< Proverbs 17 >

1 Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.
Qurbanliq göshlirige tolghan jédellik öydin, Bir chishlem quruq nan yep, köngül tinchliqta bolghan ewzel.
2 A servant who deals wisely will rule over a son who causes shame, and shall have a part in the inheritance amongst the brothers.
Xizmetkar chéwer bolsa, xojisining nomusta qoyghuchi oghlini bashqurar; Kelgüside u xojining oghli qatarida turup uning mirasni teqsim qilar.
3 The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold, but the LORD tests the hearts.
Sapal qazan kümüshni tawlar, chanaq altunni tawlar, Biraq ademning qelbini Perwerdigar sinar.
4 An evildoer heeds wicked lips. A liar gives ear to a mischievous tongue.
Qebih kishi yaman sözlerge ishiner; Yalghanchi pitnichilerning sözige qulaq salar.
5 Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker. He who is glad at calamity shall not be unpunished.
Miskinlerni mesxire qilghuchi, özini Yaratquchini haqaretligüchidur; Bashqilarning bextsizlikidin xushal bolghan kishi jazasiz qalmas.
6 Children’s children are the crown of old men; the glory of children is their parents.
Qérilarning newriliri ularning tajidur; Perzentlerning pexri ularning atiliridur.
7 Excellent speech isn’t fitting for a fool, much less do lying lips fit a prince.
Exmeq yarishiq gep qilsa uninggha yarashmas; Mötiwer yalghan sözlise uninggha téximu yarashmas.
8 A bribe is a precious stone in the eyes of him who gives it; wherever he turns, he prospers.
Para — uni bergüchining neziride ésil bir göherdur; Goya uni negila ishletse muweppeqiyetke érishidighandek.
9 He who covers an offence promotes love; but he who repeats a matter separates best friends.
Bashqilarning xataliqini yoputup kechürgen kishi méhir-muhebbetni közler; Kona xamanni sorighan kishi yéqin dostlarni düshmen qilar.
10 A rebuke enters deeper into one who has understanding than a hundred lashes into a fool.
Aqilanige singgen bir éghiz tenbih, Exmeqqe urulghan yüz derridin ünümlüktur.
11 An evil man seeks only rebellion; therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.
Yamanlar peqet asiyliqni közler; Uni jazalashqa rehimsiz bir elchi ewetiler.
12 Let a bear robbed of her cubs meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly.
Exmiqane ish qiliwatqan nadan kishige uchrap qalghandin köre, Baliliridin ayrilghan éyiqqa yoluqup qalghan yaxshi.
13 Whoever rewards evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.
Kimki yaxshiliqqa yamanliq qilsa, Ishikidin bala-qaza néri ketmes.
14 The beginning of strife is like breaching a dam, therefore stop contention before quarrelling breaks out.
Jédelning bashlinishi tosmini su élip ketken’ge oxshaydu; Shunga jédel partlashtin awwal talash-tartishtin qol üzgin.
15 He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.
Yamanni aqlighan, Heqqaniygha qara chaplighan, Oxshashla Perwerdigargha yirginchliktur.
16 Why is there money in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, since he has no understanding?
Exmeqning köngli danaliqni etiwarlimisa, Qandaqmu uning qolida danaliqni sétiwalghudek puli bolsun?
17 A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity.
[Heqiqiy] dost herdaim sanga muhebbet körsiter, [Heqiqiy] qérindash yaman kününg üchün yardemge dunyagha kelgendur.
18 A man void of understanding strikes hands, and becomes collateral in the presence of his neighbour.
Eqilsiz kishi qol bérip, Yéqini üchün képil bolidu.
19 He who loves disobedience loves strife. One who builds a high gate seeks destruction.
Jédelge amraq gunahqa amraqtur; Bosughini égiz qilghan halaketni izder.
20 One who has a perverse heart doesn’t find prosperity, and one who has a deceitful tongue falls into trouble.
Niyiti buzulghan yaxshiliq körmes; Tilida heq-naheqni astin-üstün qilghuchi balagha yoluqar.
21 He who becomes the father of a fool grieves. The father of a fool has no joy.
Bala exmeq bolsa, ata ghem-qayghugha patar; Hamaqetning atisi xushalliq körmes.
22 A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Shad köngül shipaliq doridek ten’ge dawadur; Sunuq roh-dil ademning yilikini qurutar.
23 A wicked man receives a bribe in secret, to pervert the ways of justice.
Chirik adem yeng ichide parini qobul qilar; U adaletning yolini burmilar.
24 Wisdom is before the face of one who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool wander to the ends of the earth.
Danaliq yorutulghan kishining köz aldida turar; Biraq eqilsizning közi xiyalkeshlik qilip qutupta yürer.
25 A foolish son brings grief to his father, and bitterness to her who bore him.
Galwang bala atini azabgha salar; Uni tughquchiningmu derdi bolar.
26 Also to punish the righteous is not good, nor to flog officials for their integrity.
Heqqaniylargha jerimane qoyushqa qet’iy bolmas; Emirlerni adaletni qollighini üchün dumbalashqa bolmas.
27 He who spares his words has knowledge. He who is even tempered is a man of understanding.
Bilimi bar kishi kem sözlük bolar; Yorutulghan adem qaltis éghir-bésiq bolar.
28 Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise. When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning.
Hetta exmeqmu az sözlise dana hésablinar; Tilini tizginligen kishi danishmen sanilar.
