< Psalms 139 >
1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. LORD, you have searched me, and you know me.
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. O! Yehowa, èdzro menye, eye nènyam.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.
Ènya nye anyinɔnɔ kple nye tsitretsitsi, eye nènya nye susuwo tso adzɔge ke.
3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
Ènya nye godoɣi kple nye anyimlɔɣi, ale nènya nye mɔwo katã nyuie.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, LORD, you know it altogether.
O! Yehowa, hafi nya aɖe nava nye aɖe dzi la, ènya nya la katã xoxo.
5 You hem me in behind and before. You laid your hand on me.
Ètsɔm ɖe tome, le megbe kple ŋgɔ siaa, eye nèɖo wò asi dzinye.
6 This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it.
Nunya sia wɔ nuku nam akpa, nyemate ŋu aɖo afi ma o, elabena ekɔkɔ nam akpa.
7 Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence?
Afi ka madzo le wò Gbɔgbɔ la gbɔ ayi? Afi ka masi atso wò ŋkume ayi?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! (Sheol )
Ne meyi dziƒo la, èle afi ma, ne meɖo nye mlɔƒe ɖe gogloƒewo hã la, èle afi ma. (Sheol )
9 If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Ne medzo yi yame le fɔŋli ƒe aʋalawo dzi, ne meyi ɖanɔ atsiaƒu ƒe mlɔenu ke hã la,
10 even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.
wò asi akplɔm, eye wò nuɖusi além ɖe asi sesĩe.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me. The light around me will be night,”
Ne megblɔ be, “Vavã, viviti la ana maɣla, eye kekeli azu zã aƒo xlãm” la,
12 even the darkness doesn’t hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you.
viviti la gɔ̃ hã mado blukɔ na wò o, zã aklẽ na wò abe ŋkeke ene, elabena viviti le na wò abe kekeli ene.
13 For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Elabena wòe wɔ nye ememe ke; eye nèlém ƒo ƒu ɖe danye ƒe dɔ me.
14 I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.
Mekafu wò, elabena èwɔm ŋɔdzitɔe kple nukutɔe. Wò dɔwɔwɔwo nye nukunu, menya esia nyuie.
15 My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth.
Nye ameti blibo la, mele ɣaɣla ɖe wò o, esi nèwɔm le ɣaɣlaƒe. Esi wolɔ̃m ɖe wo nɔewo me le anyigba ƒe gogloƒe la,
16 Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
wò ŋkuwo kpɔ ale si menye ʋukɔe. Ŋkeke siwo katã woɖo nam la, woŋlɔ wo ɖe wò agbalẽ me hafi ŋkeke gbãtɔ dze egɔme.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is their sum!
O! Mawu, wò susuwo xɔ asi nam ŋutɔ! Wò susuwo sɔ gbɔ loo!
18 If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I wake up, I am still with you.
Ne mebe maxlẽ wo la, woasɔ gbɔ wu ke. Ne menyɔ tso alɔ̃ me la, megale gbɔwò ko.
19 If only you, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
O! Mawu, negbe ɖe nàtsrɔ̃ ame vɔ̃ɖiwo hafi! Mite ɖa le gbɔnye, mi hlɔ̃dolawo!
20 For they speak against you wickedly. Your enemies take your name in vain.
Woƒoa nu tso ŋutiwò kple susu baɖa, wò futɔwo wɔa wò ŋkɔ ŋu dɔ yakayaka.
21 LORD, don’t I hate those who hate you? Am I not grieved with those who rise up against you?
O! Yehowa, ɖe nyemelé fu ame siwo lé fu wò, eye menyɔ ŋu ame siwo tso ɖe ŋuwò oa?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.
Fuléle koe le asinye na wo, eye mebu wo nye ketɔwoe.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.
Dzro menye, o Mawu, eye nànya nye dzi; dom kpɔ, eye nànya nye susu si tsi dzodzodzoe.
24 See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
Kpɔe ɖa be mɔtatra aɖe le menye hã, eye nàkplɔm to mɔ mavɔtɔ la dzi.
