2 Corinthians 7
1 Having therefore, my beloved, these promises, let us purify ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
அதஏவ ஹே ப்ரியதமா: , ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸீ²: ப்ரதிஜ்ஞா: ப்ராப்தைரஸ்மாபி⁴: ஸ²ரீராத்மநோ: ஸர்வ்வமாலிந்யம் அபம்ரு’ஜ்யேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப⁴க்த்யா பவித்ராசார: ஸாத்⁴யதாம்’|
2 Receive us---we have injured no man, we have corrupted no one, we have over-reached no one.
யூயம் அஸ்மாந் க்³ரு’ஹ்லீத| அஸ்மாபி⁴: கஸ்யாப்யந்யாயோ ந க்ரு’த: கோ(அ)பி ந வஞ்சித: |
3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I said before that ye are so much in our hearts that we could live and die with you.
யுஷ்மாந் தோ³ஷிண: கர்த்தமஹம்’ வாக்யமேதத்³ வதா³மீதி நஹி யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸஹ ஜீவநாய மரணாய வா வயம்’ யுஷ்மாந் ஸ்வாந்த: கரணை ர்தா⁴ரயாம இதி பூர்வ்வம்’ மயோக்தம்’|
4 I use much freedom of speech to you, and I boast much of you: I am filled with comfort, and superabound in joy above all our affliction.
யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி மம மஹேத்ஸாஹோ ஜாயதே யுஷ்மாந் அத்⁴யஹம்’ ப³ஹு ஸ்²லாகே⁴ ச தேந ஸர்வ்வக்லேஸ²ஸமயே(அ)ஹம்’ ஸாந்த்வநயா பூர்ணோ ஹர்ஷேண ப்ரபு²ல்லிதஸ்²ச ப⁴வாமி|
5 For when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
அஸ்மாஸு மாகித³நியாதே³ஸ²ம் ஆக³தேஷ்வஸ்மாகம்’ ஸ²ரீரஸ்ய காசித³பி ஸா²ந்தி ர்நாப⁴வத் கிந்து ஸர்வ்வதோ ப³ஹி ர்விரோதே⁴நாந்தஸ்²ச பீ⁴த்யா வயம் அபீட்³யாமஹி|
6 But God, who comforteth those that are brought low, comforted us by the coming of Titus:
கிந்து நம்ராணாம்’ ஸாந்த்வயிதா ய ஈஸ்²வர: ஸ தீதஸ்யாக³மநேநாஸ்மாந் அஸாந்த்வயத்|
7 and not only by his coming, but especially by the consolation wherewith he was comforted on your account, acquainting us with your earnest desire towards us, your grief, and your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced greatly.
கேவலம்’ தஸ்யாக³மநேந தந்நஹி கிந்து யுஷ்மத்தோ ஜாதயா தஸ்ய ஸாந்த்வநயாபி, யதோ(அ)ஸ்மாஸு யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஹார்த்³த³விலாபாஸக்தத்வேஷ்வஸ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே வர்ணிதேஷு மம மஹாநந்தோ³ ஜாத: |
8 For though I grieved you by my letter, I do not repent, though I did repent; for I perceive that that epistle grieved you, though it was but for a little while.
அஹம்’ பத்ரேண யுஷ்மாந் ஸோ²கயுக்தாந் க்ரு’தவாந் இத்யஸ்மாத்³ அந்வதப்யே கிந்த்வது⁴நா நாநுதப்யே| தேந பத்ரேண யூயம்’ க்ஷணமாத்ரம்’ ஸோ²கயுக்தீபூ⁴தா இதி மயா த்³ரு’ஸ்²யதே|
9 However, now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance; for ye were grieved after a godly manner, so that ye received no damage from us.
