1 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, to the church of God which is in Corinth,
ⲁ̅ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲡⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲑⲁϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲱϣ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲥⲱⲥⲑⲉⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲓⲥⲟⲛ.
2 even to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, and called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is both their Lord and ours;
ⲃ̅⳿ⲛϯⲉⲕ⳿ⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲑⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲕⲟⲣⲓⲛⲑⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲟⲩⲃⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲑⲁϩⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϧⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲛ.
3 grace and peace be to you from God our Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ.
ⲅ̅⳿ⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲧϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
4 I always give thanks unto my God, on your account, for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus; that ye are enriched by Him with every gift,
ⲇ̅ϯϣⲉⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅.
5 in all utterance and knowledge;
ⲉ̅ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲣⲁⲙⲁ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
6 (even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed among you; )
ⲋ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
7 so that ye are deficient in no gift, expecting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ:
ⲍ̅ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲁⲧ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲁ⳿ⲧϩⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓϭⲱⲣⲡ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
8 who will also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ;
ⲏ̅ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϫⲣⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧⲁⲣⲓⲕⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
9 for God is faithful by whom ye were called into the communion of his son Jesus Christ our Lord.
ⲑ̅⳿ϥⲉⲛϩⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫϯ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁϩⲉⲙ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉϯⲙⲉⲧ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲓ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲛ⳪.
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye would all say alike, and that there may be no schisms among you, but that ye be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgement.
ⲓ̅ϯϯϩⲟ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲟⲩⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲫⲱⲣϫ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲅⲛⲱⲙⲏ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ.
11 For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by some of Chloe's family, that there are contentions among you.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲭⲗⲟⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛ⳿ϣϭⲛⲏⲛ ϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
12 I mean, that each of you saith, as if of different parties, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, I of Cephas, and I of Christ.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϯϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲙⲉⲛ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲫⲁ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲫⲁ ⲁⲡⲟⲗⲗⲱ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲫⲁ ⲕⲏⲫⲁ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲫⲁ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲫⲉϣ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙⲏ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲁϣϥ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲓⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϭⲓⲱⲙⲥ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ.
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius:
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ϯϣⲉⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲩϯ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓϯⲱⲙⲥ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲕⲣⲓⲥⲡⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲅⲁⲓⲟⲥ.
15 so that no one can say I baptized in my own name.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ ϭ- ⲓⲱⲙⲥ ⳿ⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ.
16 I also baptized indeed the family of Stephanas: but I know not whether I baptized any other.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲓϯⲱⲙⲥ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲉⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲥⲧⲉⲫⲁⲛⲁ ⲗⲟⲓⲡⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛϯ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲓϯⲱⲙⲥ ⳿ⲛⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁⲓ.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in fine speech, least the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲉϯⲱⲙⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲉϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉϥϣⲟⲩⲓⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓ⳧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
18 For the doctrine of the cross is to them, that perish, foolishness: but to us, who are saved, it is the power of God.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓ⳧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲥⲟϫ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϧⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉ.
19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅⳿ⲥ⳿ⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲧⲥⲟⲫⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲡ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲕⲁⲧϩⲏⲧ ϯⲛⲁϣⲟϣϥ.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputant of the age? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn g165)

21 For, since in the wisdom of God the world by it's wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by what they called the folly of preaching to save those that believe.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲇⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲥⲟⲫⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲥⲟⲩⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ϯⲥⲟⲫⲓ⳿ⲁ ⲁϥϯⲙⲁϯ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲥⲟϫ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲉⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϩϯ.
22 And whereas the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks look for wisdom, we preach Christ crucified;
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲡⲓⲇⲏ ⲛⲓⲕⲉⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲥⲉⲉⲣⲉⲧⲓⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲉⲓⲛⲓⲛ ⲥⲉⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲫⲓ⳿ⲁ.
23 to the Jews indeed a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks foolishness; but to them that are called,
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲛϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲠⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲉⲁⲩⲁϣϥ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲟⲛ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲥⲟϫ ⲡⲉ.
24 both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲛⲁⲛ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϧⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲉⲓⲛⲓⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲫⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ.
25 Because the foolishness of God, as they call it, is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ϫⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲥⲟϫ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲥⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲁⲥⲑⲏⲛⲏⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲥⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲱⲣⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ.
26 For ye see by your calling, brethren, that not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called:
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅⳿ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲑⲱϩⲉⲙ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛϫⲱⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲉⲩⲅⲉⲛⲏⲥ.
27 but God hath chosen things that are foolish in the eye of the world to put it's wise men to confusion; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty;
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲓⲥⲟϫ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲟⲧⲡⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫϯ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϯϣⲓⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲥⲁⲃⲉⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲧϫⲱⲃ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲥⲟⲧⲡⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫϯ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥϯϣⲓⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓϫⲱⲣⲓ.
28 and things in the opinion of the world ignoble, and despicable, and accounted as nothing, hath God chosen, to abolish things that are in esteem among men;
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲧⲁⲅⲉⲛⲏⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟϣϥ ⲁϥⲥⲟⲧⲡⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲛⲥⲉϣⲟⲡ ⲁⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲕⲱⲣϥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ.
29 that no flesh may glory in his presence.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ϩⲟⲡⲱⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲙ ⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉ⳿ⲙⲑⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ.
30 But ye are of Him in Christ Jesus, who from God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
ⲗ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲫⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲱϯ.
31 that, as it is written, He that glorieth may glory in the Lord.
