1 Corinthians 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached to you at first, which ye received, and wherein ye stand.
૧હવે ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, જે સુવાર્તા મેં તમને પ્રગટ કરી છે, જેને તમે પણ સ્વીકારી છે અને જેમાં તમે સ્થિર પણ રહ્યા છો,
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye retain it as I preached it to you: unless indeed ye have believed in vain.
૨જે વચનો મેં તમારી સમક્ષ પ્રગટ કર્યાં છે તેને તમે અનુસરો છો અને કાલ્પનિક વિશ્વાસ કરો નહિ તો જ તમે ઉદ્ધાર પામો છો, તે સુવાર્તા હું તમને જણાવું છું.
3 For in the first place I delivered to you, that which I also received, to wit, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures:
૩કેમ કે જે મને પ્રાપ્ત થયું છે, તે મેં પ્રથમ તમને સોંપી દીધું કે શાસ્ત્રવચનો પ્રમાણે ખ્રિસ્ત આપણાં પાપને સારુ મરણ પામ્યા;
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, according to the scriptures.
૪વળી શાસ્ત્રવચનો પ્રમાણે ઈસુને દફનાવવામાં આવ્યા; અને ત્રીજે દિવસે તેઓ સજીવન થયા.’”
5 And that he was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve:
૫કેફાને અને પછી શિષ્યોને તેમણે દર્શન આપ્યું.
6 after that He appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain yet alive, but some are fallen asleep.
૬ત્યાર પછી પાંચસો કરતાં વધારે ભાઈઓ સમક્ષ એક જ સમયે તેઓ પ્રગટ થયા; તેઓમાંના ઘણાં હજુ સુધી જીવતા રહ્યા છે, પણ કેટલાક મૃત્યુ પામ્યા છે.
7 Afterwards He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
૭ત્યાર પછી યાકૂબને અને પછી સર્વ પ્રેરિતોને ઈસુએ દર્શન આપ્યું.
8 And last of all He appeared to me also, as one born out of due time: for I am the lest of the apostles,
૮સૌથી છેલ્લે જેમ અકાળે જન્મેલો હોય તેમ મને પણ ઈસુએ દર્શન આપ્યું.
9 not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
૯કેમ કે પ્રેરિતોમાંના સર્વ કરતાં હું નાનો છું, અને હું પ્રેરિત ગણાવા પણ લાયક નથી, કારણ કે મેં ઈશ્વરના મંડળીની સતાવણી કરી હતી.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his favor to me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
૧૦પણ હું જે છું તે ઈશ્વરની કૃપાથી છું; મારા પર તેમની જે કૃપા છે તે વિનાકારણ થઈ નથી, પણ તેઓ સર્વ કરતાં મેં વધારે મહેનત કરી; મેં તો નહિ પણ ઈશ્વરની જે કૃપા મારા પર છે તે દ્વારા.
11 Whether therefore I or they laboured most, thus we preach, and thus ye believed.
૧૧હું કે તેઓ, એમ અમે સુવાર્તા પ્રગટ કરીએ છીએ, અને તે પર તમોએ વિશ્વાસ કર્યો છે.
12 Now if it be preached that Christ is risen from the dead, how say some among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead?
૧૨પણ ખ્રિસ્ત મૃત્યુ પામેલાઓમાંથી સજીવન થયા છે. એવું જો પ્રગટ કરાય છે, તો તમારામાંના કેટલાક કેમ કહે છે કે, ‘મૃત્યુ પામેલાઓનું પુનરુત્થાન નથી?’
13 for if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen.
૧૩પણ જો મૃત્યુ પામેલાઓનું પુનરુત્થાન નથી તો ખ્રિસ્ત પણ સજીવન થયા નથી.
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
૧૪અને જો ખ્રિસ્ત સજીવન થયા નથી. તો અમે જે ઉપદેશ કરીએ છીએ તે વ્યર્થ, અને તમે જે વિશ્વાસ કરો છો તે પણ વ્યર્થ છે.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses concerning God, for we have testified of God, that He raised up Christ; whom He did not raise up, if indeed the dead do not rise.
