< Ephesians 5 >
1 Be ye therefore imitators of God as his dear children; and walk in love,
Tua ahikom note itna' tate bang in Pathian zui te na hi uh hi;
2 even as Christ hath loved us, and given Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of sweet perfume.
Christ in hong it a, Pathian tung ah ngim namtui biakpiakna atu in ama le ama a ki piak bang in, itna sung ah nungta vun.
3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or inordinate desire, let it not be even named among you; for so it becometh saints:
Ahihang mithiangtho te na hi zawk uh bangma in paktat na, thiantho ngawl na theampo, a hibale, duhop nate sia note sung ah khatvei zong son kul ngawl in om nawn heak tahen;
4 nor ribaldry, nor buffoonery, nor wanton jesting, which are not meet: but rather giving of thanks.
A lipkhap huai, mawmawt kampau na le ciammui na kammal pha ngawl te pau heak vun: tua te sang in lungdamna thu son zaw vun.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, (who is an idolater, ) hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Banghangziam cile pasal pumpi zuak te, a thiangtho ngawl te, milim bia te a kici duhop te sia Christ le Pathian kumpingam sung ah ngamhlua ngawl tu hi, ci na he uh hi.
6 Let no one deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Kuama in a mannung ngawl kammal te taw hong theam heak tahen: banghangziam cile hi thu te hang in thuni ngawl tate tung ah Pathian thin-ukna theng hi.
7 Therefore be not partners with them.
Tua ahikom note sia amate taw a ki pawl te na hi heak vun.
8 For ye were heretofore darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord:
Banghangziam cile note sia khuazing na hi ngei uh hi, ahihang tu in note sia Topa sung ah khuavak na hi uh hi: tua ahikom khuavak tate bang in nungta vun:
9 walk therefore as children of light, (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, )
Banghangziam cile Thaa i nga sia na theampo sung ah phatna, thutang suana le thuman a hihi;
10 approving what is well-pleasing to the Lord.
Topa tung ah a san thamman hi, ci na tetti na lak vun.
11 And have no communion with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Taciang bangma phattuamna om ngawl khuazing naseam te taw ki pawlkhopna nei heak vun, ahihang amate tek zaw tavun.
12 For it is a shame even to relate the things that are done by them in secret.
Banghangziam cile amate in kuama heak ngawl in a vawt uh nate sia son tu zong a mai uh zum hi.
13 But all things to be reproved: are made manifest by the light: for whatever doth make manifest, is light.
Ahihang tekna theampo te sia khuavak in kilangsak hi: banghangziam cile na theampo a kilangsak sia khuavak a hihi.
14 Wherefore He saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Tua ahikom, nang a mutthip pa awng, khanglo in a, thina pan tho in, taciang Christ in khuavak hong pia tu hi, ci hi.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise men:
Tua ahikom mi mawmaw te bang hi ngawl in, mipil te bang in kinging tak in nungta vun,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Hun tan vun, banghangziam cile ni te sia pha ngawl hi.
17 Wherefore be not thoughtless, but consider what is the will of the Lord.
Tua ahikom mawmaw heak vun, ahihang Topa deina a telthiam te hi zaw tavun.
18 And be not drunk with wine, in which there is riotous excess; but be filled with the Spirit:
Taciang sapittui kham heak vun, tua thu sia val thei hi; ahihang Thaa taw kidim zaw vun;
19 speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord:
Noma le noma Psalm la, pokna la le tha la te taw ki paupui vun, na thinsung uh pan Topa tung ah lasa in oai vun;
20 always giving thanks for all to God even the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ:
I Topa Jesus Christ min taw Pa Pathian tung ah a tawntung in na theampo atu in lungdamko vun;
21 submitting yourselves to each other in the fear of God.
Pathian zatakna sung ah khat le khat thu ki ni tavun.
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord:
Zi te awng, Topa tung bangma in na pasal uh te tung ah noma le noma ki ap vun.
23 for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and the saviour of that body.
Banghangziam cile pasal sia zi i lutang a hihi, tasia bangma in Christ sia pawlpi i lutang a hihi: taciang Ama sia a pumpi tanpa a hihi.
24 As the church then is subject to Christ, so also should wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Tua ahikom pawlpi in Christ thu a nit bang in, zi te in na theampo sung ah a pasal te thu ni tahen.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave up Himself for it:
Pasal te awng, Christ in pawlpi a it bangma in, na zi te uh it vun, taciang Christ in pawlpi atu in a nuntakna pia a;
26 to sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Tabang in Ama in tui taw a sil bang in Pathian thu taw thiangtak in thiangthosak tu ahizong,
27 that He might prepare it for Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it should be holy and unblameable.
Tabang in a minthang pawlpi sia a nin bang ngawl, a hibale a vunton ngawl, a hibale tabang na dang tatuam om ngawl, ahihang a thiangtho le paubang ngawl in Ama tung ah a ap thei natu a hihi.
28 Men ought so to love their wives, as their own bodies: he that loveth his wife, loveth himself.
Tua ahikom pasal te in a zi te sia amate pumpi a it bang in a it tu a hihi. A zi a it peuma in ama le ama ki it a hihi.
29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord also doth the church:
Banghangziam cile pasal in, ama pumpi ngaimaw ngei ngawl hi; ahihang Topa in pawlpi vak in a khoi bangma in, a zi vak in khoi hi:
30 for we are members of his body, as if taken out of his flesh, and of his bones, as Eve was out of Adam's.
Banghangziam cile eite sia Ama pumpi sung ah pumpikhen te, a pumpi le a ngu te i hihi.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Hi thu hang in pasal in a pa le a nu nusia tu a, a zi beal tu hi, taciang amate ni sia pumkhat hi tu hi.
32 This mystery is great: but I speak concerning Christ and the Church.
Hi thu sia thuku lianpi a hihi: ahihang Christ le pawlpi thu taw kisai in kong son a hihi.
33 Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and let the wife reverence her husband.
Ahihang note sung ah a tuan in khatsim in a zi sia ama le ama a ki it bang in ahizong; taciang a zi in zong a pasal zakta tahen.
