< Acts 10 >

1 Now there was a certain man at Cesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band: a pious man,
ⲁ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲕⲁⲓⲥⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩϩⲉⲕⲁⲧⲟⲛⲧⲁⲣⲭⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲥⲡⲓⲣⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧϩⲓⲧⲁⲗⲓⲕⲏ
2 and one that feared God, with all his house; giving also much alms to the people, and praying to God continually.
ⲃ̅ⲉⲩⲉⲩⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉϣⲁϥⲣϩⲁϩ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲡⲥ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ
3 He evidently saw in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius!
ⲅ̅ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡⲯⲓⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲉ
4 and he looking earnestly at him, and being afraid, said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up as a memorial before God.
ⲇ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϭⲱϣⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ ⲁϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲕϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲣ ⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲙⲡⲉⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
5 And now send men to Joppa, and fetch hither one Simon, whose sirname is Peter.
ⲉ̅ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲙⲁϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲛⲅⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ
6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea-side: he shall tell thee what thou must do.
ⲋ̅ⲉϥⲟⲩⲏϩ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ϫⲉ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲃⲁⲕϣⲁⲁⲣ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ
7 As soon as the angel, that spake to Cornelius, was departed, he called two of his domestic servants, and a devout soldier, that constantly attended him.
ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲛⲣⲙⲛⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲡⲣⲟⲥⲕⲁⲣⲧⲉⲣⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
8 And when he had related all to them, he sent them to Joppa.
ⲏ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϫⲉ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ ⲉⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ
9 On the morrow, while they were on their journey, and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the top of the house to pray, about the sixth hour.
ⲑ̅ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϫⲉⲛⲉⲡⲱⲣ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡⲥⲟ
10 And he was very hungry, and desired something to eat: but while they were getting it ready, he fell into a trance; and saw heaven opened,
ⲓ̅ⲁϥϩⲕⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲣϩⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲃⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲩⲉⲅⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲥ ϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ
11 and some thing descending to him, like a great sheet tied at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲟⲩⲏⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲥⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲟⲡ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛϩⲃⲟⲥ ⲉⲩⲭⲁⲗⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ
12 in which were all kinds of four-footed creatures, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲧⲃⲛⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϫⲁⲧϥⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲙⲛ ⲛϩⲁⲗⲁⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲡⲉ
13 And there was a voice which said to him, Rise, Peter, kill and eat.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲥⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲉ ϣⲱⲱⲧ ⲛⲅⲟⲩⲱⲙ
14 But Peter said, By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing polluted or unclean.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲱⲣ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲉϥϫⲁϩⲙ ⲏ ⲛⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ
15 And the voice said to him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, do not thou account polluted.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲧⲉⲥⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲙⲉϩⲥⲉⲡⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲃⲃⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲙⲡⲣϫⲁϩⲙⲟⲩ
16 This was done thrice, and the vessel was taken up again into heaven.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛϣⲙⲧⲥⲱⲱⲡ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲡⲉⲥⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ ⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ
17 Now while Peter was doubting in himself what might be the meaning of the vision which he had seen, behold the men that were sent from Cornelius, having enquired for Simon's house, stood at the door;
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲡⲟⲣⲣⲓ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲓϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲁⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲣⲙⲡⲣⲟ
18 and called, and asked, if Simon sirnamed Peter lodged there.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ
19 And as Peter was pondering upon the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold there are three men enquiring for thee:
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡϩⲟⲣⲟⲙⲁ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲥⲉϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ
20 arise therefore and go down, and go along with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them.
ⲕ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛⲅⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲅⲇⲓⲁⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ
21 Then Peter went down to the men that were sent to him from Cornelius, and said, Behold I am the person whom ye seek: what is the cause for which ye are come?
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲗⲟⲓϭⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲛⲉⲓ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧⲥ
22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a righteous man, and one that feareth God, and of a good character among all the nation of the Jews, hath been warned from God by an holy angel, to send for thee to his house, and to hear what thou shalt say.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲟⲩϩⲉⲕⲁⲧⲟⲛⲧⲁⲣⲭⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲥⲉⲃⲉ ⲉⲓⲁⲧϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉϩⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ
23 Then he invited them in, and entertained them that night. And on the morrow Peter set out with them; and some of the brethren from Joppa went with him.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲁϥϣⲟⲡⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲟⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ
24 And the next day they came into Cesarea; and Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his relations and intimate friends.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲙⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲕⲁⲓⲥⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲉϥϭⲱϣⲧ ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϥⲥⲩⲅⲅⲉⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϥϣⲃⲏⲣ ⲁⲛⲁⲅⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ
25 And as Peter came in, Cornelius met him, and falling down at his feet did him reverence.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ⲧⲱⲙⲛⲧ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲡⲁϩⲧϥ ϩⲁⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ ⲛⲁϥ
26 But Peter raised him up, saying, I myself also am a man.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛⲅ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲱⲧ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲅ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ
27 And as he was conversing with him, he went in, and found many assembled together.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩϩ
28 And he said unto them, Ye know how unlawful it is for a man that is a Jew, to associate with or go to the house of one of another nation: but God hath shewn me, that I should not call any man polluted or unclean.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩϣⲗⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱϩ ⲏ ⲉϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲁⲗⲗⲟⲫⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟⲓ ⲉⲧⲙⲉⲡⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ϥϫⲁϩⲙ ⲏ ⲟⲩⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ
29 And therefore I came to you, when I was sent for, without demur. I ask therefore on what account ye sent for me.

