Matthew 11
1 When Yeshua had finished directing his twelve disciples, he departed from there to teach and proclaim in their cities.
১এই ভাবে যীশু নিজের বারো জন শিষ্যের প্রতি আদেশ দেবার পর লোকদের শহরে শহরে উপদেশ দেবার ও প্রচার করবার জন্য সে জায়গা থেকে চলে গেলেন।
2 Now when Yochanan heard in the prison the works of Messiah, he sent two of his disciples
২পরে যোহন বাপ্তাইজ কারাগার থেকে খ্রীষ্টের কাজের বিষয় শুনে নিজের শিষ্যদের দ্বারা তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করতে পাঠালেন,
3 and said to him, “Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?”
৩এবং তাঁকে বললেন, যাঁর আগমন হবে, সেই ব্যক্তি কি আপনি? না আমরা অন্যের অপেক্ষায় থাকব?
4 Yeshua answered them, “Go and tell Yochanan the things which you hear and see:
৪যীশু উত্তর করে তাদের বললেন, “তোমরা যাও এবং যা শুনেছ ও দেখেছ, সেই খবর যোহনকে দাও; অন্ধরা দেখতে পাচ্ছে, খোঁড়ারা হাঁটছে, কুষ্ঠ রুগীরা শুদ্ধ হচ্ছে ও বধিরেরা শুনতে পাচ্ছে, মৃতেরা জীবিত হচ্ছে, গরিবদের কাছে সুসমাচার প্রচার করা হচ্ছে।
5 the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
৫অন্ধরা দেখতে পাচ্ছে, খোঁড়ারা হাঁটছে, কুষ্ঠ রুগীরা শুদ্ধ হচ্ছে ও বধিরেরা শুনতে পাচ্ছে, মৃতেরা জীবিত হচ্ছে, গরীবদের কাছে সুসমাচার প্রচার করা হচ্ছে।
6 Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”
৬আর ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি যে আমাকে গ্রহণ করতে বাধা পায় না।”
7 As these went their way, Yeshua began to say to the multitudes concerning Yochanan, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
৭তারা চলে যাচ্ছে, এমন দিনের যীশু সবলোককে যোহনের বিষয়ে বলতে লাগলেন, তোমরা মরূপ্রান্তে কি দেখতে গিয়েছিলে? কি বাতাসে দুলছে এমন একটি নল (ঘাস জাতীয় উদ্ভিদ)?
8 But what did you go out to see? A man in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.
৮তবে কি দেখতে গিয়েছিলে? কি সুন্দর পোষাক পরা কোন লোককে? দেখ, যারা সুন্দর পোষাক পরে, তারা রাজবাড়িতে থাকে।
9 But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
৯তবে কি জন্য গিয়েছিলে? কি একজন ভাববাদীকে দেখবার জন্য? হ্যাঁ, আমি তোমাদের বলছি, ভাববাদী থেকেও শ্রেষ্ঠ ব্যক্তিকে।
10 For this is he, of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’
১০ইনি সেই ব্যক্তি, যাঁর বিষয়ে লেখা আছে, “দেখ, আমি নিজের দূতকে তোমার আগে পাঠাব; সে তোমার আগে তোমার রাস্তা তৈরী করবে।”
11 Most certainly I tell you, amongst those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than Yochanan the Immerser; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.
১১আমি তোমাদের সত্য বলছি, স্ত্রীলোকের গর্ভে যারা জন্মগ্রহণ করেছে তাদের মধ্যে যোহন বাপ্তিষ্মদাতা থেকে মহান কেউই সৃষ্টি হয়নি, তা সত্বেও স্বর্গরাজ্যে অতি সামান্য যে ব্যক্তি, সে তাঁর থেকে মহান।
12 From the days of Yochanan the Immerser until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
১২আর যোহন বাপ্তিষ্মদাতার দিন থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত স্বর্গরাজ্য আক্রান্ত হচ্ছে এবং আক্রমণকারীরা সবলে তা অধিকার করছে।
13 For all the Prophets and the Torah prophesied until Yochanan.
১৩কারণ সমস্ত ভাববাদী ও নিয়ম যোহন পর্যন্ত ভাববাণী বলেছে।
14 If you are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, who is to come.
১৪আর তোমরা যদি গ্রহণ করতে সম্মত হও, তবে জানবে, যে এলিয়ের আগমন হবে, তিনি এই ব্যক্তি।
15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
১৫যার শোনার মত কান আছে সে শুনুক।
16 “But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to their companions
১৬কিন্তু আমি কার সঙ্গে এই যুগের লোকদের তুলনা করব? তারা এমন বালকদের সমান, যারা বাজারে বসে নিজেদের সঙ্গীদেরকে ডেকে বলে,
17 and say, ‘We played the flute for you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned for you, and you didn’t lament.’
