
Todos los que vinieron antes de mí son ladrones y fugitivos; pero las ovejas no les prestaron atención.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved; and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Yo soy la puerta: si alguno entra por mí, tendrá salvación, será como una oveja que entra y sale, y obtendrá pastos.
10 The thief cometh only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and may have it in perfection.
El ladrón viene solo para robar las ovejas y darles muerte; viene para destruirlas. Yo he venido para que tengan vida y la tengan en abundancia.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.
Yo soy el buen pastor de las ovejas: el buen pastor da su vida por las ovejas.
12 But the hireling, that is not the true shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf seizeth them, and disperseth the sheep.
El que es guardia de paga, ve al lobo que viene y se va huyendo, lejos de las ovejas; y el lobo desciende sobre ellas y las envía en todas direcciones;
13 Now the hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
porque él es un sirviente, y no tiene interés en las ovejas.
14 I am the good shepherd, and I know my own sheep, and am known by them.
Yo soy el buen pastor; conozco a mis ovejas, y ellas me conocen a mí,
15 Even as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Así como el Padre me conoce y yo conozco al Padre; y estoy dando mi vida por las ovejas.
16 And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; so there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Y tengo otras ovejas que no son de este redil; seré su guía en la misma dirección, y oirán mi voz, y habrá un rebaño y un pastor.
17 For this doth the Father love me; because I lay down my life: that I may take it again.
Por esta razón soy amado por el Padre, porque renuncio a mi vida para poder tomarla nuevamente.
18 None taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself: I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment I have received from my Father.
Nadie me la quita; Yo renuncio a mi mismo Tengo poder para abandonarla, y tengo poder para tomarla de nuevo. Estas son órdenes que tengo de mi Padre.
19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews on account of these words.
Hubo una división entre los judíos a causa de estas palabras.
20 And many of them said, He is a demoniac, and is mad; why do ye hear Him?
Y algunos de ellos dijeron: Tiene un espíritu malo y está loco; ¿Por qué le escuchan?
21 Others said, These are not the words of a demoniac; can a demon open the eyes of the blind?
Otros dijeron: Estas no son las palabras de uno que tiene un espíritu malo. ¿Es posible que un espíritu maligno haga que las personas ciegas puedan recobrar la vista?
22 Now it was the feast of dedication at Jerusalem, and it was winter.
Luego vino la fiesta de la dedicación del Templo en Jerusalén, era invierno;
23 And Jesus was walking about the temple, in Solomon's portico.
Y Jesús estaba caminando en el Templo, por el Pórtico de Salomón.
24 Then the Jews came round Him, and said unto Him, How long dost thou hold us in suspense? If thou be the Messiah, tell us plainly.
Entonces los judíos se le acercaron, diciendo: ¿Hasta cuándo nos mantendrás en la duda? Si tu eres el Cristo, dínoslo de una vez.
25 Jesus answered them, I have told you, and ye do not believe me: though the works that I do in the name of my Father, testify of me.
Jesús dijo en respuesta: Lo he dicho y ustedes no creen: las obras que hago en nombre de mi Padre son testimonio de mí.
26 But ye believe not; because ye are not of my sheep: for as I said unto you, my sheep hear my voice,
Pero no tienen fe porque no son mis ovejas.
27 and I know them, and they follow me.
Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, y yo las conozco, y ellas me siguen;
29 My Father who gave them to me, is greater than all: and therefore none is able to force them out of my Father's hand.
Lo que mi Padre me ha dado, es más poderoso que todos; y nadie puede quitar nada de la mano del Padre.
30 I and the Father are one. Then the Jews again took up stones to stone Him.
Yo y mi Padre somos uno.
31 But Jesus said unto them,
Entonces los judíos tomaron piedras otra vez para apedrearlo.
32 Many good works have I shewn you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Jesús les dijo en respuesta: Te he permitido ver una serie de buenas obras del Padre; ¿Por cuál de esas obras me están apedreando?
33 The Jews answered Him, saying, We do not go about to stone thee for a good work, but for blasphemy; and because thou being a man makest thyself God.
Esta fue su respuesta: no te estamos apedreando por un buen trabajo sino por blasfemia; porque siendo hombre te haces Dios.
34 Jesus replied, Is it not written in your law, "I have said, ye are gods?"
En respuesta, Jesús dijo: ¿No hay un dicho en su ley? Yo Dije: ¿Ustedes son dioses?
35 And if it stiled them gods, to whom the word of God came, (and the scripture cannot be made void, )
Si dijo que eran dioses, a quienes vino la palabra de Dios y las Escrituras no pueden ser negadas,
36 do ye say of Him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?
¿Has dicho de aquel a quien el Padre santificó y envió al mundo? Tus palabras son malas. porque dije, ¿soy el Hijo de Dios?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
Si no estoy haciendo las obras de mi Padre, no tengan fe en mí;
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in Him.
Pero si las estoy haciendo, entonces tengan fe en las obras, incluso si no creen en mí; para que puedan ver claramente y estar seguros de que el Padre está en mí y yo estoy en el Padre.
39 Therefore they sought again to seize Him; but He escaped out of their hand, and went away again beyond Jordan,
Entonces otra vez intentaron llevarlo; pero se escapó de ellos.
40 to the place where John was at first baptizing, and there He abode.
Y volvió otra vez al otro lado del Jordán, al lugar donde primero dio el bautismo a Juan; y estuvo allí por un tiempo.
41 And many resorted to Him, and said, John wrought no miracle, but all that he said concerning this man, was true.
Y vino a él gran número de personas, diciendo: Juan no hizo ninguna señal, pero todo lo que Juan dijo de este hombre era verdad.
42 And many there believed on Him.
Y muchos creyeron en él allí.
