1 Peter 5
1 The elders that are among you I exhort, who am also an elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker of the glory which shall be revealed; feed the flock of God that is among you,
உங்கள் மத்தியில் சபைத்தலைவர்களாய் இருக்கிறவர்களிடம், உங்கள் உடன் தலைவனாகவும், கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய துன்பங்களுக்கு சாட்சியாகவும், வெளிப்படப்போகும் மகிமைக்கு பங்காளியாகவும் இருக்கிற நான் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறதாவது:
2 taking the episcopal charge of it, not by constraint, but willingly; not for shameful lucre, but with a ready mind:
உங்களுடைய பராமரிப்பின்கீழ் இருக்கும், இறைவனுடைய மந்தைக்கு மேய்ப்பர்களாயிருங்கள். கண்காணிப்பாளர்களாகப் பணிசெய்யுங்கள். செய்யவேண்டியிருக்கிறதே என்பதற்காக செய்யாமல், நீங்கள் அப்படி இருக்கவேண்டுமென்று இறைவன் விரும்புகிறபடியால், மனவிருப்பத்துடன் அதைச் செய்யுங்கள்; பணம் சம்பாதிக்கும் பேராசையுடன் அதைச் செய்யாமல், வாஞ்சையுடன் அந்த ஊழியத்தைச் செய்யுங்கள்.
3 nor as lording it over the people, but being examples to the flock.
உங்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்மேல் அதிகாரம் செலுத்துகிறவர்களாய் இல்லாமல், மந்தைக்கு முன்மாதிரியாய் இருங்கள்.
4 And when the sovereign Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive an unfading crown of glory.
அப்படி நடப்பீர்களானால், பிரதான மேய்ப்பர் வெளிப்படும்போது, ஒருபோதும் மங்கிப்போகாத மகிமையின் கிரீடத்தை நீங்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள்.
5 Likewise ye younger, be subject to the elder; and all of you behaving with due submission one to another, be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, but sheweth favor to the humble.
இளைஞர்களே, அந்தப்படியே நீங்களும் சபைத்தலைவர்களுக்கு அடங்கி நடங்கள். நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் மற்றவர்களுடன் பழகும்போது, மனத்தாழ்மையை ஆடையாய் அணிந்திருங்கள். ஏனெனில், “பெருமையுள்ளவர்களை இறைவன் எதிர்க்கிறார். ஆனால், தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்களுக்கோ கிருபையைக் கொடுக்கிறார்.”
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time;
ஆகவே, இறைவனுடைய வல்லமையான கரத்தின்கீழே உங்களைத் தாழ்த்துங்கள். அப்பொழுது ஏற்றவேளையில், அவர் உங்களை உயர்த்துவார்.
7 casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.
உங்கள் கவலைகளையெல்லாம் இறைவனிடத்தில் கொடுத்துவிடுங்கள். ஏனெனில் அவர் உங்கள்மேல் அக்கறையுள்ளவராய் இருக்கிறார்.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
தன்னடக்கம் உள்ளவர்களாயும் விழிப்புள்ளவர்களாயும் இருங்கள். உங்கள் பகைவனான பிசாசு கர்ஜிக்கின்ற சிங்கத்தைப்போல், யாரை விழுங்கலாம் என்று அலைந்து தேடித்திரிகிறான்.
9 whom resist, stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are endured by your brethren in the world.
விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதியாயிருந்து, பிசாசை எதிர்த்து நில்லுங்கள். ஏனெனில் உலகமெங்குமுள்ள உங்கள் சகோதர சகோதரிகளும் இதேவிதமான வேதனைகளின் வழியாக போய்க்கொண்டிருப்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.
10 But may the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a little while, make you perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (aiōnios g166)
எல்லாக் கிருபையையும் கொடுக்கிற இறைவனே உங்களைக் கிறிஸ்துவில் தமது நித்திய மகிமைக்கு அழைத்திருக்கிறார். சிறிது காலத்திற்கு நீங்கள் துன்பத்தை அனுபவித்த பின்பு, அவரே உங்களைச் சீர்ப்படுத்தி பெலப்படுத்துவார். உங்களை உறுதியாய் நிலைப்படுத்துவார். (aiōnios g166)

12 Thus I have written briefly by Silvanus, a faithful brother to you (as I judge) exhorting and testifying, that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

13 The church in Babylon, chosen together with you saluteth you, and so doth Marcus my son.
உங்களோடேகூட தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட புதிய பாபிலோனிலுள்ள திருச்சபையும், உங்களுக்கு தங்களது வாழ்த்துதலை அனுப்புகிறது. அப்படியே என் மகன் மாற்குவும் வாழ்த்துதலை அனுப்புகிறான்.
14 Salute one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
