< Psalms 69 >

1 For the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Lilies.” By David. Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck!
Kuom jatend wer e dwol mar “Ondanyo.” Mar Daudi. Resa, yaye Nyasaye, nikech pi oseima nyaka e ngʼuta.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
Asechako nimo e chwodho matut, kama onge lowo motegno ma ngʼato nyalo chungʼie. Asechopo e chuny pi kama tut, kendo apaka olwora oketa diere.
3 I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God.
Koro aseywak mondo okonya mi aol; dwonda rewni. Wengena pek, ka amanyo Nyasacha.
4 Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.
Joma ochaya maonge gima omiyo ngʼeny moloyo yie wiya; joma olokore wasika kayiem thoth adier, jogogo madwaro mondo otieka. Ichuna mondo adwok gima ne ok akwalo.
5 God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren’t hidden from you.
Ingʼeyo fupa, yaye Nyasaye; kethona ok opondoni.
6 Don’t let those who wait for you be shamed through me, Lord GOD of Hosts. Don’t let those who seek you be brought to dishonour through me, God of Israel.
Mad joma ogeno kuomi kik ne wichkuot nikech an, yaye Ruoth, Jehova Nyasaye Maratego; mad joma manyi kik ne wichkuot nikech an, yaye Nyasach Israel.
7 Because for your sake, I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face.
Nimar ji yanya to alingʼ alingʼa nikech in, kendo wichkuot obako lela wangʼa.
8 I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s children.
Achalo wendo ne owetena an kaka jamwa ne yawuot minwa;
9 For the zeal of your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
nikech (hera) matut ma aherogo odi tieka, kendo ayenje mag joma yanyi lwar kuoma.
10 When I wept and I fasted, that was to my reproach.
Ka aywak kendo atweyo chiemo to pod nyaka ayud ayany;
11 When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.
ka arwako law ywak, to ji oloka ngero.
12 Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.
Joma obet e rangach jara, kendo alokora wer ma jokongʼo wero.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to you, LORD, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.
To alami, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, e kinde ma iikori mar konya; kuom herani maduongʼ, yaye Nyasaye, dwoka gi resruok mari mar adier.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and don’t let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Gola oko e chwodho, kik iyie anim; resa e lwet joma ochaya, gola e chuny pi kama tut.
15 Don’t let the flood waters overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up. Don’t let the pit shut its mouth on me.
Kik iwe ohula ywera mi tera kata kut mwonya duto, kata bur matut um dhoge ka an e iye.
16 Answer me, LORD, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.
Dwoka, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, dwoka, nikech herani ber; lokri ira kuom kechni maduongʼ.
17 Don’t hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily!
Kik ipand wangʼi ne jatichni; dwoka piyo, nikech anie chandruok.
18 Draw near to my soul and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.
Bi machiegni mondo ikonya, resa nikech joma kedo koda.
19 You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonour. My adversaries are all before you.
Ingʼeyo kaka ijara, kaka ikuodo wiya kendo kaka aneno wichkuot; wasika duto ochoma tir.
20 Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.
Ajara osechodo chunya kendo aonge gi kar kony. Ne amanyo joma hoya, to ne ok ayudo kata achiel.
21 They also gave me poison for my food. In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.
Negiketo kedhno e chiemba kendo negimiya kong andwayo mondo otiekna riyo.
22 Let their table before them become a snare. May it become a retribution and a trap.
Mad mesa mochan e nyimgi lokre obadho; kendo mad olokrenegi gir chulo kuor kod otegu.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can’t see. Let their backs be continually bent.
Mad wengegi dinre mondo kik ginen kendo oguchgi odolre nyaka chiengʼ.
24 Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
Ol mirimbi kuomgi; we mirimbi mager omakgi.
25 Let their habitation be desolate. Let no one dwell in their tents.
Mad miechgi dongʼ gundni; kendo kik iyie ne ngʼato angʼata dag e hembgi.
26 For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
Nimar gisando joma ihinyo kendo giwuoyo kuom lit mag joma ihinyo.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime. Don’t let them come into your righteousness.
Ket ketho e wigi kuom ketho ka ketho ma gitimo; kendo kik iyie giyud warruok mari.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
Mad ruch kargi oko e kitap joma ngima kendo kik kwan-gi kaachiel gi joma kare.
29 But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me.
An-gi rem kendo awinjo marach e chunya; mad warruokni rita, yaye Nyasaye.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
Abiro pako nying Nyasaye gi wer kendo abiro miyo nyinge duongʼ gi erokamano.
31 It will please the LORD better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
Mano biro miyo Jehova Nyasaye mor moloyo rwadh pur, moloyo rwath mabwoch man-gi tungene kod ombongʼne.
32 The humble have seen it, and are glad. You who seek after God, let your heart live.
Joma odhier biro neno mi gibed mamor, un ma udwaro Nyasaye mad chunyu bed mangima!
33 For the LORD hears the needy, and doesn’t despise his captive people.
Jehova Nyasaye winjo joma ochando kendo ok olok ngʼeye ne joge motwe.
34 Let heaven and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moves therein!
Piny gi polo mondo opake, kaachiel gi nembe kod gik moko duto mawuothoe igi,
35 For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it.
nikech Nyasaye biro reso Sayun kendo obiro gero dala mag Juda kendo. Eka ji nodag kanyo kendo ginikawe kaka margi;
36 The children also of his servants shall inherit it. Those who love his name shall dwell therein.
