< Zechariah 3 >
1 He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the LORD’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.
Ó sì fi Joṣua olórí àlùfáà hàn mí, ó dúró níwájú angẹli Olúwa, Satani sí dúró lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀ láti kọjú ìjà sí i.
2 The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! Yes, the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”
Olúwa si wí fún Satani pé, “Olúwa bá ọ wí ìwọ Satani; àní Olúwa tí ó ti yan Jerusalẹmu, bá ọ wí, igi iná kọ́ ni èyí tí a mú kúrò nínú iná?”
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel.
A sì wọ Joṣua ni aṣọ èérí, ó sì dúró níwájú angẹli náà.
4 He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”
Ó sì dáhùn ó wí fún àwọn tí ó dúró níwájú rẹ̀ pé, “Bọ́ aṣọ èérí nì kúrò ní ara rẹ̀.” Ó sì wí fún Joṣua pé, “Wò ó, mo mú kí àìṣedéédéé rẹ̀ kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, èmi yóò sì wọ̀ ọ́ ní aṣọ ẹ̀yẹ.”
5 I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and the LORD’s angel was standing by.
Mó sì wí pé, “Jẹ kí wọn fi gèlè mímọ́ wé e lórí.” Wọn sì fi gèlè mímọ́ wé e lórí, wọn sì fi aṣọ wọ̀ ọ́. Angẹli Olúwa sì dúró tì í.
6 The LORD’s angel solemnly assured Joshua, saying,
Angẹli Olúwa sì tẹnumọ́ ọn fún Joṣua pé:
7 “The LORD of Hosts says: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access amongst these who stand by.
“Báyìí ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí: ‘Bí ìwọ ọ́ bá rìn ní ọ̀nà mi, bí ìwọ yóò bá sì pa àṣẹ mi mọ́, ìwọ yóò sì ṣe ìdájọ́ ilé mi pẹ̀lú, ìwọ yóò sì ṣe àkóso ààfin mi, èmi yóò fún ọ ní ààyè láti rìn láàrín àwọn tí ó dúró yìí.
8 Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign; for, behold, I will bring out my servant, the Branch.
“‘Gbọ́, ìwọ Joṣua olórí àlùfáà, ìwọ, àti àwọn ẹgbẹ́ rẹ tí ó jókòó níwájú rẹ: nítorí ẹni ìyanu ni wọ́n: nítorí kíyèsi i, èmi yóò mú ẹ̀ka náà wá fun ìránṣẹ́ mi.
9 For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua: on one stone are seven eyes; behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ says the LORD of Hosts, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Nítorí kíyèsi i, òkúta tí mo tí gbé kalẹ̀ níwájú Joṣua; lórí òkúta kan ni ojú méje wà: kíyèsi i, èmi yóò fín àkọlé rẹ̀,’ ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí, ‘Èmi yóò sì mú ẹ̀bi ilẹ̀ náà kúrò ní ọjọ́ kan.
10 In that day,’ says the LORD of Hosts, ‘you will invite every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.’”
