Psalms 30

1 A Psalm. A Song for the Dedication of the Temple. By David. I will extol you, LORD, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.

Salmo e canção de Davi para a dedicação da casa: Eu te exaltarei, SENHOR, porque tu me levantaste, e fizeste com que meus inimigos não se alegrassem por causa de mim.

2 LORD my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.

SENHOR, meu Deus; eu clamei a ti, e tu me curaste.

3 LORD, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol h7585)

SENHOR, tu levantaste minha alma do Xeol; preservaste-me a vida, para que eu não descesse à sepultura. (Sheol h7585)

4 Sing praise to the LORD, you holy ones of his. Give thanks to his holy name.

Cantai ao SENHOR, vós [que sois] santos dele, [e] celebrai a memória de sua santidade.

5 For his anger is but for a moment. His favour is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Porque sua ira [dura por] um momento; mas seu favor [dura por toda a] vida; o choro fica pela noite, mas a alegria [vem] pela manhã.

6 As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.”

Eu disse em minha boa situação: Nunca serei abalado.

7 You, LORD, when you favoured me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled.

SENHOR, pelo teu favor, tu firmaste minha montanha; [mas quando] tu encobriste o teu rosto, fiquei perturbado.

8 I cried to you, LORD. I made supplication to the Lord:

A ti, DEUS, eu clamei; e supliquei ao SENHOR,

9 “What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?

[Dizendo]: Que proveito [há] em meu sangue, [ou] em minha descida a cova? Por acaso o pó da terra te louvará, ou anunciará tua fidelidade?

10 Hear, LORD, and have mercy on me. LORD, be my helper.”

Ouve [-me], SENHOR, e tem piedade de mim; sê tu, SENHOR, o meu ajudador.

11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,

Tu tornaste meu pranto em dança; tu desamarraste o meu saco [de lamentação], e me envolveste de alegria.

12 to the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

Por isso a [minha] glória cantará para ti, e não se calará; SENHOR, Deus meu, para sempre eu te louvarei.
