< Jeremiah 48 >
1 Of Moab. The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Woe to Nebo! For it is laid waste. Kiriathaim is disappointed. It is taken. Misgab is put to shame and broken down.
Ty amy Moabe, hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele: hankàñe amy Nebo! fa peake, nisalareñe t’i Kiriataime fa tsinepake; nimeñareñe ty Misgabe vaho mioremeñe.
2 The praise of Moab is no more. In Heshbon they have devised evil against her: ‘Come! Let’s cut her off from being a nation.’ You also, Madmen, will be brought to silence. The sword will pursue you.
Tsy eo ka ty enge’ i Moabe; nikinia raty aze o e Kesboneo: Antao hampipitsok’aze tsy ho fifeheañe, hampitsiñeñe ka irehe, Medmene, hañoridañ’azo i fibaray.
3 The sound of a cry from Horonaim, desolation and great destruction!
Inao ty koike boak’e Koronaime fikopahañe naho fandrotsaham-bey.
4 Moab is destroyed. Her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
Rotsake t’i Moabe, nipoñafe’ o keleia’eo ty koiake.
5 For they will go up by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping. For at the descent of Horonaim they have heard the distress of the cry of destruction.
Hitolom-pirovetse iereo te hanganike ty fitroara’ i Lokote ami’ty fizotsoa’ i Koronaime ty nahajanjiña’ iareo ty fikaiham-pandrotsahañe.
6 Flee! Save your lives! Be like the juniper bush in the wilderness.
Mitribaha, handrombaha’ areo fiaiñe, mihambaña ami’ty kile an-dratraratra añe.
7 For, because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you also will be taken. Chemosh will go out into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
Ho tsepaheñe ka nahareo ami’ty fiatoa’ areo amo tolon-draha’ areoo, naho amo vara’ areoo; hasese am-pandrohizañe añe ty Kemise, o mpisoro’eo rekets’ o roandria’eo.
8 The destroyer will come on every city, and no city will escape; the valley also will perish, and the plain will be destroyed, as the LORD has spoken.
Songa hiambotraha’ i mpitavañey o rovao, ndra rova raike tsy hahavoratsake; ho momoke i vavataney, hampiantoeñe i montoñey, ami’ty saontsi’ Iehovà.
9 Give wings to Moab, that she may fly and get herself away: and her cities will become a desolation, without anyone to dwell in them.
Toloro elatse t’i Moabe, hiborifita’e, fa hampangoakoaheñe o rova’eo, ie tsy ho amam-pimoneñe.
10 “Cursed is he who does the work of the LORD negligently; and cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.
Hozoñeñe t’indaty mitoloñe ho a’ Iehovà am-pitañe milesa, hafàtse ty mitañe i fibara’ey tsy ho aman-dio.
11 “Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his dregs, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity; therefore his taste remains in him, and his scent is not changed.
Fa nierañerañe sikal’ am-pahajalahy aze t’i Moabe, naho fa nitadrètse amo karafo’eo, tsy nañiliñañe an-jonjoñ’an-jonjoñe, vaho le lia’e tsy nasese am-pandrohizañe añe; aa le mbe ama’e ty hafira’e, vaho tsy niova ty harifondrifo’e.
12 Therefore behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that I will send to him those who pour off, and they will pour him off; and they will empty his vessels, and break their containers in pieces.
Aa le, ingo ho tondroke ty andro, hoe t’Iehovà, te hampañitrifeko ama’e ty mpañiliñe, ze hañiliñe aze; ho fonga kapaihe’ iareo o fitovi’eo, vaho ho foie’ iereo o zonjò’eo.
13 Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.
Ho salatse amy Kemose t’i Moabe, manahake ty nisalara’ Israele amy Betele fatokisa’ iareoy.
14 “How do you say, ‘We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war’?
Akore te anoe’ areo ty hoe: Ondaty maozatse zahay, fanalolahy añ’aly’?
15 Moab is laid waste, and they have gone up into his cities, and his chosen young men have gone down to the slaughter,” says the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts.
Mianto t’i Moabe, fa nionjoñe mb’amo rova’eo, fa nizotso mb’am-pizamanam-b’eo o ajalahy jinobo’eo, hoe t’i Mpanjaka, Iehovà’ i Màroy ty tahina’e.
16 “The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hurries fast.
Fa antitotse ty hekoheko’ i Moabe, malisa i feh-oha’ey.
17 All you who are around him, bemoan him; and all you who know his name, say, ‘How the strong staff is broken, the beautiful rod!’
