Job 28
1 “Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.
| «یقین برای نقره معدنی است، و به جهت طلا جایی است که آن را قال می‌گذارند. | ۱ |
2 Iron is taken out of the earth, and copper is smelted out of the ore.
| آهن از خاک گرفته می‌شود و مس ازسنگ گداخته می‌گردد. | ۲ |
3 Man sets an end to darkness, and searches out, to the furthest bound, the stones of obscurity and of thick darkness.
| مردم برای تاریکی حدمی گذارند و تا نهایت تمام تفحص می‌نمایند، تابه سنگهای ظلمت غلیظ و سایه موت. | ۳ |
4 He breaks open a shaft away from where people live. They are forgotten by the foot. They hang far from men, they swing back and forth.
| کانی دور از ساکنان زمین می‌کنند، از راه گذریان فراموش می‌شوند و دور از مردمان آویخته شده، به هر طرف متحرک می‌گردند. | ۴ |
5 As for the earth, out of it comes bread. Underneath it is turned up as it were by fire.
| از زمین نان بیرون می‌آید، و ژرفیهایش مثل آتش سرنگون می‌شود. | ۵ |
6 Sapphires come from its rocks. It has dust of gold.
| سنگهایش مکان یاقوت کبود است. وشمشهای طلا دارد. | ۶ |
7 That path no bird of prey knows, neither has the falcon’s eye seen it.
| آن راه را هیچ مرغ شکاری نمی داند، و چشم شاهین آن را ندیده است، | ۷ |
8 The proud animals have not trodden it, nor has the fierce lion passed by there.
| وجانوران درنده بر آن قدم نزده‌اند، و شیر غران برآن گذر نکرده. | ۸ |
9 He puts his hand on the flinty rock, and he overturns the mountains by the roots.
| دست خود را به سنگ خارا درازمی کنند، و کوهها را از بیخ برمی کنند. | ۹ |
10 He cuts out channels amongst the rocks. His eye sees every precious thing.
| نهرها ازصخره‌ها می‌کنند و چشم ایشان هر چیز نفیس رامی بیند. | ۱۰ |
11 He binds the streams that they don’t trickle. The thing that is hidden he brings out to light.
| نهرها را از تراوش می‌بندند وچیزهای پنهان شده را به روشنایی بیرون می‌آورند. | ۱۱ |
12 “But where will wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding?
| اما حکمت از کجا پیدا می‌شود؟ وجای فطانت کجا است؟ | ۱۲ |
13 Man doesn’t know its price, and it isn’t found in the land of the living.
| انسان قیمت آن رانمی داند و در زمین زندگان پیدا نمی شود. | ۱۳ |
14 The deep says, ‘It isn’t in me.’ The sea says, ‘It isn’t with me.’
| لجه می‌گوید که در من نیست، و دریا می‌گوید که نزدمن نمی باشد. | ۱۴ |
15 It can’t be gotten for gold, neither will silver be weighed for its price.
| زر خالص به عوضش داده نمی شود و نقره برای قیمتش سنجیده نمی گردد. | ۱۵ |
16 It can’t be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
| به زر خالص اوفیر آن را قیمت نتوان کرد، و نه به جزع گرانبها و یاقوت کبود. | ۱۶ |
17 Gold and glass can’t equal it, neither will it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
| با طلا و آبگینه آن را برابر نتوان کرد، و زیورهای طلای خالص بدل آن نمی شود. | ۱۷ |
18 No mention will be made of coral or of crystal. Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
| مرجان و بلور مذکورنمی شود و قیمت حکمت از لعل گرانتر است. | ۱۸ |
19 The topaz of Ethiopia will not equal it. It won’t be valued with pure gold.
| زبرجد حبش با آن مساوی نمی شود و به زرخالص سنجیده نمی گردد. | ۱۹ |
20 Where then does wisdom come from? Where is the place of understanding?
| پس حکمت ازکجا می‌آید؟ و مکان فطانت کجا است؟ | ۲۰ |
21 Seeing it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the birds of the sky.
| ازچشم تمامی زندگان پنهان است، و از مرغان هوامخفی می‌باشد. | ۲۱ |
22 Destruction and Death say, ‘We have heard a rumour of it with our ears.’
| ابدون و موت می‌گویند که آوازه آن را به گوش خود شنیده‌ایم. | ۲۲ |
23 “God understands its way, and he knows its place.
| خدا راه آن را درک می‌کند و او مکانش را می‌داند. | ۲۳ |
24 For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole sky.
| زیراکه او تا کرانه های زمین می‌نگرد و آنچه را که زیرتمامی آسمان است می‌بیند. | ۲۴ |
25 He establishes the force of the wind. Yes, he measures out the waters by measure.
| تا وزن از برای بادقرار دهد، و آبها را به میزان بپیماید. | ۲۵ |
26 When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder,
| هنگامی که قانونی برای باران قرار داد، و راهی برای سهام رعد، | ۲۶ |
27 then he saw it, and declared it. He established it, yes, and searched it out.
| آنگاه آن را دید و آن را بیان کرد. آن رامهیا ساخت و هم تفتیشش نمود. | ۲۷ |
28 To man he said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.’”
| و به انسان گفت: اینک ترس خداوند حکمت است، و ازبدی اجتناب نمودن، فطانت می‌باشد.» | ۲۸ |
