Yochanan 19
1 So Pilate then took Yeshua and flogged him.
ここにピラト、イエスをとりて鞭うつ。
2 The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown and put it on his head, and dressed him in a purple garment.
兵卒ども茨にて冠冕をあみ、その首にかむらせ、紫色の上衣をきせ、
3 They kept saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and they kept slapping him.
御許に進みて言ふ『ユダヤ人の王やすかれ』而して手掌にて打てり。
4 Then Pilate went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him.”
ピラト再び出でて人々にいふ『視よ、この人を汝らに引 出す、これは何の罪あるをも我が見ぬことを汝らの知らん爲なり』
5 Yeshua therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. Pilate said to them, “Behold, the man!”
ここにイエス茨の冠冕をかむり、紫色の上衣をきて出で給へば、ピラト言ふ『視よ、この人なり』
6 When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify!” Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him.”
祭司長・下役どもイエスを見て叫びいふ『十字架につけよ、十字架につけよ』ピラト言ふ『なんぢら自らとりて十字架につけよ、我は彼に罪あるを見ず』
7 The Judeans answered him, “We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.”
ユダヤ人こたふ『我らに律法あり、その律法によれば死に當るべき者なり、彼はおのれを神の子となせり』
8 When therefore Pilate heard this saying, he was more afraid.
ピラトこの言をききて増々おそれ、
9 He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Yeshua, “Where are you from?” But Yeshua gave him no answer.
再び官邸に入りてイエスに言ふ『なんぢは何處よりぞ』イエス答をなし給はず。
10 Pilate therefore said to him, “Aren’t you speaking to me? Don’t you know that I have power to release you and have power to crucify you?”
ピラト言ふ『われに語らぬか、我になんぢを赦す權威あり、また十字架につくる權威あるを知らぬか』
11 Yeshua answered, “You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin.”
イエス答へ給ふ『なんぢ上より賜はらずば、我に對して何の權威もなし。この故に我をなんぢに付しし者の罪は更に大なり』
12 At this, Pilate was seeking to release him, but the Judeans cried out, saying, “If you release this man, you aren’t Caesar’s friend! Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar!”
ここにおいてピラト、イエスを赦さんことを力む。されどユダヤ人さけびて言ふ『なんぢ若しこの人を赦さば、カイザルの忠臣にあらず、凡そおのれを王となす者はカイザルに叛くなり』
13 When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Yeshua out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called “The Pavement”, but in Hebrew, “Gabbatha.”
ピラトこれらの言をききて、イエスを外にひきゆき、敷石（ヘブル語にてガバタ）といふ處にて審判の座につく。
14 Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, at about the sixth hour. He said to the Judeans, “Behold, your King!”
この日は過越の準備 日にて、時は第六時ごろなりき。ピラト、ユダヤ人にいふ『視よ、なんぢらの王なり』
15 They cried out, “Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!”
かれら叫びていふ『除け、除け、十字架につけよ』ピラト言ふ『われ汝らの王を十字架につくべけんや』祭司長ら答ふ『カイザルの他われらに王なし』
16 So then he delivered him to them to be crucified. So they took Yeshua and led him away.
ここにピラト、イエスを十字架に釘くるために彼らに付せり。彼らイエスを受取りたれば、
17 He went out, bearing his cross, to the place called “The Place of a Skull”, which is called in Hebrew, “Golgotha”,
イエス己に十字架を負ひて、髑髏（ヘブル語にてゴルゴダ）といふ處に出でゆき給ふ。
18 where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Yeshua in the middle.
其處にて彼らイエスを十字架につく。又ほかに二人の者をともに十字架につけ、一人を右に、一人を左に、イエスを眞中に置けり。
19 Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written, “YESHUA OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
ピラト罪標を書きて十字架の上に掲ぐ『ユダヤ人の王、ナザレのイエス』と記したり。
20 Therefore many of the Judeans read this title, for the place where Yeshua was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.
イエスを十字架につけし處は都に近ければ、多くのユダヤ人この標を讀む、標はヘブル、ロマ、ギリシヤの語にて記したり。
21 The chief priests of the Judeans therefore said to Pilate, “Don’t write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘he said, “I am King of the Jews.”’”
