< Judges 8 >
1 The men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you treated us this way, that you didn’t call us when you went to fight with Midian?” They rebuked him sharply.
To, mutanen Efraim suka ce wa Gideyon, “Me ya sa ka yi mana haka? Me ya sa ba ka kira mu lokacin da ka tafi yaƙi da Midiyawa ba?” Suka zarge shi sosai.
2 He said to them, “What have I now done in comparison with you? Isn’t the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?
Amma ya ce musu, “Me na yi da za a iya kwatanta da abin da kuka yi? Ashe, kalar inabin da Efraim ta yi bai fi dukan girbin inabin da Abiyezer suka yi ba?
3 God has delivered into your hand the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb! What was I able to do in comparison with you?” Then their anger was abated towards him when he had said that.
Allah ya ba da Oreb da Zeyib, shugabannin Midiyawa a hannuwanku. Me na yi da ya fi naku? Da ya faɗi haka sai hankalinsu ya kwanta.”
4 Gideon came to the Jordan and passed over, he and the three hundred men who were with him, faint, yet pursuing.
Gideyon da mutanensa ɗari uku, sun gaji, duk da haka suka yi ta fafarar, suka zo Urdun suka haye shi.
5 He said to the men of Succoth, “Please give loaves of bread to the people who follow me; for they are faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.”
Ya ce wa mutanen Sukkot, “Ku ba wa mutanena burodi; sun gaji, har yanzu ina fafarar Zeba da Zalmunna, sarakunan Midiyawa.”
6 The princes of Succoth said, “Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?”
Amma shugabannin Sukkot suka ce, “Ka kama Zeba da Zalmunna ko ne? Don me za mu ba wa mayaƙanka burodi?”
7 Gideon said, “Therefore when the LORD has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.”
Sai Gideyon ya ce, “Haka ko? To, sa’ad da Ubangiji ya ba da Zeba da Zalmunna a hannuna, zan tsattsaga jikinku da ƙayayyuwan jeji.”
8 He went up there to Penuel, and spoke to them in the same way; and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered.
Daga nan ya wuce zuwa Fenuwel ya yi irin roƙon nan, amma suka amsa yadda mutanen Sukkot suka yi.
9 He spoke also to the men of Penuel, saying, “When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.”
Saboda haka sai ya ce wa mutanen Fenuwel, “Sa’ad da na dawo da nasara zan rushe wannan hasumiya.”
10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their armies with them, about fifteen thousand men, all who were left of all the army of the children of the east; for there fell one hundred and twenty thousand men who drew sword.
To, Zeba da Zalmunna suna a Karkor da mayaƙa wajen dubu goma sha biyar, abin da ya rage ke nan na mayaƙan gabashi; mayaƙa masu takobi dubu ɗari da ashirin ne suka mutu.
11 Gideon went up by the way of those who lived in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and struck the army; for the army felt secure.
Gideyon ya haura ta hanyar makiyaya, gabas da Noba, da kuma Yogbeha, ya fāɗa wa mayaƙan ta yadda ba su zata ba.
12 Zebah and Zalmunna fled and he pursued them. He took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and confused all the army.
Zeba da Zalmunna, sarakunan biyu na Midiyawa suka tsere, amma ya bi su ya kama, ya fatattaki dukan mayaƙansu.
13 Gideon the son of Joash returned from the battle from the ascent of Heres.
Sa’an nan Gideyon ɗan Yowash ya komo daga yaƙi ta Hanyar Heres.
14 He caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and enquired of him; and he described for him the princes of Succoth, and its elders, seventy-seven men.
Ya kama wani saurayin Sukkot ya tambaye shi, saurayin kuwa ya rubuta masa dukan sunayen shugabanni saba’in da bakwai na Sukkot, da dattawan garin.
15 He came to the men of Succoth, and said, “See Zebah and Zalmunna, concerning whom you taunted me, saying, ‘Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your men who are weary?’”
Sa’an nan Gideyon ya zo ya ce wa mutanen Sukkot, “To, ga Zeba da Zalmunna, waɗanda kuka yi mini ba’a kuna cewa, ‘Ka kama Zeba da Zalmunna ko ne? Me zai sa mu ba mutanenka da suka gaji burodi?’”
16 He took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.
Ya kwashe dattawan garin ya koya wa mutanen Sukkot hankali ta wurin hukunta su da ƙayayyuwan hamada.
17 He broke down the tower of Penuel, and killed the men of the city.
Ya rushe hasumiyar Fenuwel ya kuma karkashe mutanen garin.
18 Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, “What kind of men were they whom you killed at Tabor?” They answered, “They were like you. They all resembled the children of a king.”
Sa’an nan ya ce wa Zeba da Zalmunna, “Waɗanne irin mutane ne kuka karkashe a Tabor.” Suka ce, “Mutane kamar ka ne kowane kamar ɗan sarki.”
