< Psalms 85 >
1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by the sons of Korah. LORD, you have been favourable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob.
in finem filiis Core psalmus benedixisti Domine terram tuam avertisti captivitatem Iacob
2 You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. (Selah)
remisisti iniquitates plebis tuae operuisti omnia peccata eorum diapsalma
3 You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger.
mitigasti omnem iram tuam avertisti ab ira indignationis tuae
4 Turn us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation towards us to cease.
converte nos Deus salutum nostrarum et averte iram tuam a nobis
5 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?
numquid in aeternum irasceris nobis aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem
6 Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
Deus tu conversus vivificabis nos et plebs tua laetabitur in te
7 Show us your loving kindness, LORD. Grant us your salvation.
ostende nobis Domine misericordiam tuam et salutare tuum da nobis
8 I will hear what God, the LORD, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his holy ones; but let them not turn again to folly.
audiam quid loquatur in me Dominus Deus quoniam loquetur pacem in plebem suam et super sanctos suos et in eos qui convertuntur ad cor
9 Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
verumtamen prope timentes eum salutare ipsius ut inhabitet gloria in terra nostra
10 Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
misericordia et veritas obviaverunt sibi iustitia et pax osculatae sunt
11 Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven.
veritas de terra orta est et iustitia de caelo prospexit
12 Yes, the LORD will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.
etenim Dominus dabit benignitatem et terra nostra dabit fructum suum
13 Righteousness goes before him, and prepares the way for his steps.
iustitia ante eum ambulabit et ponet in via gressus suos
