Ephesians 5
1 Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
されば汝ら愛せらるる子供のごとく、神に效ふ者となれ。
2 Walk in love, even as Messiah also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
又キリストの汝らを愛し、我らのために己を馨しき香の献物とし犧牲として、神に献げ給ひし如く、愛の中をあゆめ。
3 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes holy ones;
聖徒たるに適ふごとく、淫行、もろもろの汚穢、また慳貪を汝らの間にて稱ふる事だに爲な。
4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate, but rather giving of thanks.
また恥づべき言・愚なる話・戯言を言ふな、これ宜しからぬ事なり、寧ろ感謝せよ。
5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man (who is an idolater), has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Messiah and God.
凡て淫行のもの、汚れたるもの、貪るもの、即ち偶像を拜む者どもの、キリストと神との國の世嗣たることを得ざるは、汝らの確く知る所なり。
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
汝ら人の虚しき言に欺かるな、神の怒はこれらの事によりて不 從順の子らに及ぶなり。
7 Therefore don’t be partakers with them.
この故に彼らに與する者となるな。
8 For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
汝ら舊は闇なりしが、今は主に在りて光となれり、光の子供のごとく歩め。
9 for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
（光の結ぶ實はもろもろの善と正義と誠實となり）
10 proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
主の喜び給ふところの如何なるかを辨へ知れ。
11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
實を結ばぬ暗き業に與する事なく、反つて之を責めよ。
12 For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
彼らが隱れて行ふことは之を言ふだに恥づべき事なり。
13 But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.
凡てかかる事は、責めらるるとき光にて顯さる、顯さるる者はみな光となるなり。
14 Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.”
この故に言ひ給ふ『眠れる者よ、起きよ、死人の中より立ち上れ。さらばキリスト汝を照し給はん』
15 Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,
されば愼みてその歩むところに心せよ、智からぬ者の如くせず、智き者の如くし、
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
また機會をうかがへ、そは時 惡しければなり。
17 Therefore, don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
この故に愚とならず、主の御意の如何を悟れ。
18 Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
酒に醉ふな、放蕩はその中にあり、むしろ御靈にて滿され、
19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
詩と讃美と靈の歌とをもて語り合ひ、また主に向ひて心より且うたひ、かつ讃美せよ。
20 giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah to God, even the Father;
凡ての事に就きて常に我らの主イエス・キリストの名によりて父なる神に感謝し、
21 subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Messiah.
キリストを畏みて互に服へ。
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
妻たる者よ、主に服ふごとく己の夫に服へ。
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Messiah also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
キリストは自ら體の救主にして教會の首なるごとく、夫は妻の首なればなり。
24 But as the assembly is subject to Messiah, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
教會のキリストに服ふごとく、妻も凡てのこと夫に服へ。
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Messiah also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her,
夫たる者よ、キリストの教會を愛し、之がために己を捨て給ひしごとく、汝らも妻を愛せよ。
26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
キリストの己を捨て給ひしは、水の洗をもて言によりて教會を潔め、これを聖なる者として、
27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect.
汚點なく皺なく、凡て斯くのごとき類なく、潔き瑕なき尊き教會を、おのれの前に建てん爲なり。
28 Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
斯くのごとく夫はその妻を己の體のごとく愛すべし。妻を愛するは己を愛するなり。
29 For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly,
己の身を憎む者は曾てあることなし、皆これを育て養ふ、キリストの教會に於けるも亦かくの如し。
30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.
我らは彼の體の肢なり、
31 “For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh.”
『この故に人は父 母を離れ、その妻に合ひて二人のもの一體となるべし』
32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Messiah and the assembly.
この奧義は大なり、わが言ふ所はキリストと教會とを指せるなり。
33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
汝 等おのおの己のごとく其の妻を愛せよ、妻も亦その夫を敬ふべし。
