< Isaiah 22 >

1 The burden of the valley of vision. What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops?
Ọ̀rọ̀-ìmọ̀ tí ó jẹ mọ́ àfonífojì ìran. Kí ni ó ń dààmú yín báyìí, tí gbogbo yín fi gun orí òrùlé lọ?
2 You that are full of shouting, a tumultuous city, a joyous town, your slain are not slain with the sword, neither are they dead in battle.
Ìwọ ìlú tí ó kún fún rúkèrúdò, ìwọ ìlú àìtòrò òun rògbòdìyàn a kò fi idà pa àwọn òkú rẹ, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọn kò kú ní ojú ogun.
3 All your rulers fled away together. They were bound by the archers. All who were found by you were bound together. They fled far away.
Gbogbo àwọn olórí i yín ti jùmọ̀ sálọ; a ti kó wọn nígbèkùn láìlo ọfà. Ẹ̀yin tí a mú ni a ti kó lẹ́rú papọ̀, lẹ́yìn tí ẹ ti sá nígbà tí ọ̀tá ṣì wà lọ́nà jíjìn réré.
4 Therefore I said, “Look away from me. I will weep bitterly. Don’t labor to comfort me for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Nítorí náà ni mo wí pé, “Yípadà kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi: jẹ́ kí n sọkún kíkorò. Má ṣe gbìyànjú àti tù mí nínú nítorí ìparun àwọn ènìyàn mi.”
5 For it is a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity from the Lord, GOD of Hosts, in the valley of vision, a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains.”
Olúwa, Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ní ọjọ́ kan tí rúkèrúdò àti rògbòdìyàn àti ẹ̀rùjẹ̀jẹ̀ ní àfonífojì ìmọ̀, ọjọ́ tí a ń wó ògiri lulẹ̀ àti sísun ẹkún lọ sí àwọn orí òkè.
6 Elam carried his quiver, with chariots of men and horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield.
Elamu mú apó-ọfà lọ́wọ́, pẹ̀lú àwọn agun-kẹ̀kẹ́-ogun àti àwọn ẹṣin, Kiri yọ àpáta rẹ̀ síta.
7 Your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate.
Àyànfẹ́ àfonífojì rẹ kún fún kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun, àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣin ni a gbá jọ sí ẹnu-bodè ìlú.
8 He took away the covering of Judah; and you looked in that day to the armor in the house of the forest.
Gbogbo ààbò Juda ni a ti ká kúrò. Ìwọ sì gbójú sókè ní ọjọ́ náà sí àwọn ohun ìjà ní ààfin ti inú aginjù.
9 You saw the breaches of David’s city, that they were many; and you gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
Ìwọ rí i pé ìlú u Dafidi ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ààyè níbi ààbò rẹ̀, ìwọ ti tọ́jú omi sínú adágún ti ìsàlẹ̀.
10 You counted the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.
Ìwọ ka àwọn ilé tí ó wà ní Jerusalẹmu ó sì wó ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ilé lulẹ̀ láti fún ògiri lágbára.
11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you didn’t look to him who had done this, neither did you have respect for him who planned it long ago.
Ìwọ mọ agbemi sí àárín ògiri méjì fún omi inú adágún àtijọ́, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ kò wo ẹni tí ó ṣe é tẹ́lẹ̀ tàbí kí o kọbi ara sí ẹni tí ó gbèrò rẹ̀ ní ìgbà pípẹ́ sẹ́yìn.
12 In that day, the Lord, GOD of Hosts, called to weeping, to mourning, to baldness, and to dressing in sackcloth;

13 and behold, there is joy and gladness, killing cattle and killing sheep, eating meat and drinking wine: “Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die.”
Ṣùgbọ́n wò ó, ayọ̀ àti ayẹyẹ wà; màlúù pípa àti àgùntàn pípa, ẹran jíjẹ àti ọtí wáìnì mímu! Ẹ̀yin wí pé, “Jẹ́ kí a jẹ kí a mu, nítorí pé lọ́la àwa ó kú!”
14 The LORD of Hosts revealed himself in my ears, “Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die,” says the Lord, GOD of Hosts.
Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun ti sọ èyí di mí mọ̀ létí ì mi: “Títí di ọjọ́ ikú yín a kò ní ṣe ètùtù fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yìí,” ni Olúwa wí, àní Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun.
15 The Lord, GOD of Hosts says, “Go, get yourself to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,

16 ‘What are you doing here? Who has you here, that you have dug out a tomb here?’ Cutting himself out a tomb on high, chiseling a habitation for himself in the rock!”

“Kíyèsára, Olúwa fẹ́ gbá ọ mú gírígírí kí ó sì jù ọ́ nù, ìwọ ọkùnrin alágbára.
18 He will surely wind you around and around, and throw you like a ball into a large country. There you will die, and there the chariots of your glory will be, you disgrace of your lord’s house.
Òun yóò ká ọ rúgúdù bí i òkìtì yóò sì sọ ọ́ sí orílẹ̀-èdè ńlá kan. Níbẹ̀ ni ìwọ yóò sì kú sí àti níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ni àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun àràmọ̀ǹdà rẹ yóò wà— ìwọ di ìtìjú sí ilé ọ̀gá rẹ!

20 It will happen in that day that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah,

21 and I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt. I will commit your government into his hand; and he will be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

25 “In that day,” says the LORD of Hosts, “the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for the LORD has spoken it.”
“Ní ọjọ́ náà,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí, “Èèkàn tí a kàn mọ́lẹ̀ gírígírí ní ààyè e rẹ̀ yóò yẹrí, yóò dẹ̀gbẹ́ yóò sì fẹ̀gbẹ́ lélẹ̀ àti ẹrù tí ó létéńté lórí i rẹ̀ ni a ó gé lulẹ̀.” Olúwa ni ó ti sọ ọ́.
