< 2 Chronicles 29 >

1 Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.
Hesekiah sì jẹ́ ẹni ọdún mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n nígbà tí ó di ọba, ó sì jẹ ọba ní Jerusalẹmu fún ọdún mọ́kàndínlọ́gbọ̀n orúkọ ìyá rẹ̀ sì ni Abijah ọmọbìnrin Sekariah.
2 He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, according to all that David his father had done.
Ó sì ṣe ohun tí ó tọ́ ní ojú Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí baba rẹ̀ Dafidi ti ṣe.
3 In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the LORD’s house and repaired them.
Ní oṣù àkọ́kọ́ ní ọdún kìn-ín-ní ìjọba rẹ̀, ó sì ṣí àwọn ìlẹ̀kùn ilé Olúwa ó sì tún wọn ṣe.
4 He brought in the priests and the Levites and gathered them together into the wide place on the east,
Ó sì mú àwọn àlùfáà wá àti àwọn ọmọ Lefi, ó sì kó wọn jọ yíká ìta ìlà-oòrùn.
5 and said to them, “Listen to me, you Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD, the God of your fathers, and carry the filthiness out of the holy place.
Ó sì wí pé, “Ẹ gbọ́ tèmi, ẹ̀yin ọmọ Lefi! Ẹ ya ara yín sí mímọ́ nísinsin yìí kí ẹ sì ya ilé Olúwa Ọlọ́run sí mímọ́, kí ẹ sì kó ohun àìmọ́ baba mi jáde kúrò ní ibi mímọ́.
6 For our fathers were unfaithful, and have done that which was evil in the LORD our God’s sight, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
Àwọn baba wa jẹ́ aláìṣòótọ́; wọ́n sì ṣe ohun àìtọ́ níwájú Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa, wọ́n sì kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀. Wọ́n sì yí ojú wọn padà kúrò ní ibùgbé Olúwa, wọ́n sì pa ẹ̀yìn wọn dà sí i.
7 Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel.
Wọ́n sì tún ti ìlẹ̀kùn ìloro náà pẹ̀lú, wọ́n sì pa fìtílà. Wọn kò sì sun tùràrí tàbí pèsè ẹbọ sísun si ibi mímọ́ si Ọlọ́run Israẹli.
8 Therefore the LORD’s wrath was on Judah and Jerusalem, and he has delivered them to be tossed back and forth, to be an astonishment and a hissing, as you see with your eyes.
Nítorí náà, ìbínú Olúwa ti ru sókè wá sórí Juda àti Jerusalẹmu ó sì ti fi wọ́n ṣe ohun èlò fún wàhálà, àti ìdààmú àti ẹ̀sín, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ṣe fi ojú rẹ̀ rí i.
9 For behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.
Ìdí nìyí tí àwọn baba wa ṣe ṣubú nípa idà àti ìdí tí àwọn ọmọkùnrin àti ọmọbìnrin àti àwọn aya wa tiwọn kó wọ́n ní ìgbèkùn.
10 Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.
Nísinsin yìí ó wà ní ọkàn mi láti bá Olúwa Ọlọ́run Israẹli dá májẹ̀mú. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí ìbínú rẹ̀ kíkan kí ó lè yípadà kúrò lọ́dọ̀ wa.
11 My sons, don’t be negligent now; for the LORD has chosen you to stand before him, to minister to him, and that you should be his ministers and burn incense.”
Àwọn ọmọ mi, ẹ má ṣe jáfara nísinsin yìí, nítorí tí Olúwa ti yàn yín láti dúró níwájú rẹ̀ láti sin, kí ẹ sì máa ṣe ìránṣẹ́ níwájú rẹ̀ àti láti sun tùràrí.”
12 Then the Levites arose: Mahath, the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites; and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershonites, Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah;
Nígbà náà àwọn ọmọ Lefi wọ̀nyí múra láti ṣe iṣẹ́: nínú àwọn ọmọ Kohati, Mahati ọmọ Amasai: àti Joẹli ọmọ Asariah; nínú àwọn ọmọ Merari, Kiṣi ọmọ Abdi àti Asariah ọmọ Jehaleeli; nínú àwọn ọmọ Gerṣoni, Joah, ọmọ Simma àti Edeni ọmọ Joah;
13 and of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeuel; and of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;
nínú àwọn ọmọ Elisafani, Ṣimri àti Jeieli; nínú àwọn ọmọ Asafu, Sekariah àti Mattaniah;
14 and of the sons of Heman, Jehuel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.
nínú àwọn ọmọ Hemani, Jehieli àti Ṣimei; nínú àwọn ọmọ Jedutuni, Ṣemaiah àti Usieli.
15 They gathered their brothers, sanctified themselves, and went in, according to the commandment of the king by the LORD’s words, to cleanse the LORD’s house.
