Acts 20
1 And after the tumult was over, Paul sent for the disciples to him, and having embraced them, departed to go into Macedonia.
১সেই গন্ডগোল শেষ হওয়ার পরে পৌল শিষ্যদের ডেকে পাঠালেন এবং উৎসাহ দিলেন ও শুভেচ্ছা সহ বিদায় নিয়ে মাকিদনিয়াতে যাবার জন্য বেরিয়ে পড়লেন।
2 And having passed through those parts, and given them much exhortation, he came into Greece.
২পরে যখন সেই অঞ্চল দিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন তখন যেতে যেতে নানা কথার মধ্যে দিয়ে শিষ্যদের উৎসাহ দিতে দিতে গ্রীস দেশে এসে পৌঁছলেন।
3 And when he had spent three months there, the Jews having laid wait for him as he was going to embark for Syria, he determined to return by Macedonia.
৩সেই জায়গায় তিনমাস কাটানোর পর যখন তিনি জলপথে সুরিয়া দেশে যাবার জন্য প্রস্তুত হলেন তখন ইহুদীরা তাদের বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র করাতে তিনি ঠিক করলেন যে তিনি মাকিদনিয়া দিয়ে ফিরে যাবেন।
4 And there accompanied him to Asia, Sopater the Berean, and of the Thessalonians Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy: and the Asiatics,
৪বিরয়া শহরের পুর্হের পুত্র সোপাত্র, থিষোলনীয় আরিষ্টার্খ ও সিকুন্দ, দার্ব্বী শহরের গায় তীমথিয় এবং এশিয়ার তুখিক ও ত্রফিম এঁরা সকলে তাঁর সঙ্গে গেলেন।
5 Tychicus and Trophimus, who went before and stayed for us at Troas.
৫কিন্তু এঁরা এগিয়ে গিয়েও আমাদের জন্য এোয়া শহরে অপেক্ষা করছিলেন।
6 And after the days of unleavened bread we sailed from Philippi, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we spent seven days.
৬পরে তাড়ীশূন্য রুটি র অনুষ্ঠান শেষ হলে আমরা ফিলিপী থেকে জলপথে গিয়ে পাঁচ দিনের এোয়াতে তাঁদের কাছে উপস্থিত হলাম সেখানে সাত দিন ছিলাম।
7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples were assembled together to break bread, Paul being about to depart on the morrow, preached unto them, and continued his discourse till midnight.
৭সপ্তাহের প্রথম দিনের আমরা রুটি ভাঙার জন্য একত্রিত হলে পৌল পরদিন সেখান থেকে চলে যাবার জন্য পরিকল্পনা করায় তিনি শিষ্যদের কাছে মধ্যরাএি পর্যন্ত বক্তৃতা দিয়েছিলেন।
8 And there were many lamps in the upper room where they were assembled.
৮আমরা যে ওপরের ঘরেতে সবাই একত্রিত হয়েছিলাম সেখানে অনেক প্রদীপ ছিল।
9 And a young man named Eutychus, who sat in a window, falling into a deep sleep, as Paul was discoursing for a long time, sunk down and fell from the third story, and was taken up dead.
৯আর উতুখ নামে একজন যুবক জানালার ধারে বসেছিল, সে গভীর ঘুমে মগ্ন হয়ে পড়েছিল; এবং পৌল আরও অনেকক্ষণ ধরে বক্তৃতা দিলে সে গভীর ভাবে ঘুমিয়ে পড়ায় তিনতলা থেকে নীচে পড়ে গেলে, তাতে লোকেরা তাকে মৃত অবস্থায় তুলে নিয়ে গেল।
10 And Paul went down and leaned over him, and took him up and said, Be not disturbed; for his life is in him.
১০তখন পৌল নেমে গিয়ে তার গায়ের ওপরে পড়লেন, ও তাকে জড়িয়ে ধরলেন এবং বললেন তোমরা চিৎকার করো না; কারণ এর মধ্যে এখনও প্রাণ আছে।
11 Then he went up again, and having broken bread and eaten, and conversed with them a considerable time, even till break of day, he departed.
