< Song of Solomon 2 >

1 I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.
Mounu: Kei hi Sharon phaichama pahcha chule phaichama lily pah kahi.
2 As a lily amongst thorns, so is my love amongst the daughters.
Moulang: Ahi ngeije, lingnang lah-a lily aum bang in, nungah khangdong ho lah-a kadei nu aum e.
3 As the apple tree amongst the trees of the wood, so is my beloved amongst the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, his fruit was sweet to my taste.
Mounu: Thei-hon sunga theithup twipen aum bang in, gollhang khangdong lah-in ka dongma pa aum’e. Alimdam noija keima ka touvin, atheiga twitah chu kane’e.
4 He brought me to the banquet hall. His banner over me is love.
Aman golvahna in dan sung ah ei kilhon lutpin, eikhohsah dan hi akichen lheh jeng’e.
5 Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples; for I am faint with love.
Lengpi theigan nei thahatsah-in lang, theithup gan nei kidodoh sah-in, ijeh-inem itileh keima nangma ngaija haisam pai ding kahi.
6 His left hand is under my head. His right hand embraces me.
Aban veilam ka kikhap in, aban jet in eijut lelei.
7 I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, or by the hinds of the field, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.
Vo Jerusalem chanute, lou jaova sapeng le sakhi min pan’a katem nahiuve; achama ahung kipatdoh ngal lou leh kideina hi nanghon tildoh tho ahilouleh suh-khahtho din got dauvin.
8 The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes, leaping on the mountains, skipping on the hills.
O, kangai penpa ahung phei gin kajai! Molsang sang ahinlhah-in, alhang alhang ahin lhah-e.
9 My beloved is like a roe or a young deer. Behold, he stands behind our wall! He looks in at the windows. He glances through the lattice.
Kangaipa hi man-gangtah sapeng gol tobang le sakhi chalgol tobang ahi. Veuvin, bangtom ah khun ama ading in; bangkot vangkah-a kon in ahin ven, pindan sung ahin velhin ahi.
10 My beloved spoke, and said to me, “Rise up, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.
Kangaipan aseije, “Kithouvin, ngainu! Hiti hin kijot mang ta hite, O melhoi!
11 For behold, the winter is past. The rain is over and gone.
Ven, phalbi a kichai tai; chule gojuh jong atang tai.
12 The flowers appear on the earth. The time of the singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
Pahchate ahung jamdoh tauvin, vachate mao jinjen lai phat kum kihei ahung lhung tan, vahui hamgin in ikom-ivel khohui alodim tai.
13 The fig tree ripens her green figs. The vines are in blossom. They give out their fragrance. Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.”
Theichang aga pantan, chule lengpipah gimvui akitung tai. Thouvin, ngainu! Hung in gavahdoh hite, O melhoi!”
14 My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places of the mountainside, let me see your face. Let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely.
Moulang: Kol song panga songpi khi kah-ah kavakhu akiselle. Na somai nei musah-in, na awgin nei jahsah in. Ajeh chu na awgin angeiyin, na somai ahoi ngeije.
15 Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that plunder the vineyards; for our vineyards are in blossom.
Zailom: Sealte khu man uvin, khuche sealneo ho khun kingailutna lengpilei laidung ahin chilthang masang uvin, man uvin, ijeh-inem itileh lengpithei pahlai ahitai!
16 My beloved is mine, and I am his. He browses amongst the lilies.
Mounu: Ka ngailutpa hi keija ahi in, keima ama-a kahi. Aman kelngoite Lily pahho lah-in alhajin, avahva ji’e.
17 Until the day is cool, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be like a roe or a young deer on the mountains of Bether.
Khovahkon huilhi ahung nun masang, chule jan muthim lim jong akihei mang masang in, ka heng hin jon kit in; O ka ngai goldei, Bether lhangdunga sa peng gol ahilouleh sakhi chalgol hunglhai bangchan hung kit teijin.