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ti kó ara wọn jọ pọ̀ pẹ̀lú àwọn arákùnrin wọn, wọ́n sì ya ara wọn sí mímọ́, wọ́n sì lọ láti gbá ilé Olúwa mọ́, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba ti pa á láṣẹ, ẹ tẹ̀lé ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa.
16 The priests went into the inner part of the LORD’s house to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the LORD’s temple into the court of the LORD’s house. The Levites took it from there to carry it out to the brook Kidron.
Àwọn àlùfáà sì wọ inú ilé Olúwa lọ́hùn ún lọ láti gbá a mọ́. Wọ́n sì gbé e jáde sí inú àgbàlá ilé Olúwa gbogbo ohun àìmọ́ tí wọ́n rí nínú ilé Olúwa. Àwọn ọmọ Lefi sì mú u wọ́n sì gbangba odò Kidironi.
17 Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month they came to the LORD’s porch. They sanctified the LORD’s house in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.
Wọ́n sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ ìyàsímímọ́ ní ọjọ́ kìn-ín-ní oṣù kìn-ín-ní, àti ní ọjọ́ kẹjọ oṣù náà wọ́n sì dé ìloro Olúwa. Fún ọjọ́ mẹ́jọ mìíràn sí i, wọ́n sì ya ilé Olúwa sí mímọ́ fúnra rẹ̀. Wọ́n sì parí ní ọjọ́ kẹrìndínlógún oṣù kìn-ín-ní.
18 Then they went in to Hezekiah the king within the palace and said, “We have cleansed all the LORD’s house, including the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, and the table of show bread with all its vessels.
Nígbà náà wọn sì lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ ọba Hesekiah láti lọ jábọ̀ fún un: “Àwa ti gbá ilé Olúwa mọ́, pẹpẹ ẹbọ sísun pẹ̀lú gbogbo ohun ẹbọ rẹ̀, àti tábìlì àkàrà ìfihàn, pẹ̀lú gbogbo ohun èlò.
19 Moreover, we have prepared and sanctified all the vessels which King Ahaz threw away in his reign when he was unfaithful. Behold, they are before the LORD’s altar.”
A ti pèsè a sì ti yà sí mímọ́ gbogbo ohun èlò tí ọba Ahasi ti sọ di aláìmọ́ nínú àìṣòótọ́ rẹ̀ nígbà tí ó jẹ́ ọba; nísinsin yìí, wọ́n wà níwájú pẹpẹ Olúwa.”
20 Then Hezekiah the king arose early, gathered the princes of the city, and went up to the LORD’s house.
Ní kùtùkùtù òwúrọ̀ ọjọ́ kejì, ọba Hesekiah sì kó olórí àwọn ìjòyè jọ, ó sì lọ sókè ilé Olúwa.
21 They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. He commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the LORD’s altar.
Wọ́n sì mú akọ màlúù méje wá, àti àgbò méje, àti ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn méje àti òbúkọ méje gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹbọ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ fún ìjọba, fún ibi mímọ́ àti fún Juda. Ọba pàṣẹ fun àwọn àlùfáà, àwọn ọmọ Aaroni, láti ṣe èyí lórí pẹpẹ Olúwa.
22 So they killed the bulls, and the priests received the blood and sprinkled it on the altar. They killed the rams and sprinkled the blood on the altar. They also killed the lambs and sprinkled the blood on the altar.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n sì pa akọ màlúù, àwọn àlùfáà mú ẹ̀jẹ̀ náà, wọ́n sì fi wọ́n ara pẹpẹ. Bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ ni nígbà tí wọ́n pa àgbò, wọ́n sì fi ẹ̀jẹ̀ wọ́n orí pẹpẹ. Nígbà náà wọ́n sì pa ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn, wọ́n sì fi ẹ̀jẹ̀ wọn ara pẹpẹ.
23 They brought near the male goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly; and they laid their hands on them.
Òbúkọ fún ẹbọ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ni wọ́n gbé wá síwájú ọba àti ìjọ ènìyàn, wọ́n sì gbé ọwọ́ lé wọn.
24 Then the priests killed them, and they made a sin offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel; for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.
Àwọn àlùfáà wọn sì pa òbúkọ, wọ́n sì gbé ẹ̀jẹ̀ kalẹ̀ lórí pẹpẹ fún ẹbọ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ láti ṣe ètùtù fún gbogbo Israẹli, nítorí ọba ti pàṣẹ kí a ṣe ẹbọ sísun àti ẹbọ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ fún gbogbo Israẹli.
25 He set the Levites in the LORD’s house with cymbals, with stringed instruments, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet; for the commandment was from the LORD by his prophets.