19 He said, “They were my brothers, the sons of my mother. As the LORD lives, if you had saved them alive, I would not kill you.”
Gideyon ya ce, “Waɗannan’yan’uwana ne,’ya’yan mahaifiyata. Muddin Ubangiji yana a raye, da a ce kun bar su da rai, da ba zan kashe ku ba.”
20 He said to Jether his firstborn, “Get up and kill them!” But the youth didn’t draw his sword; for he was afraid, because he was yet a youth.
Da ya juya wajen Yeter, ɗan farinsa, sai ya ce, “Ka kashe su!” Amma Yeter bai zāre takobinsa ba, domin shi yaro ne kawai kuma yana tsoro.
21 Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, “You rise and fall on us; for as the man is, so is his strength.” Gideon arose, and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescents that were on their camels’ necks.
Zeba da Zalmunna suka ce masa, “Zo, ka yi da kanka. ‘Yadda mutum yake haka ƙarfinsa.’” Ta haka Gideyon ya matso gaba ya kashe su, ya ɗauki kayan ado daga wuyar raƙumansu.
22 Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, “Rule over us, both you, your son, and your son’s son also; for you have saved us out of the hand of Midian.”
Isra’ilawa suka ce wa Gideyon, “Ka yi mulkinmu, kai, ɗanka da jikanka, domin ka cece mu daga hannun Midiyawa.”
23 Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you. The LORD shall rule over you.”
Amma Gideyon ya ce musu, “Ni, ko ɗana, ba za mu yi mulkinku ba. Ubangiji ne zai yi mulkinku.”
24 Gideon said to them, “I do have a request: that you would each give me the earrings of his plunder.” (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)
Kuma ya ce, “Ina da roƙo guda ɗaya, cewa kowannenku ya ba ni’yan kunne daga rabon ganima.” (Al’adar mutanen Ishmayel ce su sa’yan kunnen zinariya.)
25 They answered, “We will willingly give them.” They spread a garment, and every man threw the earrings of his plunder into it.
Suka ce, “Za mu yi farin cikin ba ka su.” Saboda haka suka shimfiɗa mayafi, kowanne ya sa ɗan kunne ɗaya daga ganimar.
26 The weight of the golden earrings that he requested was one thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold, in addition to the crescents, and the pendants, and the purple clothing that was on the kings of Midian, and in addition to the chains that were about their camels’ necks.
Nauyin’yan kunnen zinariyar ya kai shekel ɗari goma sha bakwai, ban da kayan ado, abin wuya da tufafin shunayya waɗanda sarakuna Midiyawa suke sawa ko sarƙoƙin da suke wuyar raƙumansu.
27 Gideon made an ephod out of it, and put it in Ophrah, his city. Then all Israel played the prostitute with it there; and it became a snare to Gideon and to his house.
Gideyon ya efod da zinariyar, wanda ya ajiye a Ofra, garinsa. Dukan Isra’ila suka shiga yin karuwanci ta wurin yin sujada a can, ya kuwa zama wa Gideyon da dukan iyalinsa tarko.
28 So Midian was subdued before the children of Israel, and they lifted up their heads no more. The land had rest forty years in the days of Gideon.
Da haka Isra’ilawa suka mallaki Midiyawa ba su kuma sāke tā da kai ba. A zamanin Gideyon ƙasar ta sami zaman lafiya har shekara arba’in.
29 Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and lived in his own house.
Yerub-Ba’al ɗan Yowash ya koma gida don yă zauna.
30 Gideon had seventy sons conceived from his body, for he had many wives.
Yana da’ya’ya saba’in maza da ya haifa, gama yana da mata da yawa.
31 His concubine who was in Shechem also bore him a son, and he named him Abimelech.
Yana kuma da ƙwarƙwara wadda take Shekem, ita ma ta haifa masa ɗa wanda ya ba shi suna Abimelek.
32 Gideon the son of Joash died in a good old age, and was buried in the tomb of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
Gideyon ɗan Yowash ya rasu da kyakkyawan tsufa aka kuma binne shi a kabarin Yowash mahaifinsa a Ofra na mutanen Abiyezer.
33 As soon as Gideon was dead, the children of Israel turned again and played the prostitute following the Baals, and made Baal Berith their god.
Ba a daɗe da rasuwar Gideyon ba, sai Isra’ila ta sāke shiga karuwanci suna bauta wa Ba’al. Suka kafa Ba’al-Berit yă zama musu allahnsu ba kuma
34 The children of Israel didn’t remember the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hand of all their enemies on every side;
tuna da Ubangiji Allahnsu, wanda ya cece su daga hannuwan abokan gābansu a kowane gefe ba.
35 neither did they show kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, that is, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shown to Israel.
Suka kāsa nuna alheri ga gidan Yerub-Ba’al (wato, Gideyon) saboda abubuwa masu alherin da ya yi musu.
