Acts 11
1 Now the apostles and brethren that were in Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, those that were of the circumcision contended with him, saying,

3 Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised and didst eat with them.

4 But Peter began and laid the matter in order before them,
Petulo walatatika kubambila cena bintu byalenshika. Walambeti,
5 saying, I was praying in the city of Joppa; and in a trance I saw a vision, some thing like a large sheet descending from heaven, let down by the four corners; and it came close to me.
“Ame ndalikupaila mu munshi wa Yopa. Popelapo mucimbonimboni ndalabona cintu calikwisa panshi kufuma kwilu. Calikuboneketi cikwisa cinene casungwa nkokola shina, calesa mpondalikuba.
6 And looking stedfastly upon it, I observed four-footed creatures and wild beasts, and reptiles, and fowls of the air.
Mpondalalangishisha, ndalabonamo banyama bamucisuwa ne beshikukalaba kayi ne bikeni bishikuluka.
7 And I heard a voice saying to me, Rise, Peter, kill and eat.
Ndalanyumfwa maswi akung'ambileti, ‘Petulo, punduka, koshina, ulye.’
8 But I said, By no means, Lord: for nothing polluted or unclean hath ever entered into my mouth.
Nomba ndalambeti, ‘Sobwe, Nkambo! Ame nkanandyapo cintu cabula kuswepa, cishikusesemya kufumina na nililyoni.’
9 And the voice answered me a second time from heaven, What God hath cleansed do not thou call polluted.
Nomba liswi lyalafuma kwilu lyalamba kayi eti, ‘Bintu mbyalaswepeshe Lesa, obe kotambeti byashilila.’
10 And this was done thrice: and then they were all drawn up again to heaven.

11 And behold at that very time there came three men to the house where I was, sent from Cesarea to me.

12 And the Spirit ordered me to go with them, doubting nothing. And these six brethren also came with me, and we entred into the man's house;
Mushimu Uswepa walang'ambileti, kantakana kuya nabo sobwe. Aba banse basanu ne umo nabo balanshindikila, mpaka twalengila mu ng'anda ya Kolonelyo.
13 and he told us how he had seen an angel in his house, standing and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and fetch hither Simon,
Neye walatwambila mbuli ncalabona mungelo kaliwemana mu ng'anda yakendi, ne kumwambileti, ‘Kotuma bantu ku Yopa benga bakuwe Shimoni, ukute kukwiweti Petulo.
14 whose sirname is Peter, who will tell thee things, by which thou shalt be saved and all thy family.
Nendi nakwambile maswi alupulusho lwakobe, ne bamung'nda yakobe bonse.’
15 And when I began to speak, the holy Spirit fell on them, even as it did upon us at the beginning.
Lino mpondalatatika kwamba, Mushimu Uswepa walesa palyendibo, mbuli ncewalesa pali njafwe pasa pakutatika.
16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the holy Spirit.
Popelapo ndalanuka maswi asa ngalamba Mwami Yesu akwambeti, ‘Yohane walikubatisha ne menshi, nomba amwe nimukabatishiwe ne Mushimu Uswepa.’
17 As therefore God gave to them the like gift that He did to us, upon our believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I should be able to withstand God?
Neco na Lesa walabapa cipo cimocimo mbuli ncalatupa afwe mpotwalashoma Mwami Yesu Klistu, ame njame bani kwambeti ndimukanishe Lesa?”
18 And when they heard these things they acquiesced, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God given to the Gentiles also repentance unto life.
Mpobalanyumfweco basa balikutotekeshana ne Petulo, balacileka kumutoteka. Balatembaula Lesa ne kwambeti, “Anu ekwambeti Lesa labapa naboyo bantu batamwinshi, colwe cakwambeti bashiye micito yabo yaipa ne kutambula buyumi.”
19 Now they that were dispersed by the trouble, which arose about Stephen, travelled as far as Phenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but the Jews only.
Basa bashoma Klistu, balapalangana cebo camapensho alabuka palufu lwa Stefano. Balakashika ku Fenishiya, ku Saipulasi ne ku Antiyokeya. Aba bantu nkabali kukambaukila muntu uliyense sobwe, nsombi Bayuda bonka.
20 But some of them were Cyprians, and Cyrenians, who when they came to Antioch, discoursed with the Grecians also, preaching the Lord Jesus.
Palikuba bantu nabambi balafumina ku Saipulasi, neku Kulene. Aba balashika ku Antiyokeya, kabaya kukambauka ku Bagiliki naboyo, Mulumbe Waina ulambanga sha Mwami Yesu.
21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
Ngofu sha Mwami Lesa shalikubanyamfwilisha, cakwinseti bantu bangi balashoma ne kusandukila kuli Mwami Yesu.
22 And the report of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem; and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
Makani awa mpwalanyumfwika ku mubungano waku Yelusalemu, balatumako Banabasi ku Antiyokeya.
23 Who, when he was come, and saw the grace of God, rejoiced, and exhorted them all with steadiness of heart to adhere to the Lord.
Mpwalashika ne kubona Lesa ncalapa colwe abo bantu, walakondwa ne kubayuminisheti batwalilile kushoma Mwami Yesu ne myoyo yabo yonse.
24 For he was a good man, and full of the holy Spirit, and of faith: and many were added unto the Lord.
Banabasi walikuba muntu walulama, walikutanguninwa ne Mushimu Uswepa ne lushomo lunene, neco bantu bangi balaletwa kuli Mwami Yesu.
25 Then Barnabas departed to Tarsus, to seek Saul: and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch.
Kufumapo Banabasi walaya ku Taliso, kuya kulangaula Saulo.
26 And they assembled in the church a whole year, and taught much people: and the disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
Mpwalamucana Saulo, walesa nendi pamo ku Antiyokeya. Bonse pamo balekala mu mubungano waku Antiyokeya, ne kwiyisha bantu bangi kwacaka cimo. Uku ku Antiyokeya, enkobatatikila beshikwiya kukwiweti baklistu.
27 And in these days came down prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch.
Mu masubayo kwalashika bashinshimi ba Lesa nabambi ku Antiyokeya balafumina ku Yelusalemu.
28 And one of them, named Agabus, stood up and signified by the Spirit, that there would be a great famine over all the earth: which accordingly came to pass in the reign of Claudius Cesar.
Naumbi mushishimi lina lyakendi Agabu, walemana ne kushinshima kupitila mu mushimu wa Lesa, kwambeti mucishi conse mulakabanga nsala inene. Nsala iyi yalabako pacindi Kulodiyasi mpwalikuba mwami mukulene waku Loma.
29 And each of the disciples, according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren who dwelt in Judea.
Cindici baklistu balayeyeti uliyense atumeko lunyamfwo kubanse balikwikala mu Yudeya, uliyense atume kwelana mbuli ncabele pang'anda, ico ncelela kukonsha.
30 Which they also did, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
Mpobalapwa kubunganya bipo, balapa Banabasi ne Saulo kwambeti batwale ku bamakulene ba mubungano waku Yelusalemu.