Mandalà aze ry mañohok’ azeo, ano ty hoe ama’e ry mahafohiñe i tahina’ey: Akore te pinozake i kobaiñe maozatsey, i doda fanjakay.
18 “You daughter who dwells in Dibon, come down from your glory, and sit in thirst; for the destroyer of Moab has come up against you. He has destroyed your strongholds.
O ry anak’ampela mimoneñe e Dibone ao, mizotsoa amo enge’oo, mitoboha an-kataliñiera’o eo, fa nionjomb’ama’o mb’eo ty mampikoromake i Moabe, fa songa narotsa’e o rova’o fatratseo.
19 Inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way and watch. Ask him who flees, and her who escapes; say, ‘What has been done?’
O ry mpimone’ i Arore, mijohaña amy lalañey, vaho mijilova; añontaneo i mioratsey, ty hoe: Inom-bao o nifetsakeo?
20 Moab is disappointed; for it is broken down. Wail and cry! Tell it by the Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.
Nisalareñe t’i Moabe, le mioremeñe; mangololoiha vaho mikoiha; tseizo e Arnone ao te mianto t’i Moabe.
21 Judgement has come on the plain country— on Holon, on Jahzah, on Mephaath,
Fa niambotraha’ ty zaka o tane amontoñeo, t’i Kolone, Iatsà, vaho i Mefaate,
22 on Dibon, on Nebo, on Beth Diblathaim,
Le i Dibone, i Nebo, naho i Bet’diblataime.
23 on Kiriathaim, on Beth Gamul, on Beth Meon,
Le i Kiriataime naho i Bet’gamole vaho i Bet’meone.
24 on Kerioth, on Bozrah, and on all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
Le i Keriote naho i Botsrà vaho o hene rova an-tane’ i Moabeo, o lavitseo naho o marìneo.
25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken,” says the LORD.
Fa nipitsok’ añe ty tsifa’ i Moabe, pinozake i sira’ey, hoe t’Iehovà.
26 “Make him drunk, for he magnified himself against the LORD. Moab will wallow in his vomit, and he also will be in derision.
Ampimamò, amy te nampiebore’e am’ Iehovà ty vata’e; fa hitorokosek’ amy loa’ey t’i Moabe, vaho ho rabioñeñe.
27 For wasn’t Israel a derision to you? Was he found amongst thieves? For as often as you speak of him, you shake your head.
Aa tsy nandrabioña’o hao t’Israele? Nizoeñe amo malasoo hao? amy te mikofi-doha ama’e irehe ndra ‘mbiambia isaontsia’o.
28 You inhabitants of Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock. Be like the dove that makes her nest over the mouth of the abyss.
O ry mpimoneñe e Moabe ao, Miavota amo rovao naho mimoneña an-tseran-kereretsake ao, vaho mihambaña ami’ty deho manao traño añ’ilam-bava’ i koboñey.
29 “We have heard of the pride of Moab. He is very proud in his loftiness, his pride, his arrogance, and the arrogance of his heart.
Fa jinanji’ay ty firengevoha’ i Moabey; toe mpitoabotse, amy fibohaboha’ey, naho ty fiengeña’e vaho ty fitrotroabohan’arofo’e.
30 I know his wrath,” says the LORD, “that it is nothing; his boastings have done nothing.
Haiko o habose’eo, hoe t’Iehovà, t’ie kafoake, tsy naha-pi-draha o fikoiboha’eo.
31 Therefore I will wail for Moab. Yes, I will cry out for all Moab. They will mourn for the men of Kir Heres.
Aa le hangoihoiako ty Moabe; eka hikoiako ty halifora’ i Moabe; hihontofa’ ty troko o nte-Kir’kereseo.
32 With more than the weeping of Jazer I will weep for you, vine of Sibmah. Your branches passed over the sea. They reached even to the sea of Jazer. The destroyer has fallen on your summer fruits and on your vintage.
Mandikoatse ty firoveta’ Iazere ty hitañiako azo, ry vahe’ i Sibmà; nikazazake nahafitsake i riakey o tsampa’oo, nitakare’ iareo ty ria’ Iazere; amo voa’ o asarao, naho amo vahe’oo ty niambotraha’ i mpandrotsakey.
33 Gladness and joy is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab. I have caused wine to cease from the wine presses. No one will tread with shouting. The shouting will be no shouting.
Tinavañe amy tonda kobokaray ty hafaleañe naho ty firebehañe, vaho an-tane’ Moabe; fa najiheko tsy hiboak’ amo fipiritañeo ty divay; tsy eo ty handialia aze an-koike, tsy ho fifandian-taroba i korakey.