૧૫અને અમે ઈશ્વરના જૂઠા સાક્ષીઓ ઠરીએ છીએ, કારણ કે અમે ઈશ્વર વિષે એવી સાક્ષી આપી, કે તેમણે ખ્રિસ્તને સજીવન કર્યાં, પણ જો મૂએલાં ઊઠતાં નથી, તો ઈસુને પણ સજીવન કરવામાં આવ્યા નથી.
16 For if the dead rise not, then Christ is not raised:
૧૬કેમ કે જો મૂએલાંઓનું પુનરુત્થાન નથી, તો ખ્રિસ્ત પણ સજીવન થયા નથી.
17 and if Christ be not risen, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
૧૭અને જો ખ્રિસ્ત સજીવન થયા નથી, તો તમારો વિશ્વાસ વ્યર્થ છે; હજી સુધી તમે તમારા પાપમાં જ છો.
18 Then they also that sleep in Christ, are perished.
૧૮અને ખ્રિસ્તમાં જેઓ ઊંઘી ગયેલા છે તેઓ પણ નાશ પામ્યા છે.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
૧૯જો કેવળ આ જીવન માટે જ આપણી આશા ખ્રિસ્તમાં છે, તો સર્વ માણસો કરતાં આપણે વધારે દયાપાત્ર છીએ.
20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and is become the first-fruits of them that slept:
૨૦પણ હવે ખ્રિસ્ત મૃત્યુ પામેલાઓમાંથી સજીવન થયા છે, અને તે ઊંઘી ગયેલાંઓનું પ્રથમફળ થયા છે.
21 for as by man came death, by man cometh also the resurrection of the dead.
૨૧કેમ કે માણસથી મરણ થયું, એ જ રીતે માણસથી મૂએલાંઓનું પુનરુત્થાન પણ થયું છે.
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
૨૨કેમ કે જેમ આદમમાં સર્વ મરે છે, તેમ ખ્રિસ્તમાં સર્વ સજીવન થશે.
23 But each in their proper order: the first-fruits, Christ; afterwards they that are Christ's, at his coming.
૨૩પણ પ્રત્યેક પોતપોતાને અનુક્રમે: ખ્રિસ્ત પ્રથમફળ, ત્યાર પછી જ્યારે તે આવશે ત્યારે જેઓ ખ્રિસ્તનાં છે તેઓને સજીવન કરવામાં આવશે.
24 Then will be the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God even the Father; when He shall have abolished all rule, and all authority, and power.
૨૪જયારે ખ્રિસ્ત ઈશ્વરને એટલે પિતાને રાજ્ય સોંપી દેશે, ત્યારે સમગ્ર સત્તા, સર્વ અધિકાર તથા પરાક્રમ નષ્ટ કરશે ત્યારે અંત આવશે.
25 For he must reign till He hath put all his enemies under his feet.
૨૫કેમ કે સર્વ શત્રુઓને તે પોતાના પગ તળે કચડી નહિ નાખે, ત્યાં સુધી તેમણે રાજ કરવું જોઈએ.
26 The last enemy that is destroyed is death:
૨૬જે છેલ્લો શત્રુ નાશ પામશે તે તો મરણ છે.
27 for He hath put all things under his feet. But when He saith that all things are put under Him, it is plain that we are to except Him who put all things under Him.
૨૭કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે પોતાના પગ નીચે બધાને આધીન કર્યાં છે; પણ જયારે તેમણે કહ્યું કે, ‘સર્વ આધીન કરાયા છે, ત્યારે સર્વને આધીન કરનાર જુદા છે, તે સ્પષ્ટ દેખાય છે.’”
28 And when all things shall be subjected to Him, then shall the Son also himself be subject to Him, that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
૨૮પણ જયારે સર્વ તેમને આધીન કરાશે, ઈસુ આધીન થયેલાઓને આધીન નહિ થાય પણ પિતાને આધીન થશે એ સારુ કે ઈશ્વર સર્વમાં સર્વોચ્ચ થાય.
