< Isaiah 29 >
1 Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;
Due wo Ariel, Ariel, kuropɔn a Dawid tenaa mu! Fa afe ka afe ho na ma wo mfirihyia mu afahyɛ ahorow no nkɔ so.
2 then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.
Nanso metua Ariel ano; obedi awerɛhow na wato kwadwom, ɔbɛyɛ sɛ afɔremuka so gya.
3 I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.
Mede dɔm betwa wo ho ahyia; mesisi abantenten atwa wo ho ahyia na madi ntuano dwuma atia wo.
4 You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.
Wɔasie wo no, wobɛkasa afi asase mu; wo kasa a mu ntew no befi mfutuma mu aba. Wo nne befi asase no mu aba te sɛ ɔsaman de; wo kasa befi mfutuma mu aka asomsɛm.
5 But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.
Nanso wʼatamfo bebrebe no bɛyɛ sɛ mfutuma muhumuhu, na atirimɔdenfo bebrebe no ayɛ sɛ ntɛtɛ a mframa abɔ. Ɛbɛba prɛko pɛ, amono mu hɔ ara.
6 She will be visited by the LORD of Hosts with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.
Asafo Awurade bɛba. Ɔde aprannaa ne asasewosow ne huuyɛ kɛse, mframahweam ne ahum ne ogyaframa a ɛhyew ade bɛba.
7 The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
Afei amanaman bebrebe a wotu Ariel so sa nyinaa, wɔn a wɔtow hyɛ ɔne nʼaban so na wotua nʼano no, ɛbɛyɛ wɔn sɛ adaeso, anaa anadwo mu anisoadehu.
8 It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.
Sɛnea obi a ɔkɔm de no so dae sɛ ɔredidi, na sɛ onyan a ɔte sɛ ɔkɔm de no no; sɛnea obi a osukɔm de no so dae sɛ ɔrenom nsu, nanso onyan a na watɔ beraw, na osukɔm de no ara no. Saa ara na ɛbɛyɛ ama amanaman dodow a wɔko tia Bepɔw Sion no.
9 Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
Mo ho nnwiriw mo na ɛnyɛ mo nwonwa, mo ani mfura a munhu ade; mommobow a emfi nsa, montotɔ ntintan a emfi bobesa.
10 For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.
Awurade de nnahɔɔ ato mo so: Wakata mo ani (adiyifo no); wakata mo ti so (adehufo no).
11 All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed;”
Mo de, saa anisoadehu yi nyinaa nka hwee mma mo, ɛte sɛ nsɛm a wɔasɔw ano wɔ nhoma mmobɔwee mu. Sɛ mode nhoma mmobɔwee no ma obi a, otumi kenkan, na moka kyerɛ no se, “Mesrɛ wo kenkan eyi” a, obebua se, “Merentumi, efisɛ wɔasɔw ano.”
12 and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t read.”
Sɛ nso, mode nhoma mmobɔwee no ma nea onnim akenkan, na moka kyerɛ no se, “Mesrɛ wo kenkan eyi” a, obebua se, “Minnim akenkan.”
13 The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honours me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
Awurade ka se, “Saa nnipa yi de anohunu twiw bɛn me na wɔde wɔn anofafa hyɛ me anuonyam, nanso wɔn koma mmɛn me. Som a wɔsom me no yɛ mmara a nnipa akyerɛ wɔn no nko ara.
14 therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work amongst this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”
Enti mɛma nnipa yi ho adwiriw wɔn bio mede anwonwade ntoatoaso bɛyɛ; mɛsɛe anyansafo nyansa, na mɛma nimdefo adenim ayɛ ɔkwa.”
15 Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from the LORD, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”
Wonnue, wɔn a wɔyɛ biribiara sɛ wɔde wɔn atirimpɔw behintaw Awurade, wɔn a wɔyɛ wɔn nnwuma wɔ sum ase na wosusuw sɛ, “Hena na ohu yɛn? Hena na ɔbɛte ase?”
16 You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay, that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me;” or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
Musisi nneɛma ti ase, sɛnea modwene sɛ ɔnwemfo te sɛ dɔte no! Nea wayɛ betumi aka akyerɛ nea ɔyɛe no se, “Ɛnyɛ wo na woyɛɛ me ana”? Kuku betumi aka afa ɔnwemfo ho se “Onnim hwee ana”?
17 Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?
Ɛrenkyɛ koraa, wɔrennan Lebanon nyɛ no asasebere na asasebere no nso nyɛ sɛ kwae ana?
18 In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
Saa da no, ɔsotifo bɛte nsɛm a ɛwɔ nhoma mmobɔwee no mu na kusuuyɛ ne esum mu mpo onifuraefo ani behu ade.
19 The humble also will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor amongst men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Ahobrɛasefo bedi ahurusi wɔ Awurade mu bio; ahiafo ho bɛsɛpɛw wɔn wɔ Israel Ɔkronkronni no mu.
20 For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—
Atutuwpɛfo bɛyera, wɔrenhu fɛwdifo bio, na wɔn a wodwen bɔne nyinaa, wobetwa wɔn agu,
21 who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for one who reproves in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.
wɔn a wɔka asɛm baako ma obi di fɔ, wɔn a wosum nea ɔreyi ne ho ano afiri wɔ asennii na wodi adansekurum ma wobu nea odi bem no fɔ no nso wobetwa wɔn agu.
22 Therefore the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, says concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.
Enti sɛɛ na Awurade a ogyee Abraham nkwa no ka kyerɛ Yakob fifo: “Yakob anim rengu ase bio; wɔn anim rehoa bio.
23 But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the middle of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
Sɛ wohu wɔn mma wɔ wɔn mu, wɔn a wɔyɛ me nsa ano adwuma no a wɔbɛyɛ me din no kronkron; wobegye Yakob ɔkronkronni no kronkronyɛ ato mu, na wɔde fɛre agyina Israel Nyankopɔn no anim.
24 They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
Wɔn a wɔfom kwan wɔ honhom mu benya ntease; wɔn a wonwiinwii nso begye nkyerɛkyerɛ ato mu.”
