Ephesians 2

1 And you hath he made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins,

நீங்களோ ஒருகாலத்தில் உங்களுடைய மீறுதல்களிலும், பாவங்களிலும் மரித்தவர்களாக இருந்தீர்கள்.

2 in which ye formerly walked after the manner of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that still operates in the children of disobedience: (aiōn g165)

அப்பொழுது நீங்கள், இந்த உலகத்தின் வழிமுறைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு ஆகாயத்து ஆட்சியின் அதிகாரிக்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடந்தீர்கள். அந்த தீய ஆவியே இப்பொழுது கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களில் செயலாற்றுகிறது. (aiōn g165)

3 among whom also we were all conversant heretofore in our carnal desires, indulging the appetites of the flesh and of our imaginations; and were by nature children of wrath, even as others.

ஒருகாலத்தில் நாம் எல்லோரும் அவர்களிடையே வாழ்ந்தோம். நமது மாம்சத்திலிருந்து எழும் இச்சைகளைத் தீர்த்துக்கொள்கிறவர்களாகவும், மாம்சத்திலிருந்து எழும் ஆசைகளின்படியும் யோசனைகளின்படியும், நடக்கிறவர்களாகவும் இருந்தோம். மற்றவர்களைப் போலவே, இறைவனுடைய கோபத்துக்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாய் இருந்தோம்.

4 But God being rich in mercy, through his great love wherewith He loved us,

ஆனால் இரக்கத்தில் ஐசுவரியமுள்ள இறைவன், நமக்கு மிகுந்த அன்பு காண்பித்தார்.

5 hath made us alive in Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses, (for by grace ye are saved) and hath raised us up together,

எப்படியென்றால், நாம் மீறுதல்களினால் இறந்தவர்களாய் இருந்தபோதும், நம்மை கிறிஸ்துவுடன் உயிர்ப்பித்தார். இறைவனுடைய கிருபையினாலேயே நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டீர்கள்.

6 and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

இறைவன் கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட நம்மை உயிருடன் எழுப்பி, கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் நம்மைத் தம்முடனே பரலோகத்தின் உயர்வான இடங்களில் அமரும்படி செய்தார்.

7 That in the ages to come He might shew the superabundant riches of his grace, in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. (aiōn g165)

இனிவரும் காலங்களிலும், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் நமக்குக் காட்டிய தயவின்மூலம், இறைவனுடைய கிருபையின் அளவற்ற நிறைவை காண்பிக்கும்படியாகவே இதைச் செய்தார். (aiōn g165)

8 For by grace ye are saved, through faith: and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not by works, that no one may boast:

விசுவாசத்தின்மூலமாய், கிருபையினால் நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டீர்கள். இந்த இரட்சிப்பு உங்களால் உண்டானதல்ல. இது இறைவனுடைய கொடையே ஆகும்.

9 for we are his workmanship,

இந்த இரட்சிப்பு நற்செயல்களினால் வந்தது அல்ல. ஆகையால் இதைக்குறித்து ஒருவரும் பெருமைப்பாராட்ட முடியாது.

10 created in Christ Jesus unto good works, for which God before prepared us, that we might walk in them.

ஏனெனில், நாங்கள் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் படைக்கப்பட்ட இறைவனின் வேலைப்பாடுகளாய் இருக்கிறோம். நல்ல செயல்களைச் செய்யும்படி, இறைவனால் முன்னதாகவே ஆயத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்டபடியே நம்மை ஏற்பாடு செய்திருக்கிறார்.

11 Wherefore remember that ye were formerly Gentiles in the flesh, called uncircumcision by that which is called circumcision made by hands in the flesh;

ஆகையால், “விருத்தசேதனம் செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறோம்” என்று தங்களை அழைத்துக்கொண்டவர்கள், பிறப்பினால் யூதரல்லாதவர்களாய் இருந்த உங்களை, “விருத்தசேதனம் பெறாதவர்கள்” என்று உங்களை அழைத்தார்கள் என்பதை நீங்கள் நினைவில்கொள்ளுங்கள். இந்த விருத்தசேதனம், மனிதரின் கைகளால் உடலில் செய்யப்பட்டது.