இத்யஸ்மிந் யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸோ²கேநாஹம்’ ஹ்ரு’ஷ்யாமி தந்நஹி கிந்து மந: பரிவர்த்தநாய யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸோ²கோ(அ)ப⁴வத்³ இத்யநேந ஹ்ரு’ஷ்யாமி யதோ(அ)ஸ்மத்தோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ காபி ஹாநி ர்யந்ந ப⁴வேத் தத³ர்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மாகம் ஈஸ்²வரீய: ஸோ²கோ ஜாத: |
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
ஸ ஈஸ்²வரீய: ஸோ²க: பரித்ராணஜநகம்’ நிரநுதாபம்’ மந: பரிவர்த்தநம்’ ஸாத⁴யதி கிந்து ஸாம்’ஸாரிக: ஸோ²கோ ம்ரு’த்யும்’ ஸாத⁴யதி|
11 For behold this very thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly manner, what diligence it wrought in you! yea, what apology, what indignation, what fear, what earnest desire, what zeal, what revenge! by all which ye have shewn yourselves to be clear in the affair.
பஸ்²யத தேநேஸ்²வரீயேண ஸோ²கேந யுஷ்மாகம்’ கிம்’ ந ஸாதி⁴தம்’? யத்நோ தோ³ஷப்ரக்ஷாலநம் அஸந்துஷ்டத்வம்’ ஹார்த்³த³ம் ஆஸக்தத்வம்’ ப²லதா³நஞ்சைதாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி| தஸ்மிந் கர்ம்மணி யூயம்’ நிர்ம்மலா இதி ப்ரமாணம்’ ஸர்வ்வேண ப்ரகாரேண யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்த³த்தம்’|
12 Wherefore if I wrote in such a manner to you, it was not merely on his account who had done the wrong, nor for his sake who had been injured; but that our care for you in the sight of God might be manifested among you.
யேநாபராத்³த⁴ம்’ தஸ்ய க்ரு’தே கிம்’வா யஸ்யாபராத்³த⁴ம்’ தஸ்ய க்ரு’தே மயா பத்ரம் அலேகி² தந்நஹி கிந்து யுஷ்மாநத்⁴யஸ்மாகம்’ யத்நோ யத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷாத்³ யுஷ்மத்ஸமீபே ப்ரகாஸே²த தத³ர்த²மேவ|
13 We were therefore comforted by your consolation; and rejoiced the more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all;
உக்தகாரணாத்³ வயம்’ ஸாந்த்வநாம்’ ப்ராப்தா: ; தாஞ்ச ஸாந்த்வநாம்’ விநாவரோ மஹாஹ்லாத³ஸ்தீதஸ்யாஹ்லாதா³த³ஸ்மாபி⁴ ர்லப்³த⁴: , யதஸ்தஸ்யாத்மா ஸர்வ்வை ர்யுஷ்மாபி⁴ஸ்த்ரு’ப்த: |
14 and because if I boasted of any thing to him concerning you, I was not ashamed; but as we have spoken all things to you in truth, so likewise our boasting of you to Titus was truth.
பூர்வ்வம்’ தஸ்ய ஸமீபே(அ)ஹம்’ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ர்யத்³ அஸ்²லாகே⁴ தேந நாலஜ்ஜே கிந்து வயம்’ யத்³வத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி ஸத்யபா⁴வேந ஸகலம் அபா⁴ஷாமஹி தத்³வத் தீதஸ்ய ஸமீபே(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ஸ்²லாக⁴நமபி ஸத்யம்’ ஜாதம்’|
15 And his bowels are exceedingly moved towards you, when he calls to mind the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
யூயம்’ கீத்³ரு’க் தஸ்யாஜ்ஞா அபாலயத ப⁴யகம்பாப்⁴யாம்’ தம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீதவந்தஸ்²சைதஸ்ய ஸ்மரணாத்³ யுஷ்மாஸு தஸ்ய ஸ்நேஹோ பா³ஹுல்யேந வர்த்ததே|
16 I rejoice therefore that in every thing I have confidence in you.
யுஷ்மாஸ்வஹம்’ ஸர்வ்வமாஸ²ம்’ஸே, இத்யஸ்மிந் மமாஹ்லாதோ³ ஜாயதே|