30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting till this hour, and at the ninth hour I was praying in my house, when behold a man stood before me in bright raiment,
ⲗ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲕⲟⲣⲛⲏⲗⲓⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϫⲓⲛ ϥⲧⲉⲩ ⲉⲡⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲓⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲓⲛⲏⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲓϣⲗⲏⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲡⲯⲓⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲁⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲃⲥⲱ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲃϣ
31 and said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are remembered before God.

32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, who is sirnamed Peter, (he lodgeth in the house of one Simon a tanner, by the sea-side, ) who when he cometh, will talk with thee.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲙⲁϫⲟⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲉⲓⲟⲡⲡⲏ ⲛⲅⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲏϩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲡⲃⲁⲕϣⲁⲁⲕ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϥϫⲱ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛϩⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲕⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ
33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee, and thou hast done well that thou art come. And now we are all here present before God, to hear all the things which God hath charged thee with to us.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲕ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲁⲕⲁⲁⲥ ⲁⲕⲉⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲛ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲟⲩⲉϩ ⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛⲣⲱϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ϯⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϫⲓϩⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
35 but in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is acceptable to Him.

36 According to the declaration which He made to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

37 Ye know the report that was spread through all Judea, having begun from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached: concerning Jesus of Nazareth,

38 how God anointed Him with the holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil: for God was with Him.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲁϩⲥϥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲁ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲟⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲣ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲣⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ ⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲇⲓⲁⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ
39 And we are witnesses of all things that He did, both in the country of Judea, and in the city of Jerusalem: whom notwithstanding they put to death, hanging Him on a tree.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲛⲟ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲛϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲑⲓⲗⲏⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ ⲉⲁⲩⲁϣⲧϥ ⲉⲩϣⲉ
40 Him God raised up the third day, and gave Him to be seen openly; not to all the people,

41 but to witnesses before appointed by God, even to us, who did eat and drink with Him, after He rose from the dead.

42 And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He who is appointed by God to be judge of the living and of the dead.
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲁϥⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲅⲓⲗⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉⲕⲏⲣⲩⲥⲥⲉ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲟϣϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲕⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ
43 To Him do all the prophets bear witness, that whosoever believeth on Him shall receive the forgiveness of their sins through his name.
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ
44 While Peter was yet speaking these words, the holy Spirit fell upon all them that heard the word.
ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ⲉⲧⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲱ ⲛⲛⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ
45 And those of the circumcision that were believers, who came with Peter, were astonished, that the gift of the holy Spirit was conferred upon the Gentiles also:
ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲡⲱϣⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲥⲃⲃⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲡⲱϩⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲕⲉϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ
46 for they heard them speaking in divers languages, and glorifying God.
ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲉⲁⲥⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩϯ ⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ
47 Then said Peter, Can any one forbid water, that these persons should not be baptized, who have received the holy Spirit, as well as we?