Ó sì mú àwọn Lefi dúró nínú ilé Olúwa pẹ̀lú Kimbali, ohun èlò orin olókùn àti dùùrù ní ọ̀nà tí a ti paláṣẹ fún wọn láti ọ̀dọ̀ Dafidi àti Gadi aríran ọba àti Natani wòlíì. Èyí ni a pàṣẹ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa láti ọwọ́ àwọn wòlíì rẹ̀.
26 The Levites stood with David’s instruments, and the priests with the shofars.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwọn ọmọ Lefi sì dúró pẹ̀lú ohun èlò orin Dafidi, àti àwọn àlùfáà pẹ̀lú ìpè wọn.
27 Hezekiah commanded them to offer the burnt offering on the altar. When the burnt offering began, the LORD’s song also began, along with the shofars and instruments of David king of Israel.
Hesekiah sì pa á láṣẹ láti rú ẹbọ sísun lórí pẹpẹ, bí ẹbọ sísun náà ti bẹ̀rẹ̀, orin sí Olúwa bẹ̀rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìpè àti pẹ̀lú ohun èlò orin Dafidi ọba Israẹli.
28 All the assembly worshiped, the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded. All this continued until the burnt offering was finished.
Gbogbo ìjọ ènìyàn náà sì wólẹ̀ sìn, àwọn akọrin kọrin, àwọn afùnpè sì fọn ìpè, gbogbo wọ̀nyí sì wà bẹ́ẹ̀ títí ẹbọ sísun náà fi parí tán.
29 When they had finished offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshiped.
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ṣe ìparí ẹbọ rírú, ọba àti gbogbo àwọn tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ tẹ ara wọn ba, wọ́n sì sìn.
30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. They sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.
Pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú Hesekiah ọba, àti àwọn ìjòyè pàṣẹ fún àwọn ọmọ Lefi, láti fi ọ̀rọ̀ Dafidi àti ti Asafu aríran, kọrin ìyìn sí Olúwa: wọ́n sì fi inú dídùn kọrin ìyìn, wọ́n sì tẹrí wọn ba, wọ́n sì sìn.
31 Then Hezekiah answered, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the LORD’s house.” The assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings.
Nígbà náà ni Hesekiah dáhùn, ó sì wí pé, nísinsin yìí, ọwọ́ yín kún fún ẹ̀bùn fún Olúwa, ẹ súnmọ́ ìhín, kí ẹ sì mú ẹbọ àti ọrẹ-ọpẹ́ wá sínú ilé Olúwa. Ìjọ ènìyàn sì mú ẹbọ àti ọrẹ-ọpẹ́ wá; àti olúkúlùkù tí ọkàn rẹ̀ fẹ́, mú ẹbọ sísun wá.
32 The number of the burnt offerings which the assembly brought was seventy bulls, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs. All these were for a burnt offering to the LORD.
Iye ẹbọ sísun, tí ìjọ ènìyàn mú wá, sì jẹ́ àádọ́rin akọ màlúù, àti ọgọ́rùn-ún àgbò, àti igba ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn, gbogbo wọ̀nyí sì ni fún ẹbọ sísun sí Olúwa.
33 The consecrated things were six hundred head of cattle and three thousand sheep.
Àwọn ohun ìyàsímímọ́ sì jẹ́ ẹgbẹ̀ta màlúù, àti ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́ta àgùntàn.
34 But the priests were too few, so that they could not skin all the burnt offerings. Therefore their brothers the Levites helped them until the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves, for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn àlùfáà kò pọ̀ tó, wọn kò sì le bó gbogbo àwọn ẹran ẹbọ sísun náà: nítorí náà àwọn arákùnrin wọn, àwọn Lefi ràn wọ́n lọ́wọ́, títí iṣẹ́ náà fi parí, àti títí àwọn àlùfáà ìyókù fi yà wọ́n sí mímọ́: nítorí àwọn ọmọ Lefi ṣe olóòtítọ́ ní ọkàn ju àwọn àlùfáà lọ láti ya ara wọn sí mímọ́.
35 Also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings and with the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the LORD’s house was set in order.
Àti pẹ̀lú, àwọn ẹbọ sísun pàpọ̀jù, pẹ̀lú ọ̀rá ẹbọ àlàáfíà, pẹ̀lú ẹbọ ohun mímu fún ẹbọ sísun. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a sì tún bẹ̀rẹ̀ iṣẹ́ ìsìn ilé Olúwa.
36 Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because of that which God had prepared for the people; for the thing was done suddenly.
Hesekiah sì yọ̀, àti gbogbo ènìyàn pé, Ọlọ́run ti múra àwọn ènìyàn náà sílẹ̀, nítorí lójijì ni a ṣe nǹkan náà.