29 Besides, what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why then are they baptized for the dead?
૨૯જો એવું ના હોય તો જેઓ મૃત્યુ પામેલાઓને માટે બાપ્તિસ્મા પામ્યા, તેઓનું શું થશે? જો મૂએલાઓનું પુનરુત્થાન નથી તો મૂએલાંઓને માટે તેઓ શા માટે બાપ્તિસ્મા પામે છે?
30 And why are we in danger every hour?
૩૦અમે પણ વારંવાર જોખમમાં શા માટે પડીએ છીએ?
31 I protest by your rejoicing, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I am even dying daily.
૩૧ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુ આપણા પ્રભુમાં તમારા વિષે મારો જે આનંદ છે તેની ખાતરી સાથે કહું છું કે, ‘હું દિનપ્રતિદિન મરું છું.
32 If, to speak as a man, I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage have I, if the dead rise not? Let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we die. ---
૩૨જો એફેસસમાં જંગલી જાનવરોની સાથે લડ્યો તો મને શો લાભ છે? જો મૂએલાઓનું પુનરુત્થાન નથી તો આપણે ખાઈએ કે પીઈએ એમાં શું ખોટું છે. કેમ કે કાલે મરવાના છીએ.
33 Be not deceived, bad conversations corrupt good morals.
૩૩ખાસ યાદ રાખો; ખરાબ સંગત સારા આચરણને બગાડે છે.
34 Behave soberly, as ye ought to do, and sin not: for some of you have not the knowledge of God; to your shame I speak it.
૩૪ન્યાયી સભાનતાથી જીવો અને પાપ કરો નહીં. કેમ કે કેટલાક ઈશ્વર વિષે અજ્ઞાની છે; આ તમને શરમાવવા માટે હું કહું છું.
35 But some will say, How are the dead raised, and with what body do they come?
૩૫પણ કોઈ કહેશે કે મૂએલાં શી રીતે પુનરુત્થાન પામે છે? અને કેવાં શરીર ધારણ કરીને આવે છે?
36 Silly creature! that which thou sowest, is not quickened, except it die first.
૩૬ઓ નિર્બુદ્ધ, તું જે વાવે છે તે જો મરે નહિ તો તેને જીવન પણ પ્રાપ્ત થાય નહિ.
37 And as to what thou sowest, thou sowest not the very body that shall be produced, but a bare grain, it may be, of wheat, or any other corn:
૩૭જે શરીર થવાનું નથી તે તેં વાવ્યું છે, પણ તે કેવળ દાણા, કદાચ ઘઉંના કે બીજાકોઈ અનાજના.
38 and God giveth it a body as He pleaseth, and to every one of the seeds it's own body.
૩૮પણ ઈશ્વર પોતાની ઇચ્છા પ્રમાણે તેને શરીર આપે છે, અને પ્રત્યેક દાણાને પોતાનું શરીર આપે છે.
39 All flesh is not the same kind of flesh: but there is one flesh of men, and another of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
૩૯સર્વ દેહ એક જ જાતનાં નથી; પણ માણસોનો દેહ જુદો છે, પશુઓનો જુદો અને માછલાંઓનો જુદો તેમ જ પક્ષીઓનો દેહ પણ જુદો છે.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies: but there is one glory of the celestial, and another of the terrestrial.
૪૦સ્વર્ગીય શરીરો છે તેમ જ પૃથ્વી પરનાં શરીરો પણ છે. સ્વર્ગીય શરીરોનો વૈભવ જુદો છે, તથા પૃથ્વી પરના શરીરોનો વૈભવ જુદો છે.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: and one star differeth from another star in glory.
૪૧સૂર્યનો વૈભવ જુદો, અને ચંદ્રનો વૈભવ જુદો, તેમ જ ચમકતા તારાઓનો મહિમા પણ જુદો છે, કેમ કે ચમકતા તારા તારામાં પણ ફેર છે.
42 So also will be the resurrection of the dead. Our body is sown in corruption, it is raised incorruptible: it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory:
૪૨મૂએલાંઓનું પુનરુત્થાન પણ એવું છે; જે દફનાવાય તે નાશવંત છે. અને જે સજીવન કરાય છે તે સદાકાળ સુધી ટકનાર છે.
