< 2 Chronicles 17 >
1 Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place, and strengthened himself against Israel.
Jehoṣafati ọmọ rẹ̀ sì jẹ ọba ní ipò rẹ̀ ó sì mú ara rẹ̀ lágbára sí lórí Israẹli.
2 He placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
Ó sì fi ogun sínú gbogbo ìlú olódi Juda ó sì kó ẹgbẹ́ ológun ní Juda àti nínú ìlú Efraimu tí Asa baba rẹ̀ ti gbà.
3 The LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and didn’t seek the Baals,

Ṣùgbọ́n ó wá Ọlọ́run baba rẹ̀ kiri ó sì tẹ̀lé àṣẹ rẹ̀ ju iṣẹ́ Israẹli.
5 Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand. All Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance.
