< Zechariah 1 >
1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the LORD’s word came to the prophet Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying,
Darius kah a kum bae, a hla rhet vaengah, Iddo koca Berekiah capa tonghma Zekhariah taengah BOEIPA ol cet tih,

“BOEIPA he a thintoek tih na pa rhoek taengah thinhulnah om.
3 Therefore tell them, the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Return to me,’ says the LORD of Hosts, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the LORD of Hosts.
Te dongah amih te thui pah. Caempuei BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. He tah caempuei BOEIPA kah olphong ni. Caempuei BOEIPA loh, “Kai taengla ha mael uh lamtah nangmih taengla ka mael ni,” a ti.
4 Don’t you be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: The LORD of Hosts says, ‘Return now from your evil ways and from your evil doings;’ but they didn’t hear nor listen to me, says the LORD.
Na pa rhoek bangla om uh boeh. Amih te tonghma lamhma rhoek loh a khue uh tih, “Caempuei BOEIPA loh he ni a thui na longpuei thae lamloh mael uh laeh. Na khoboe neh na khoboe thae rhoe mah,’ a ti. Tedae hnatun uh pawt tih kai taengah a hnatung uh moenih. He tah BOEIPA kah olphong ni.
5 Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?
Na pa rhoek te melae? Tonghma rhoek khaw kumhal ah hing uh nim?
6 But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, didn’t they overtake your fathers? “Then they repented and said, ‘Just as the LORD of Hosts determined to do to us, according to our ways and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.’”
Ka ol neh ka oltlueh he ka sal tonghma rhoek ka uen dae ta. Na pa rhoek loh kae uh pawt tih nim a mael uh? Te vaengah, “Mamih kah longpuei bangla mamih taengah saii ham neh mamih kah khoboe bangla caempuei BOEIPA loh a mangtaeng tih mamih taengah a saii tangloeng coeng,’ a ti uh,” a ti nah.
7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the LORD’s word came to the prophet Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying,
Darius kah a kum bae nah, hla hlai khat, Shebat hla hnin kul hnin li vaengah, BOEIPA ol te Iddo koca Berekiah capa tonghma Zekhariah taengla cet tih a thui.
8 “I had a vision in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in a ravine; and behind him there were red, brown, and white horses.
“Khoyin kah ka hmuh dongah hlang te marhang ling dongah tarha ana ngol. Anih te cuihal ding kah a cok ah pai. A hnukkah marhang rhoek tah a ling, a pol neh a bok om.
9 Then I asked, ‘My lord, what are these?’” The angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what these are.”
Te vaengah, “Ka boeipa balae he,” ka ti nah. Te vaengah kai taengah aka cal puencawn loh kai taengah, “Amih rhoek balae ti khaw kamah loh nang kan tueng eh?,” a ti.
10 The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered, “They are the ones the LORD has sent to go back and forth through the earth.”
Te phoeiah cuihal ding kah aka pai hlang loh a doo tih, “He rhoek he diklai ah pongpa hamla BOEIPA loh a tueih coeng,” a ti.
11 They reported to the LORD’s angel who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked back and forth through the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and in peace.”
Te vaengah cuihal ding kah aka pai BOEIPA puencawn te a doo uh tih, “Diklai ah ka pongpa uh coeng dae diklai pum kah khosa khaw mong ngawn ke,” a ti uh.
12 Then the LORD’s angel replied, “O LORD of Hosts, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?”
13 The LORD answered the angel who talked with me with kind and comforting words.
Te dongah BOEIPA loh kai taengah aka cal puencawn te hloephoelhnah ol then ol neh a doo.
14 So the angel who talked with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘The LORD of Hosts says: “I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
Te phoeiah kai taengah aka cal puencawn loh kai taengah, “Khue lamtah, 'Caempuei BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. Jerusalem ham ka thatlai tih Zion ham khaw thatlainah len.

Tedae kai he namtom hlang aka lawn taengah thinhul bat la ka thintoek. Ka thintoek khaw yol dae amih loh boethae te a koei uh.
16 Therefore the LORD says: “I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy. My house shall be built in it,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and a line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.”’
Te dongah BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. Jerusalem la haidamnah neh ka mael ni. A khuiah ka im a sak ni. He tah caempuei BOEIPA kah olphong ni. Jerusalem te rhilam rhui ka toe ni, 'ti nah.

Koep pang lamtah, 'Caempuei BOEIPA loh he ni a thui. Ka khopuei rhoek ah hnothen neh baesawt pueng ni. BOEIPA loh Zion te koep a hloep vetih Jerusalem te koep a coelh ni, ' a ti nah,” a ti.
18 I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, four horns.
Te phoeiah ka mik te ka huel tih ka sawt hatah ki pali lawt ka hmuh.
19 I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” He answered me, “These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”
Te dongah kai taengah aka cal puencawn te, “Balae he?” ka ti nah. Tedae kai taengah, “He ki rhoek loh Judah, Israel neh Jerusalem a thaek,” a ti.
20 The LORD showed me four craftsmen.
Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh kai te kutthai pali n'tueng.
21 Then I asked, “What are these coming to do?” He said, “These are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head; but these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”
Te vaengah, “Amih aka lo long he balae a saii eh?” ka ti nah. Te dongah, “He rhoek kah ki loh Judah te a thaek uh tih hlang ol bangla a lu khaw dangrhoek thai pawh. Tedae Judah khohmuen aka tlai thil tih aka thaek ki, namtom kah ki te omtoem ham neh amih te lakueng sak hamla ha pai uh,” a ti.
