< Isaiah 40 >
1 “Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.
Kai ih kaminawk to pahloep oh, pahloep oh, tiah na Sithaw mah thuih.
2 “Speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.”
Misa a tukhaih loe boeng boeh; a zaehaih doeh tahmen pae boeh, tiah Jerusalem pahloephaih lok to thui pae oh loe, hang oh; a zae o haihnawk pongah Angraeng danpaekhaih alet hnetto ah na yok o boeh, tiah thui pae oh.

Praezaek ah hang kami ih lok mah, Angraeng ih loklam to pakhrai oh; aicae Sithaw hanah praezaek ah katoeng manglaih lampui to sah oh.
4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain.
Kathuk longnawk to aphum oh loe, mae hoi maesomnawk to pahnaem oh; kangkoih lam to patoengh oh loe, kadue ai loklam to adue o sak ah.
5 The LORD’s glory shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.”
To tih nahaeloe kami boih mah hnuk hanah, Angraeng lensawkhaih to amtueng tih; Angraeng ih pakha mah hae tiah thuih boeh, tiah a thuih.
6 The voice of one saying, “Cry out!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.
To ih lok mah, Hang ah, tiah ang naa. Kaimah timaw ka hangh haih han loe? tiah ka naa. Kaminawk loe phroh baktiah ni oh o boih, lensawkhaihnawk boih doeh lawk ih apawk baktiah ni oh;

Angraeng ih takhi mah hmuh naah, phroh loe zaek moe, apawk doeh azaem; kami loe phroh baktiah ni oh tangtang.
8 The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever.”
Phroh loe zaek moe, apawk doeh azaem ving; toe aicae Sithaw ih lok loe dungzan khoek to cak poe tih.
9 You who tell good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength! Lift it up! Don’t be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold, your God!”
Aw Zion, kahoih tamthanglok sinkung, maesang nuiah daw tahang ah; Aw Jerusalem, kahoih tamthanglok sinkung, tha hoiah hang ah, zii ai ah, hang ah; Na Sithaw to khen oh! tiah Judah vangpuinawk khaeah thui paeh.
10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

Tuutoep kami mah tuunawk to pacah baktih toengah angmah ih tuunawk to pacah tih; tuucaanawk to a ban hoiah la ueloe, saoek ah tapom tih; caa tapen tuunawk loe amzaita hoiah hui tih.
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measuring basket, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
Ban hoi tuipuinawk tah kami, ban hoi van kar kami, benthang hoi maiphu tah kami, maenawk, maesomnawk coi hoiah tah kami loe mi aa?
13 Who has directed the LORD’s Spirit, or has taught him as his counsellor?

Angraeng loe mi hoiah maw lokram vaih, mi maw Angraeng to patuk moe, a caehhaih loklam to patuek vaih? Mi mah maw anih palunghahaih patuk moe, panoekhaih loklam patuek vaih?
15 Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.
Khenah, prae kaminawk loe tui suekhaih okduk pong ih tui kaca baktiah oh o moe, coi tahhaih pong ih kakap maiphu baktiah ni oh o; khenah, tuipui thung ih praenawk doeh maiphu baktiah ni a haeh.

Lebanon ih taw loe hmaitik han khawt ai; to taw thungah kaom moinawk doeh angbawnhaih sak hanah khawt ai.
17 All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity.
Prae kaminawk boih loe anih hmaa ah tidoeh athum ai, nihcae loe anih han tiah doeh om ai, azom pui ni.
18 To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?

19 A workman has cast an image, and the goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts silver chains for it.
Krang sah kami mah krang to thuk, sui sah kami mah a nuiah suitui to pazut moe, sumkanglung sah kami mah sumqui to a sak pae.
20 He who is too impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot. He seeks a skilful workman to set up a carved image for him that will not be moved.
Kamtang kami loe kahmawn thai ai thing to qoih moe, thing nuiah krang soisak hanah krang soi thaih kami to pakrong.
21 Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? Haven’t you been told from the beginning? Haven’t you understood from the foundations of the earth?
Na panoek o ai maw? Na thaih o ai maw? Tangsuek na hoiah na thui o ai maw? Long sak amtong tangsuek na hoiah na thaih o ai maw?
22 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,

24 They are planted scarcely. They are sown scarcely. Their stock has scarcely taken root in the ground. He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their army by number. He calls them all by name. By the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.
Van bangah na mik to padai noek ah; khenah, hae hmuennawk loe mi mah maw sak? Anih mah ni to ih cakaehnawk to maeto pacoeng maeto ohsak, nazetto maw oh o, tito anih mah panoek bit moe, ahmin hoiah kawk boih; anih loe thacak moe, sakthaihaih hoiah akoep pongah, maeto doeh anghmaa o ai.

Aw Jakob, tipongah ka caehhaih loklam loe Angraeng mah panoek ai, tiah na thuih loe? Aw Israel, tipongah ka toenghaih hae Sithaw mah tiah doeh na sah pae ai, tiah na thuih loe?
28 Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
Angraeng loe, dungzan kahing Sithaw ah oh moe, long boenghaih Sahkung ah oh, anih loe thazok ai, angpho vai ai, a thoemhaih loe mi mah doeh panoek pae thai ai, tiah na panoek o ai maw?
29 He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.
Anih loe thazok kaminawk to tha ohsak moe, thacak ai kaminawk to thacaksak.
30 Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;
Thendoengnawk mataeng doeh thazok o ueloe, angpho o tih, nawksainawk doeh amthaek o ueloe, amtimh o tih;
31 but those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