43 it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
૪૩અપમાનમાં વવાય છે, મહિમામાં ઉઠાડાય છે; નિર્બળતામાં વવાય છે, પરાક્રમમાં ઉઠાડાય છે.
44 it is sown an animal body, it is raised a spiritual body: for there is an animal body, and there is a spiritual body.
૪૪ભૌતિક શરીર વવાય છે અને આત્મિક શરીરમાં સજીવન કરાય છે; જો ભૌતિક શરીર છે, તો આત્મિક શરીર પણ છે.
45 And so it is written, "The first man Adam was made a living soul." But the last Adam is an enlivening spirit.
૪૫લખ્યું છે કે, ‘પહેલો માણસ આદમ સજીવ જીવંત પ્રાણી થયો, છેલ્લો આદમ જીવનદાયક આત્મા થયો.
46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the animal; and afterwards the spiritual.
૪૬આત્મિક પહેલું હોતું નથી, ભૌતિક પહેલું પછી આત્મિક.
47 The first man being made out of the earth, was earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
૪૭પહેલો માણસ પૃથ્વીની માટીનો બનેલો હતો, બીજો માણસ સ્વર્ગથી આવનાર પ્રભુ છે.
48 Such as the earthy was, such are they also that are earthy: and such, as is the heavenly, are they also that are heavenly.
૪૮જે માટીનો છે તેવા જ જેઓ માટીના છે તેઓ પણ છે; અને જે સ્વર્ગીય છે તે જેવો છે તેવા જ જેઓ સ્વર્ગીય છે તેઓ પણ છે.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
૪૯આપણે જેમ માટીની પ્રતિમા ધારણ કરી છે, તેમ સ્વર્ગીય સ્વરૂપ પણ ધારણ કરીશું.
50 But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor doth what is corruptible inherit incorruption.
૫૦હવે ભાઈઓ, હું એ કહું છું કે, માંસ તથા લોહી ઈશ્વરના રાજ્યના વારસ થઈ શકતા નથી; તેમ જ વિનાશીપણું અવિનાશીપણાનો વારસો પામી શકવાનું નથી.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed in a moment,
૫૧જુઓ, હું તમને મર્મ કહું છું; આપણે સહુ ઊંઘીશું નહિ, છેલ્લું રણશિંગડું વાગતા જ પણ એક ક્ષણમાં, આંખના પલકારામાં આપણે બદલાઈ જઈશું.
52 in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet (for the trumpet shall sound) and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed:
૫૨કેમ કે રણશિંગડું વાગશે, ત્યારે મૂએલાં અવિનાશી થઈને ઊઠશે અને આપણું સ્વરૂપ બદલાઈ જશે.
53 for this corruptible body must put on incorruption, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality.
૫૩કેમ કે આ વિનાશી અવિનાશીપણું ધારણ કરશે તથા આ મરનાર અમરપણું ધારણ કરશે.
54 And when this corruptible shall be clothed with incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory."
૫૪જયારે આ વિનાશી અવિનાશીપણું ધારણ કરશે, અને આ મરણ અમરપણું ધારણ કરશે, ત્યારે આ લખેલી વાત પૂર્ણ થશે કે, ‘મરણ જયમાં ગરક થઈ ગયું છે.’”
૫૫અરે મરણ, તારું પરાક્રમ ક્યાં? અરે મરણ, તારો ડંખ ક્યાં?’” (Hadēs g86)
56 the sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law:
૫૬મરણનો ડંખ તો પાપ છે; અને પાપનું સામર્થ્ય નિયમશાસ્ત્ર છે;
57 but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
૫૭પણ ઈશ્વર જે આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત દ્વારા આપણને વિજય આપે છે, તેમની આભારસ્તુતિ થાઓ.
58 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
૫૮એ માટે, મારા પ્રિય ભાઈઓ, તમે સ્થિર તથા દ્રઢ થાઓ, તથા પ્રભુના કામમાં તલ્લીન રહો, કેમ કે તમે જાણો છો કે પ્રભુમાં તમારું કામ નિષ્ફળ નથી.