ここにユダヤ人の祭司長らピラトに言ふ『ユダヤ人の王と記さず、我はユダヤ人の王なりと自稱せりと記せ』
22 Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
ピラト答ふ『わが記したることは記したるままに』
23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yeshua, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
兵卒どもイエスを十字架につけし後、その衣をとりて四つに分け、おのおの其の一つを得たり。また下衣を取りしが、下衣は縫目なく、上より惣て織りたる物なれば、
24 Then they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, “They parted my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.
兵卒ども互にいふ『これを裂くな、誰がうるか鬮にすべし』これは聖書の成就せん爲なり。曰く『かれら互にわが衣をわけ、わが衣を鬮にせり』兵卒ども斯くなしたり。
25 But standing by Yeshua’s cross were his mother, his mother’s sister, Miriam the wife of Klofah, and Miriam Magdalene.
さてイエスの十字架の傍らには、その母と母の姉妹と、クロパの妻マリヤとマグダラのマリヤと立てり。
26 Therefore when Yeshua saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
イエスその母とその愛する弟子との近く立てるを見て、母に言ひ給ふ『をんなよ、視よ、なんぢの子なり』
27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.
また弟子に言ひたまふ『視よ、なんぢの母なり』この時より、その弟子かれを己が家に接けたり。
28 After this, Yeshua, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty!”
この後イエス萬の事の終りたるを知りて、――聖書の全うせられん爲に――『われ渇く』と言ひ給ふ。
29 Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.
ここに酸き葡萄酒の滿ちたる器あり、その葡萄酒のふくみたる海綿をヒソプに著けてイエスの口に差附く。
30 When Yeshua therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
イエスその葡萄酒をうけて後いひ給ふ『事 畢りぬ』遂に首をたれて靈をわたし給ふ。
31 Therefore the Judeans, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies wouldn’t remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.
この日は準備 日なれば、ユダヤ人、安息 日に屍體を十字架のうへに留めおかじとて（殊にこの度の安息 日は大なる日なるにより）ピラトに、彼らの脛ををりて屍體を取除かんことを請ふ。
32 Therefore the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with him;
ここに兵卒ども來りて、イエスとともに十字架に釘けられたる第一の者と他のものとの脛を折り、
33 but when they came to Yeshua and saw that he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs.
而してイエスに來りしに、はや死に給ふを見て、その脛を折らず。
34 However, one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
然るに一人の兵卒、鎗にてその脅をつきたれば、直ちに血と水と流れいづ。
35 He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.
之を見しもの證をなす、其の證は眞なり、彼はその言ふことの眞なるを知る、これ汝 等にも信ぜしめん爲なり。
36 For these things happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled, “A bone of him will not be broken.”
此 等のことの成りたるは『その骨くだかれず』とある聖 句の成就せん爲なり。
37 Again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they pierced.”
また他に『かれら己が刺したる者を見るべし』と云へる聖 句あり。
38 After these things, Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Yeshua, but secretly for fear of the Judeans, asked of Pilate that he might take away Yeshua’s body. Pilate gave him permission. He came therefore and took away his body.
この後、アリマタヤのヨセフとて、ユダヤ人を懼れ密にイエスの弟子たりし者、イエスの屍體を引 取らんことをピラトに請ひたれば、ピラト許せり、乃ち往きてその屍體を引取る。
39 Nicodemus, who at first came to Yeshua by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred Roman pounds.
また曾て夜 御許に來りしニコデモも、沒藥・沈香の混和物を百 斤ばかり携へて來る。
40 So they took Yeshua’s body, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Judeans is to bury.
ここに彼らイエスの屍體をとり、ユダヤ人の葬りの習慣にしたがひて、香料とともに布にて卷けり。
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no man had ever yet been laid.
イエスの十字架につけられ給ひし處に園あり、園の中にいまだ人を葬りしことなき新しき墓あり。
42 Then, because of the Judeans’ Preparation Day (for the tomb was near at hand), they laid Yeshua there.
ユダヤ人の準備 日なれば、この墓の近きままに其處にイエスを納めたり。