১৭আমরা তোমাদের জন্য বাঁশী বাজালাম, তোমরা নাচলে না; আমরা দুঃখ প্রকাশ করলাম এবং তোমরা কষ্ট পেলে না।
18 For Yochanan came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’
১৮কারণ যোহন এসে ভোজন পান করেননি; তাতে লোকে বলে, সে ভূতগ্রস্থ।
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”
১৯মনুষ্যপুত্র এসে ভোজন পান করেন; তাতে লোকে বলে, ঐ দেখ, একজন পেটুক ও মাতাল, কর আদায়কারীদের ও পাপীদের বন্ধু। কিন্তু প্রজ্ঞা নিজের কাজের দ্বারা নির্দোষ বলে প্রমাণিত হবে।
20 Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they didn’t repent.
২০তখন যে যে শহরে যীশু সবচেয়ে বেশি অলৌকিক কাজ করেছিলেন, তিনি সেই সব শহরকে ভর্ত্সনা করতে লাগলেন, কারণ তারা মন ফেরায় নি
21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
২১কোরাসীন, ধিক তোমাকে! বৈত্সদা, ধিক তোমাকে! কারণ তোমাদের মধ্যে যে সব অলৌকিক কাজ করা হয়েছে, সে সব যদি সোর ও সীদোনে করা যেত, তবে অনেকদিন আগে তারা চট পরে ছাইয়ে বসে মন ফেরাত।
22 But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgement than for you.
২২কিন্তু আমি তোমাদের বলছি, তোমাদের দশা থেকে বরং সোর ও সীদোনের দশা বিচার দিনের সহ্যনীয় হবে।
23 You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Sheol. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until today. (Hadēs g86)
২৩আর হে কফরনাহূম, তুমি নাকি স্বর্গ পর্যন্ত উঁচু হবে? তুমি নরক পর্যন্ত নেমে যাবে; কারণ যে সব অলৌকিক কাজ তোমার মধ্যে করা হয়েছে, সে সব যদি সদোমে করা যেত, তবে তা আজ পর্যন্ত থাকত। (Hadēs g86)
24 But I tell you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgement, than for you.”
২৪কিন্তু আমি তোমাদের বলছি, তোমাদের দশা থেকে বরং সদোম দেশের দশা বিচার দিনের সহনীয় হবে।
25 At that time, Yeshua answered, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.
২৫সেই দিনে যীশু এই কথা বললেন, “হে পিতঃ, হে স্বর্গের ও পৃথিবীর প্রভু, আমি তোমার প্রশংসা করছি, কারণ তুমি জ্ঞানবান ও বুদ্ধিমানদের থেকে এইসব বিষয় গোপন রেখে শিশুদের কাছে প্রকাশ করেছ;
26 Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.
২৬হ্যাঁ, পিতঃ, কারণ এটা তোমার দৃষ্টিতে প্রীতিজনক হয়েছে।”
27 All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son and he to whom the Son desires to reveal him.
২৭সবই আমার পিতার মাধ্যমে আমাকে সমর্পণ করা হয়েছে; আর পুত্রকে কেউ জানে না, একমাত্র পিতা জানেন; এবং পিতাকে কেউ জানে না, শুধুমাত্র পুত্র জানেন আর পুত্র যার কাছে তাঁকে প্রকাশ করতে ইচ্ছা করেন, সে জানে।
28 “Come to me, all you who labour and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
২৮হে পরিশ্রান্ত ও ভারাক্রান্ত লোক সব, আমার কাছে এস, আমি তোমাদের বিশ্রাম দেব।
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.
২৯আমার যোঁয়ালী নিজেদের উপরে তুলে নাও এবং আমার কাছে শেখো, কারণ আমি হৃদয়ে বিনয়ী ও নম্র; তাতে তোমরা নিজের নিজের প্রাণের জন্য বিশ্রাম পাবে।
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
৩০কারণ আমার যোঁয়ালী সহজ ও আমার ভার হাল্কা।