12 and ye were at that time without Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus,

அக்காலத்தில் நீங்கள் எப்படிப்பட்டவர்களாய் இருந்தீர்கள் என்பதை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவிலிருந்து புறம்பானவர்களாய், இறைவனின் சுதந்தரமாகிய இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு உட்படாதவர்களாகவும், வாக்குக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட உடன்படிக்கையின் வாக்குத்தத்தங்களை அறியாதவர்களாகவும் இருந்தீர்கள். நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்ப்பு இல்லாதவர்களாகவும், இறைவன் இல்லாதவர்களாகவுமே இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ்ந்தீர்கள்.

13 ye, who were formerly afar off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

ஆனால் முன்பு ஒருகாலத்தில் தூரமாய் இருந்த நீங்கள், இப்பொழுதோ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில், கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தினாலே இறைவனுக்கு சமீபமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

14 For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and removed the wall of partition from between us;

கிறிஸ்துவே நமது சமாதானத்தின் வழியானார். அவரே இருபிரிவினரையும் ஒன்றாக்கி, தடையாயிருந்த பகைமைச் சுவரை தமது உடலின் மூலமாக அழித்தார்.

15 having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that He might form the two into one new man, in Himself, so making peace;

கிறிஸ்து தமது உடலினால் மோசேயின் சட்டத்தை, அதின் கட்டளைகளோடும் விதிமுறைகளோடும் நீக்கியதினால், இந்த இருபிரிவினரையும் தம்மில் ஒரு புதிய மனிதனாக உருவாக்கி, சமாதானத்தை ஏற்படுத்தினார்.

16 and that He might reconcile both in one body unto God, by the cross, having thereby slain the enmity:

சிலுவையினால் இருபிரிவினரையும் ஒரே உடலாக இறைவனுடன் ஒப்புரவாக்குவதே அவருடைய நோக்கமாயிருந்தது. கிறிஸ்து தமது சிலுவையினால் அவர்களது பகைமையைச் சாகடித்தார்.

17 and He came and preached peace to you that were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

இவ்விதமாய் அவர் தூரமாயிருந்த உங்களுக்கும், சமீபமாய் இருந்த அவர்களுக்கும் நற்செய்தியின் சமாதானத்தைப் பிரசங்கித்தார்.

18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

ஆகவே கிறிஸ்து மூலமாக நாங்கள் இரு பிரிவினரும் ஒரே ஆவியானவரினால் பிதாவின் முன்னிலையில் வரக்கூடியவர்களாய் இருக்கிறோம்.

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the houshold of God;

ஆகையால் யூதரல்லாதவர்களாகிய நீங்கள் இனிமேலும் அந்நியரும் அறியாதவரும் அல்ல, இப்பொழுது நீங்களும் இறைவனுடைய மக்களுடன் குடியுரிமை பெற்றவர்களாயும், இறைவனுடைய குடும்பத்தின் அங்கத்தினர்களாயும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone:

நீங்களும் அப்போஸ்தலர், இறைவாக்கினர் ஆகியோரை அஸ்திபாரமாயும், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவையே மூலைக்கல்லாயும் கொண்டு கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

21 in whom the whole building fitly joined together increaseth to an holy temple in the Lord:

கிறிஸ்துவிலேயே அந்த முழுக்கட்டிடமும் ஒன்றாய் இணைக்கப்பட்டு, கர்த்தரில் ஒரு பரிசுத்த ஆலயமாக இருக்கும்படி வளர்ச்சி பெறுகிறது.

22 in whom ye also are built up together for an habitation of God by the Spirit.

நீங்களும்கூட கிறிஸ்துவில், இறைவன் தமது ஆவியானவரினால் குடியிருக்கும் இடமாக சேர்த்துக் கட்டப்படுகிறீர்கள்.
