< Hebrews 11 >

1 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
Tu in upna sia i lametna te atu in tha muanna a hihi, i mu ngawl nate om takpi hi, ci ki telsakna a hihi.
2 For by this, the elders obtained approval.
Banghangziam cile upna tungtawn in tanglai upa te in minpha nga uh hi.
3 By faith we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible. (aiōn g165)
Leitung sia Pathian thu taw a ki bitphua a hihi, tua ahikom a ki mu thei nate sia a ki mu thei nate pan in a ki vawt hi ngawl hi, ci sia upna tungtawn in i he thei hi. (aiōn g165)
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had testimony given to him that he was righteous, God testifying with respect to his gifts; and through it he, being dead, still speaks.
Abel in Cain sang in a phazaw biakpiakna sia upna tungtawn in pia hi, tua upna tungtawn in ama sia thutang hi, ci na tetti nga a, tua hu in thi napi, thu hong hil lai hi.
5 By faith Enoch was taken away, so that he wouldn’t see death, and he was not found, because God translated him. For he has had testimony given to him that before his translation he had been well pleasing to God.
Upna tungtawn in Enoch sia thi na tep ngawl tu in lumlet a; kuama in ama mu ngawl hi, banghangziam cile Pathian in ama sia lumlet zo a: a ki lumle ma in, Pathian lungkimsak hi, ci in tetti panna nei hi.
6 Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
Ahihang upna ngawl taw Pathian lungkimsak tu sia suak thei ngawl hi: banghangziam cile Pathian kung a pai peuma in Pathian om hi, ci le hanciam in Ama a zong peuma thaman pia pa a hihi, ci sia a up kul hi.
7 By faith Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Upna tungtawn in, Noah in a mu ngawl lai thu te sung ah, Pathian in kinginna a piak ciang in, Pathian lau a, a innkuan ngupna tu in tembaw sa hi; tua a upna hu in leitung mite mawsak a, upna tungtawn in thutang suana ngamhlua hong suak hi.
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.
Upna tungtawn in Abraham sia a ngamlua tu mun ah pai tu in, Pathian in a sap ciang in, a pai natu mun he ngawl napi; thu ni in pai hi.
9 By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.
Upna tungtawn in kamciam ngam sung ah peamta in om a, ngamdang ah om bang in puanbuk sung ah kamciam kibangtek a nga Isaac le Jacob te taw teangkhawm uh hi:
10 For he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Banghangziam cile ama in Pathian i patsa, a saksa le a vawtsa khuapi kip sia lamen in ngak hi.
11 By faith even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.
Sarah zong upna tungtawn in a kum val zawkciang, naupai tu in thahat na nga a, nau nei hi, banghangziam cile kamciam a pia pa sia thuman hi, ci ngaisun hi.
12 Therefore as many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the sea shore, were fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.
Tua ahikom ama sia mithi bang hi napi, khat sung pan in aksi za le tuipi vaal ah senneal za, a ki sim zo ngawl mihonpi te suaksak hi.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Hi mite sia kamciam te sang tha ngawl in a vekpi in upna taw thi uh hi, ahihang a khualapi pan in mu uh a, tua te in amate a kaizot uh hu in, khotak in pom a, hileitung ah peamta te le khualhaw te a hina pualak hi.
14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.
Banghangziam cile tabang thu a hil te in amate sia ngam khat zong hi, ci sia thiangtak in phuang hi.
15 If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.
Amate pusua na ngam sia thangai uh hile, heakkik theina hunpha nei hi.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
Ahihang amate in a phazaw vantung ngam lungngul zaw a hi hu in, Pathian in, amate i Pathian, a kici natu sia maizum ngawl hi: banghangziam cile Pathian in amate atu in khuapi vawtkholsak hi.
17 By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his only born son,

Tua a tapa thu sia, Isaac sung ah na suan le pal min kip tu hi, ci hi:

Pathian in thina pan in thokiksak thei hi, ci ngaisun hi; tua mun pan in a tapa sia thina pan in a nga, ci telsakna a hihi.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even concerning things to come.

21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshipped, leaning on the top of his staff.

23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw that he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
Upna tungtawn in Moses in, a khanthin ciang in, Pharaoh tanu i tapa, a kici tu sia nial a;
25 choosing rather to share ill treatment with God’s people than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time,

27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Upna tungtawn in ama in Egypt ngam nusia a, kumpipa thin-ukna zong lau ngawl hi: banghangziam cile a ki mu thei ngawl Pathian a mu hang in thuakzo hi.
28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn should not touch them.
Tapa upabel siatsua pa in amate thutha ngawl tu in upna tungtawn in paisanpoai le thisan thee na vawt uh hi.

32 What more shall I say? For the time would fail me if I told of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets—

37 They were stoned. They were sawn apart. They were tempted. They were slain with the sword. They went around in sheep skins and in goat skins; being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated—
