< Psalms 72 >
1 By Solomon. God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.
Bože, daj caru sud svoj, i pravdu svoju sinu carevu:
2 He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.
On æe suditi narodu tvojemu po pravdi, i nevoljnicima tvojim po pravici.
3 The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
Rodiæe narodu gore mirom, i humovi pravdom.
4 He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.
On æe suditi nevoljnima u narodu, pomoæi æe sinovima ništega, i nasilnika æe oboriti,
5 They shall fear you while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
Bojaæe se tebe dok je sunca i mjeseca, od koljena do koljena.
6 He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.
Siæi æe kao dažd na pokošenu livadu, kao kaplje koje porašaju zemlju.
7 In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
Procvjetaæe u dane njegove pravednik i svuda mir dokle teèe mjeseca.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.
Vladaæe od mora do mora, i od rijeke do krajeva zemaljskih.
9 Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.
Pred njim æe popadati divljaci, i neprijatelji njegovi prah æe lizati.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Carevi Tarsiski i ostrvljani donijeæe dare, carevi Šavski i Savski daæe danak.
11 Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.
Klanjaæe mu se svi carevi, svi narodi biæe mu pokorni.
12 For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.
Jer æe izbaviti ubogoga koji cvili i nevoljnoga koji nema pomoænika.
13 He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.
Biæe milostiv ništemu i ubogom, i duše æe jadnima spasti.
14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.
Od prijevare i nasilja iskupiæe duše njihove, i skupa æe biti krv njihova pred oèima njegovima.
15 He will live; and Sheba’s gold will be given to him. Men will pray for him continually. They will bless him all day long.
Oni æe dobro živjeti, i donijeæe mu zlato iz Šave; i svagda æe se moliti za njega, i svaki æe ga dan blagosiljati.
16 Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
Biæe pšenice na zemlji izobila; po vrhovima gorskim lelijaæe se klasje njezino kao Livanska šuma, i po gradovima cvjetaæe ljudi kao trava na zemlji.
17 His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
Ime æe njegovo biti uvijek; dokle teèe sunca, ime æe njegovo rasti. Blagosloviæe se u njemu, svi æe ga narodi zvati blaženim.
18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvellous deeds.
Blagosloven Gospod Bog, Bog Izrailjev, koji jedan èini èudesa!
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and amen.
I blagosloveno slavno ime njegovo uvijek! slave njegove napuniæe se sva zemlja. Amin i amin.
20 This ends the prayers by David, the son of Jesse.
Svršiše se molitve Davida, sina Jesejeva.
