< Isaiah 10 >
1 Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees
Nga zibasanze abo abateeka amateeka agatali ga bwenkanya, n’abo abawa ebiragiro ebinyigiriza,
2 to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor amongst my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
okulemesa abaavu ne batafuna nsala ebagwanidde; era n’okunyaga ku bantu bange abaavu ebyabwe, ne bafuula bannamwandu omunyago gwabwe, n’abatalina ba kitaabwe omuyiggo gwabwe!
3 What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?
Mulikola mutya ku lunaku Mukama lwalisalirako omusango ne mu kuzikirira okuliva ewala? Muliddukira w’ani alibayamba? Obugagga bwammwe mulibuleka wa?
4 They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Muliba temusigazza kya kukola kirala wabula okutwalibwa nga mukutaamiridde mu busibe oba okuba mu abo abattiddwa. Naye wadde nga biri bityo, obusungu bwe buliba tebunnaggwaawo, era n’omukono gwe guliba gukyagoloddwa.
5 Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!
“Zikusanze Bwasuli, omuggo gw’obusungu bwange, era omuggo gw’ekiruyi kyange.
6 I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
Mmutuma okulumba eggwanga eritatya Mukama, era mmusindika eri abantu abansunguwazizza, abanyage, ababbire ddala, n’okubasambirira abasambirire ng’ebitoomi eby’omu nguudo.
7 However, he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.
Naye kino si kye kigendererwa kye, kino si ky’alowooza. Ekigendererwa kye kwe kuzikiriza, okumalirawo ddala amawanga mangi.
8 For he says, “Aren’t all of my princes kings?
‘Abaduumizi bange bonna tebenkana bakabaka?’ bw’atyo bw’ayogera.
9 Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”
‘Kalino tetwakizikiriza nga Kalukemisi, ne Kamasi nga Alupaadi, ne Samaliya nga Ddamasiko?
10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,
Ng’omukono gwange bwe gwawamba obwakabaka obusinza bakatonda ababajje, abasinga n’abo ab’omu Yerusaalemi ne Samaliya,
11 shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
nga bwe nakola Samaliya ne bakatonda baabwe abalala si bwe nnaakola Yerusaalemi ne bakatonda baabwe ababajje?’”
12 Therefore it will happen that when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the wilful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his arrogant looks.
Mukama bw’alimaliriza omulimu gwe ku lusozi Sayuuni era ne ku Yerusaalemi n’alyoka abonereza kabaka w’e Bwasuli olw’okwewaana n’okuduula kwe n’entunula ye ey’amalala.
13 For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.
Kubanga yayogera nti, “‘Bino byonna mbikoze olw’amaanyi g’omukono gwange, era n’olw’amagezi gange, kubanga ndi mukalabakalaba: Najjulula ensalo z’amawanga ne nnyaga obugagga bwabwe, ng’ow’amaanyi omuzira ne nzikakkanya bakabaka baabwe.
14 My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, I have gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”
Ng’omuntu bw’akwata mu kisu, omukono gwange gw’akunuukiriza ne gukwata mu bugagga bw’amawanga; ng’abantu bwe balondalonda amagi agalekeddwawo, bwe ntyo bwe nakuŋŋaanya amawanga gonna, tewali na limu lyayanjuluza ku kiwaawaatiro, newaakubadde eryayasamya akamwa kaalyo okukaaba.’”
15 Should an axe brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
Embazzi eyinza okweyita ey’ekitalo okusinga oyo agitemesa? Omusumeeno gulyekuza okusinga oyo agusazisa? Gy’obeera nti oluga luyinza okuwuuba omuntu alukozesa, oba omuggo okusitula oyo atali muti.
16 Therefore the Lord, GOD of Hosts, will send amongst his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.
Noolwekyo Mukama, Mukama Katonda Ayinzabyonna, kyaliva aweereza obukovvu bulye abasajja be abaagejja, era wansi w’okujaganya n’ekitiibwa kye akoleeze wo omuliro ogwokya ng’oluyiira.
