< Hebrews 4 >
1 Let’s fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
Afei esiane sɛ bɔhyɛ a ɛfa ne mu home ho no da so gyina hɔ nti, momma yɛnhwɛ yiye na mo mu bi antɔ sin wɔ mu.
2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.
Efisɛ wɔaka asɛmpa no akyerɛ yɛn sɛnea wɔka kyerɛ wɔn no. Nanso wɔammu asɛm a wɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn no, efisɛ wɔn a wotiee no no annye anni.
3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Na yɛn a yɛagye adi no nko ara na yɛkɔ saa ɔhome no mu sɛnea Onyankopɔn aka se, “Enti mifi mʼabufuw mu ka ntam se, ‘Wɔrenhyɛn asase a anka mede wɔn rekɔ so no mu da.’” Ɔkaa saa asɛm yi de, nanso efi bere a ɔbɔɔ wiase no, na wawie ɔhome dwumadi no dedaw.
4 For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”
Na Kyerɛwsɛm no mu baabi wɔ hɔ a wɔka biribi fa da a ɛto so ason no ho se, “Da a ɛto so ason no, Onyankopɔn home fii ne nnwuma nyinaa mu.”
5 and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”
Wɔkaa saa asɛm koro yi ara bio se, “Wɔrenhyɛn asase a anka mede wɔn rekɔ so no mu da.”
6 Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,
Wɔn a wodii kan tee Asɛmpa no annya saa ahome no, efisɛ wɔannye anni. Afoforo bi nso wɔ hɔ a wama wɔn kwan sɛ wonnya ɔhome no.
7 he again defines a certain day, “today”, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”
Enti Onyankopɔn aka se wayi da bi ato hɔ a wɔfrɛ no “Nnɛ.” Mfe bebree akyi no, ɔnam Dawid so kaa wɔ Kyerɛwsɛm no mu se, “Nnɛ, sɛ mote Onyankopɔn nne a mummpirim mo koma.”
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
Sɛ Yosua dii nnipa no anim de wɔn kɔɔ Onyankopɔn home mu a, anka akyiri no Onyankopɔn anka da foforo ho asɛm.
9 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
Sɛnea ɛte no, ɔhome da so wɔ hɔ ma Onyankopɔn nkurɔfo, sɛnea Onyankopɔn homee da a ɛto so ason no.
10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
Obiara a ɔbɛhome wɔ Onyankopɔn mu no bɛhome afi nʼankasa ne nnwuma mu, sɛnea Onyankopɔn home fii ne nnwuma mu no.
11 Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
Enti momma yɛmmɔ yɛn ho mmɔden na yɛatumi akɔ Onyankopɔn home mu. Ɛnsɛ sɛ yɛn mu bi yɛ asoɔden sɛnea wɔyɛɛ asoɔden a enti wɔankɔ mu no.
12 For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Onyankopɔn asɛm yɛ nkwa, na ahoɔden wɔ mu. Ɛyɛ nnam sen afoa anofanu. Ehwirew mu kosi sɛ ɛpaapae honhom ne ɔkra, apɔw so ne hon mu. Ɛyɛ koma nsusuwii ne adwene temmufo.
13 There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
Biribiara nni hɔ a wɔde sie Onyankopɔn ma ɛyɛ yiye. Abɔde mu biribiara da nʼanim na ɔno na ɛsɛ sɛ yebu ho akontaa kyerɛ.
14 Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Yeshua, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.
Ɛno nti, momma yenso gyidi a yɛka ho asɛm no mu den. Efisɛ yɛwɔ Ɔsɔfopanyin kɛse wɔ Onyankopɔn anim.
15 For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
Yenni Ɔsɔfopanyin bi a ontumi nhwɛ yɛn mmerɛwyɛ ho nhu yɛn mmɔbɔ. Yɛwɔ obi a wɔasɔ no ahwɛ wɔ akwan ahorow nyinaa so sɛ yɛn ara, nanso wanyɛ bɔne.
16 Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
Momma yensi yɛn bo na yɛmmra Onyankopɔn ahengua a adom wɔ mu no anim, na ɛno na ɛbɛma yɛanya ahummɔbɔ ne adom a ɛbɛboa yɛn wɔ bere a ɛsɛ mu.
