< Psalms 79 >

1 A Psalm by Asaph. God, the nations have come into your inheritance. They have defiled your holy temple. They have laid Jerusalem in heaps.
Abụ Ọma Asaf. O Chineke, mba dị iche iche abatala nʼihe nketa gị; ha emerụọla ụlọnsọ ukwuu gị, ha etikpọọla Jerusalem, mee ka ọ tọgbọrọ nʼefu.
2 They have given the dead bodies of your servants to be food for the birds of the sky, the flesh of your holy ones to the animals of the earth.
Ha ewerela ozu ndị ohu gị nye anụ ufe niile nke eluigwe ka ọ bụrụ ihe oriri nye ha, werekwa ozu nke ndị nsọ gị nye anụ ọhịa niile nke ụwa.
3 They have shed their blood like water around Jerusalem. There was no one to bury them.
Ha awụpụla ọbara dịka mmiri nʼakụkụ niile nke Jerusalem, ọ dịghị otu onye fọdụrụ nke ga-eli ndị nwụrụ anwụ.
4 We have become a reproach to our neighbours, a scoffing and derision to those who are around us.
Anyị aghọọla ihe ịta ụta nʼebe ndị agbataobi anyị nọ, ghọọkwara ndị gbara anyị gburugburu ihe ịchị ọchị, na ihe ịkwa emo.
5 How long, LORD? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?
O Onyenwe anyị, ruo olee mgbe? Ị ga-ewe iwe ruo mgbe ebighị ebi? Ruo olee mgbe ka ekworo gị ga na-ere dịka ọkụ?
6 Pour out your wrath on the nations that don’t know you, on the kingdoms that don’t call on your name,
Wụkwasị mba niile ndị na-amaghị gị dịka Chineke oke iwe gị, bụ alaeze niile ndị ahụ na-adịghị akpọku aha gị;
7 for they have devoured Jacob, and destroyed his homeland.
nʼihi na ha eripịala Jekọb mekwaa ka ebe obibi ya tọgbọrọ nʼefu.
8 Don’t hold the iniquities of our forefathers against us. Let your tender mercies speedily meet us, for we are in desperate need.
Atala anyị ahụhụ mmehie nke nna nna anyị mere; ka ebere gị bịa ngwangwa zute anyị, nʼihi na anyị nọ nʼọnọdụ oke mkpa.
9 Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name’s sake.
Nyere anyị aka, O Chineke, Onye Nzọpụta anyị, nʼihi ebube nke aha gị; napụta anyị, gbaghara mmehie anyị niile nʼihi aha gị.
10 Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let it be known amongst the nations, before our eyes, that vengeance for your servants’ blood is being poured out.
Gịnị mere ndị mba ọzọ ji na-ajụ ajụjụ sị, “Olee ebe Chineke ha nọ?” Nʼihu anyị, mee ka a mara nʼetiti ndị mba ọzọ, na ị na-abọ ọbọ ọbara ndị ohu gị niile a wufuru.
11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you. According to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are sentenced to death.
Gee ntị nʼịsụ ude nke ndị nọ nʼụlọ mkpọrọ; site nʼike nke aka gị chebe ndị niile a mara ikpe ọnwụ.
12 Pay back to our neighbours seven times into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached you, Lord.
Bọọ ọbọ ugboro asaa megide ndị agbataobi anyị nʼihi ụta ha tara gị, O Onyenwe anyị.
13 So we, your people and sheep of your pasture, will give you thanks forever. We will praise you forever, to all generations.
Mgbe ahụ, anyị bụ ndị gị, ụmụ igwe atụrụ gị ga-eto gị ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi; anyị ga na-ekwupụta otuto gị, site nʼọgbọ ruo nʼọgbọ.