১১পরে তিনি ওপরে গিয়ে রুটি ভেঙে ভোজন করে অনেকক্ষণ, এমনকি, রাত্রি থেকে সকাল পর্যন্ত কথাবার্তা করলেন, তারপর তিনি সেখান থেকে চলে গেলেন।
12 And they brought in the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.
১২আর তারা সেই বালকটিকে জীবিত অবস্থায় ফিরে পেয়ে অসাধারণ বিশ্বাস অর্জন করলো।
13 But we went before to the ship, and sailed to Assos, being there to take in Paul: for so he had appointed, designing himself to go on foot.
১৩আর আমরা আগে গিয়ে জাহাজে উঠে, আসস শহরের উদ্দেশ্যে যাত্রা করলাম এবং সেখান থেকে পৌলকে তুলে নেওয়ার জন্য মন স্থির করলাম; এটা তিনি নিজেই ইচ্ছা করেছিলেন, কারণ তিনি স্থলপথে যাবেন বলে পরিকল্পনা করেছিলেন।
14 And as soon as he joined us at Assos, we took him in and came to Mitylene.
১৪পরে তিনি আসে আমাদের সঙ্গে এলে আমরা তাঁকে তুলে নিয়ে মিতুলীনী শহরে এলাম।
15 And sailing from thence we came the next day over against Chios; and the day following we arrived at Samos, and stopping at Trogyllium, we came the day after to Miletus.
১৫সেখান থেকে জাহাজ খুলে পরদিন খীয়র দ্বীপের সামনে উপস্থিত হলাম; দ্বিতীয় দিনের সামস দ্বীপে গেলাম, পরদিন মিলিত শহরে এলাম।
16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, that he might not spend time in Asia: for he endeavoured, if it were possible, to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
১৬কারণ পৌল ইফিষ ফেলে যেতে স্থির করেছিলেন, যাতে এশিয়াতে তাঁর বেশি দিন কাটাতে না হয়; তিনি তাড়াতাড়ি করছিলেন যেন সাধ্য হলে পঞ্চসপ্তমীর দিন যিরুশালেমে উপস্থিত থাকতে পারেন।
17 But he sent from Miletus to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
১৭মিলিত থেকে তিনি ইফিষে লোক পাঠিয়ে মণ্ডলীর প্রাচীনবর্গকে ডেকে আনলেন।
18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know in what manner I behaved among you all the time, from the first day that I came into Asia.
১৮তাঁরা সবাই তাঁর কাছে উপস্থিত হলে তিনি তাঁদেরকে বললেন, তোমরা জান, এশিয়া দেশে এসে, আমি প্রথম দিন পর্যন্ত তোমাদের সঙ্গে কীভাবে দিন কাটিয়েছি,
19 Serving the Lord with all humility, and many tears, and trials which befel me by the ambushes of the Jews.
১৯পুরোপুরি নম্র মনে ও অশ্রুপাতের সাথে এবং ইহুদীদের ষড়যন্ত্র থেকে উৎপন্ন নানা পরীক্ষার মধ্যে থেকে প্রভুর সেবাকার্য্য করেছি;
20 And how I with-held nothing that was useful, but have declared it to you, and have taught you publicly and from house to house:
২০মঙ্গল জনক কোনও কথা গোপন না করে তোমাদের সকলকে জানাতে এবং সাধারনের মধ্যে ও ঘরে ঘরে শিক্ষা দিতে, দ্বিধাবোধ করিনি;
21 testifying both to the Jews and Greeks, repentance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
২১ঈশ্বরের প্রতি মন ফেরানো এবং আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের উপর বিশ্বাস বিষয়ে যিহূদী ও গ্রীকদের কাছে সাক্ষ্য দিয়ে আসছি।
22 And now, being constrained by the spirit, behold I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will befal me there:
২২আর এখন দেখ, আমি আত্মাতে বদ্ধ হয়ে যিরূশালেমে যাচ্ছি; সেখানে আমার প্রতি কি কি ঘটবে, তা জানি না।
23 save that the holy Spirit testifieth in every city, that bonds and afflictions await me.