34 From the cry of Heshbon even to Elealeh, even to Jahaz they have uttered their voice, from Zoar even to Horonaim, to Eglath Shelishiyah; for the waters of Nimrim will also become desolate.
Boak’ ami’ty fikoiha’ i Kesbone pak’e Eleale, sikal’am’ Iazere ty nikaiha’ ty fiarañanaña’ iareo; boak’e Tsoare pak’e Koronaime, hoe tamanañe telo taoñe; fa ho kòake ka ty Rano’ i Nimrime.
35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab,” says the LORD, “him who offers in the high place, and him who burns incense to his gods.
Mbore hajiheko amy Moabe, hoe t’Iehovà, ty mañenga amo haboañeo, naho i mañemboke aman-drahare’ey.
36 Therefore my heart sounds for Moab like flutes, and my heart sounds like flutes for the men of Kir Heres. Therefore the abundance that he has gotten has perished.
Aa le mangolalaike ho a i Moabe manahake o solio ty foko vaho mandala hoe firirio ho a ondati’ i Kir’kereseo ty troko; fa mongotse ty vara natonto’e.
37 For every head is bald, and every beard clipped. There are cuttings on all the hands, and sackcloth on the waist.
Fonga peake o añamboneo, songa hinaratse o tateahetseo; sindre linily o fitañeo vaho gony ty sikin-tohake.
38 On all the housetops of Moab, and in its streets, there is lamentation everywhere; for I have broken Moab like a vessel in which no one delights,” says the LORD.
Tsitsik’ ambone’ tafo’ i Moabe naho mandrambañ’ an-tameañe ey, le firovetañe avao ty ao; fa finoiko hoe karabiba tsy rei-tave t’i Moabe, hoe t’Iehovà.
39 “How it is broken down! How they wail! How Moab has turned the back with shame! So will Moab become a derision and a terror to all who are around him.”
Akore ty fivolentsa’e, mangololoiha! Akore te niamboho t’i Mobe! salatse re! Aa le ho fiankahafañe naho fiantoañe avao t’i Moabe amo mañohok’ azeo.
40 For the LORD says: “Behold, he will fly as an eagle, and will spread out his wings against Moab.
Fa hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà: Ingo te eo ty hitiliñe hoe vantio, havela’e amy Moabe o ela’eo.
41 Kerioth is taken, and the strongholds are seized. The heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day will be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
Fa tinavañe o rovao, tsinepake o fipalirañe maozatseo, le hanahake ty tron’ ampela mitsongo ty arofo’ o fanalolahi’ i Moabeo amy andro zay.
42 Moab will be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against the LORD.
Le haitoañe tsy ho karaza’ ondaty t’i Moabe, amy t’ie nirengevok’ amy Iehovà.
43 Terror, the pit, and the snare are on you, inhabitant of Moab,” says the LORD.
Firevendreveñañe naho i koboñey, vaho i fandrikey ty ho ama’o, ry mpimoneñe e Moabe ao, hoe t’Iehovà.
44 “He who flees from the terror will fall into the pit; and he who gets up out of the pit will be taken in the snare, for I will bring on him, even on Moab, the year of their visitation,” says the LORD.
Hikapotrak’ an-koboñe ao ty mibotatsak’ amy mampihebakebakey, naho ho tsepahe’ ty fandrike ty mahafiakatse amy koboñey; fa hafetsako ama’e, eka, amy Moabe, ty taom-pitilihañe iareo, hoe t’Iehovà.
45 “Those who fled stand without strength under the shadow of Heshbon; for a fire has gone out of Heshbon, and a flame from the middle of Sihon, and has devoured the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
Mijagarodoñe tsy an-kaozarañe an-kàlo’ i Kesbone ao o nipoliotseo, fa nionjoñe boake Kesbone ty afo, naho boak’ añivo’ i Sihone ao ty lel’afo, ze namorototo ty lahara’ i Moabe, vaho ty hevo’ o mpikoràkeo.
46 Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh are undone; for your sons are taken away captive, and your daughters into captivity.
Hankàñe ama’o ry Moabe! Fa mibalake ondati’ i Kemoseo, amy te nasese mb’an-drohy mb’eo o ana-dahi’eo naho mb’am-bahoram-b’eo o anak’ampela’eo.
47 “Yet I will reverse the captivity of Moab in the latter days,” says the LORD. Thus far is the judgement of Moab.
Fe hafoteko amo andro honka’eo ty fandrohiza’ i Moabe, hoe t’Iehovà. Izay ty figadoñam-pizakañe i Moabe.