17 The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
Ekitangaala kya Isirayiri kirifuuka omuliro, n’Omutukuvu waabwe abeere olulimi lw’omuliro, mu lunaku lumu kyokye kimalirewo ddala amaggwa ge n’emyeramannyo gye.
18 He will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.
Era kiryokya ne kimalirawo ddala ekitiibwa ky’ebibira bye, n’ennimiro ze, engimu, ng’omusajja omulwadde bwaggweerawo ddala.
19 The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
N’emiti egy’omu kibira kye egirisigalawo giriba mitono nnyo nga n’omwana ayinza okugibala.
20 It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
Awo olulituuka ku lunaku olwo, abaliba bafisseewo ku Isirayiri, n’abo abaliba bawonye ku nnyumba ya Yakobo nga tebakyeyinulira ku oyo eyabakuba naye nga beesigama ku Mukama Katonda, omutukuvu wa Isirayiri mu mazima.
21 A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.
Ekitundu ekirifikkawo kirikomawo, ekitundu kya Yakobo kirikomawo eri Katonda ow’amaanyi.
22 For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
Kubanga wadde abantu bo bangi ng’omusenyu gw’ennyanja, abalikomawo nga balamu baliba batono. Okuzikirira kwo kwa kubaawo kubanga kusaanidde.
23 For the Lord, GOD of Hosts, will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
Kubanga Mukama, Mukama Katonda ow’Eggye alireeta enkomerero eteriiko kubuusabuusa nga bwe yateekateeka entuuko mu nsi yonna.
24 Therefore the Lord, GOD of Hosts, says, “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.
Noolwekyo Mukama, Mukama Katonda ow’Eggye kyava ayogera nti, “Mmwe abantu bange ababeera mu Sayuuni, temutyanga Abasuli, newaakubadde nga babakuba n’oluga era nga babagololera omuggo nga Abamisiri bwe baakola.
25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”
Kubanga mu kaseera katono nnyo obusungu bwange gy’oli bujja kukoma era ekiruyi kyange kiribazikiriza.”
26 The LORD of Hosts will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.
Mukama Katonda ow’Eggye alibakuba n’akaswanyu nga bwe yakuba aba Midiyaani ku lwazi lw’e Olebu. Era aligololera oluga lwe ku nnyanja nga bwe yakola e Misiri.
27 It will happen in that day that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
Ku lunaku olwo, omugugu gwe guliggyibwa ku bibegabega byo, n’ekikoligo kye kive ku nsingo yo; ekikoligo kirimenyebwa olw’obugevvu bwo.
28 He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.
Laba eggye ly’omulabe lituuse liwambye Yagasi, liyise mu Migulooni, era mu Mikumasi gye balireka emigugu gyabwe.
29 They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.
Bayise awavvuunukirwa, e Geba ne basulayo ekiro kimu, Laama akankana, Gibea wa Sawulo adduse.
30 Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
Kaaba n’eddoboozi ery’omwanguka ggwe omuwala wa Galimu! Ggwe Layisa wuliriza! Ng’olabye Anasosi!
31 Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
Madumena adduse, abantu b’e Gebimu beekukumye.
32 This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Olwa leero bajja kusibira Nobu, balyolekeza ekikonde kyabwe eri olusozi lwa Muwala wa Sayuuni, akasozi ka Yerusaalemi.
33 Behold, the Lord, GOD of Hosts, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
Laba, Mukama, Mukama Katonda ow’Eggye, alitema amatabi n’entiisa n’emiti emiwanvu n’emiwagguufu giritemerwa ddala, n’emiti emiwanvu girikkakkanyizibwa.
34 He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
Era alitemera ddala n’embazzi ebisaka by’omu kibira; Lebanooni aligwa mu maaso g’oyo Ayinzabyonna.