২৩এইটুকু জানি, পবিত্র আত্মা প্রত্যেক শহরে আমার কাছে এই বলে সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছেন যে, বন্ধন ও ক্লেশ আমার অপেক্ষা করছে।
24 But none of these things move me, nor do I account my life dear, so that I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
২৪কিন্তু আমি নিজ প্রাণকেও কিছুর মধ্যে গণ্য করি না, আমার নিজের প্রাণকে মূল্যবান বলে মনে করি না, যেন আমি ঈশ্বরের দেওয়া পথে শেষ পর্যন্ত দৌড়োতে পারি এবং ঈশ্বরের অনুগ্রহের সুসমাচারের জন্য সাক্ষ্য দেওয়ার যে সেবা কাজের দায়িত্ব প্রভু যীশুর থেকে পেয়েছি, তা শেষ করতে পারি।
25 And now behold I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
২৫এবং দেখো, আমি জানি যে, যাদের মধ্যে আমি সেই রাজ্যের প্রচার করে বেড়িয়েছি, সেই তোমরা সবাই আমার মুখ আর দেখতে পাবে না;
26 Wherefore I call you to witness this day, that I am clear from the blood of all men.
২৬এই জন্যে আজ তোমাদের কাছে এই সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে, সবার রক্তের দায় থেকে আমি শুচি;
27 For I have not failed to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
২৭কারণ আমি তোমাদের ঈশ্বরের সকল পরিকল্পনা জানাতে দ্বিধাবোধ করিনি।
28 Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the holy Spirit hath appointed you bishops, to feed the church of God, which He purchased with his own blood.
২৮তোমরা নিজেদের বিষয়ে সাবধান এবং পবিত্র আত্মা তোমাদের পরিচয় করার জন্য যাদের মধ্যে পালক করেছেন, সেই সমস্ত পালের বিষয়ে সাবধান হও, ঈশ্বরের সেই মণ্ডলীকে পরিচর্য্যা কর, যাকে তিনি নিজের রক্ত দিয়ে কিনেছেন।
29 For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
২৯আমি জানি আমি চলে যাওয়ার পর দুরন্ত নেকড়ে তোমাদের মধ্যে আসবে এবং পালের প্রতি মমতা করবে না,
30 And from among yourselves shall men arise, speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.
৩০এবং তোমাদের মধ্যে থেকে কোনো কোনো লোক উঠে শিষ্যদের নিজেদের কাছে টেনে নেওয়ার জন্য বিপরীত কথা বলবে।
31 Watch therefore, remembering that for the space of three years I ceased not by night and by day to warn every one with tears.
৩১সুতরাং জেগে থাকো, মনে রাখবে আমি তিন বৎসর ধরে রাত দিন চোখের জলের সাথে প্রত্যেককে চেতনা দিতে বন্ধ করে নি।
32 And now, my brethren, I recommend you to God, and to the word of his grace: who is able to edify you, and to give you an inheritance among all that are sanctified.
৩২এবং এখন ঈশ্বরের কাছে ও তাঁর অনুগ্রহের বাক্যের কাছে তোমাদের সমর্পণ করলাম, তিনি তোমাদের গেঁথে তুলতে ও পবিত্রীকৃত সকলের মধ্যে দায়াধিকার দিতে সক্ষম।
33 I have coveted no one's silver, or gold, or apparel:
৩৩আমি কারও রূপা বা সোনা বা কাপড়ের উপরে লোভ করিনি।
34 and ye yourselves know that these hands have ministred to my necessities, and to those that were with me.
৩৪তোমরা নিজেরাও জানো, আমার নিজের এবং আমার সাথীদের অভাব দূর করার জন্য এই দুই হাত দিয়ে পরিষেবা করেছি।
35 I have shewed you in all things, that by labouring thus ye ought to support the infirm; and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
৩৫সমস্ত বিষয়ে আমি তোমাদেরকে দৃষ্টান্ত দেখিয়েছি যে, এই ভাবে পরিশ্রম করে দুর্বলদের সাহায্য করতে হবে এবং প্রভু যীশুর বাক্য স্মরণ করা উচিত এবং তিনি নিজে বলেছেন, গ্রহণ করা অপেক্ষা বরং দান করা ধন্য হওয়ার বিষয়।
36 And when he had said these things, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
৩৬এই কথা বলে তিনি হাঁটু পেতে সকলের সঙ্গে প্রার্থনা করলেন।
37 And they were all much grieved, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him: sorrowing most of all at the word which he spake,
৩৭তাতে সকলে খুবই কাঁদলেন এবং পৌলের গলা ধরে তাঁকে চুম্বন করতে লাগলেন;
38 that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.
৩৮সর্বাপেক্ষা তাঁর উক্ত এই কথার জন্য অধিক দুঃখ করলেন যে, তারা তাঁর মুখ আর দেখতে পাবে না। পরে জাহাজ পর্যন্ত তাঁকে ছেড়ে আসতে গেলেন।
